Back to where it all started. We love this hotel we follow the exceptional Nguyen Thuy Bich( Julie ) wherever she is . The staff that work with her are also very good , you always are greeted with a smile and nothing is a bother to them . The best beds big and comfortable . We cannot rate this hotel and staff high enough . Great breakfast always fresh . Julie can also organise tours, car pick up and drop offs all at a good price .

Amazing last 2 days of our tour in Vietnam by staying at this hotel ! Hotel with a great team. Everyone smiles and eager to help for all reasonable request. We have reached late from SAPA (Hill station), they have sent an email to check what time, we will be checking-in. The check-in was swift and they also upgraded our room at no additional cost. We loved the Antique design of the rooms. They showed our room and explain the various facilities. The hotel entrance is on narrow road but it is very beautiful from the inside. The exchange rate offered (USD and Vietnamese Dong) is also good at the hotel. The hotel is very near to many eateries, beer street and mini-marts. The hotel has elevator. The breakfast has few items and some other items can be ordered with a menu. Hotel has also helped to book Halong Bay Day Trip, which was amazing too as we were a little worried to book it without reading its review but the tour was very good. The tour guide was an nice person. The hotel has also helped to book car to send us back to airport at very reasonable rate at our convenient time. They helped to keep our luggage safe when we went for Halong Bay Day Trip. Overall, a lovely stay during our last 2 days of Vietnam Trip and highly recommended to stay in this hotel, specially with family.

Staying at Hanoi Royal made all the difference for our trip. From the beginning, the staff was very helpful. We secured the airport transport provided. The location is great, walkable to may tourist sites (17mn to the lake, 15mn walk to Train street and the famous Banm Mi 25, great restaurants 1mn nearby ( Bun Cha ta and Hanoi Food culture). It was great to be able to walk to nightlife yet not really be part of it. The staff helped us customize our sightseeing depending on the day and weather. The real local touch we wanted! We booked the top room with city view and balcony on airbnb. It was very spacious, the bed was large and comfortable. It had glass windows all around, although we noticed a new construction right next door so it's not a full 360 view. I loved that they gave us bottles of water everyday & some fruits and snacks in the room were included. The breakfast was an extra touch, I liked the thai dishes and the coffee was adequate. This place perfectly captured the charm and the hustle of Hanoi, would certainly return.

Decided to stay at this place after reading reviews online and have to say wasn't disappointed. Dont go by the narrow alley the entry is from. Things are better than it looks The rooms were immaculate. Loved the interiors. Staff was very loving and cheerful. The location is in the heart of Old Quarters Hanoi and most of the places are accessible just by walk I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Old Quarters Hanoi without spending much from their pocket.

The room was incredible and the service was phenomenal. Every detail taken care of and such a great value in the old quarter. I’ve stayed at several hotels in Hanoi, this was my favorite. Julie made an extra effort to give me local tips and recommendations for food and entertainment. Staying here next time I am in Hanoi!

It says "homestay" on the hotelsign and thst is true. Very friendly staff from cleaning(daily wet cleaning😀) and kitchen to the front desk, where they speak English very well. Ordered airport pickup and day trips and it worked perfect. Also got other good tips from Julie & Co at the reception. It is 5 min to Beer corner and you are in IN the old town. Would stay here next time as well 👍🏻👍🏻.

Simply the best i would say. The location is very good itself. The rooms, hospitality and the foods were awesome. They also have lots of tour options and tickets of bus and train. One can easily book with them. Very near to old city market and bus stops. Lots of restaurant and coffee shop around

The staff is nice! I didn’t book with breakfast on Agoda so I checked with the hotel if I could add breakfast and pay on site. When I checked in, the staff served me free breakfast for my 1-day stay. The hotel is located near the club/bar street but the music and the noise don’t affect the quality of the rest. The room is okay, the floor is a bit uneven. The fan in the toilet is loud and the dryer couldn’t work well. The bed is so comfortable! The overall experience is great with the decent price and the location convenience.

I stayed in 4 hotels in Hanoi (a result of going back and forth to nearby locations), and this was one of my favorite. The rooms have hot water makers, are clean, and have lots of outlets and nice windows. The free breakfast is big and and delicious. The woman at the front desk is patient and kind.

The room was clean and well-appointed though a bit small. Location was very convenient. Staff is simply fantastic. While away across town to see doctor, my plan changed so that I had to go to airport right away to fly to Da Nang. I have asked Ruby(staff) to ship my bag to me on motorbike. Ruby and the staff came through and I have received my bag while in the doctor's office avoiding having to back track to collect my bag. I can't thank the staff enough. I came to sighrsee Vietnam. It is people like Ruby that make my trip to Vietnam memorable. I highly recommend Hotel Hanoi Royal and its staff.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. For breakfast we could choose from multiple dishes. The banana pancakes were lovely! Enough fruit, tea and coffee available. However, the best part of this hotel is Julie. The manager will not only help with your further travels, but will also advise you on a personal level. And speaks really well English. She made our stay complete.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond all our expectations. We had a friend fly and we decided to extend his stay and thought the hotel was full, they sent their staff around to nearby hotels to ask for openings for our friend. They had an amazing breakfast that is cooked to order and was delicious! We loved them all so much and when we return, we will definitely stay here again!!!

We loved our stay(s) at this hotel! We booked this place last minute and it was really the perfect hotel for us while visiting Hanoi. The staff are so kind and helpful, happy to do whatever they can to make your stay great. The room was very clean and comfortable with AC and a fan which was so helpful for hot nights. The location is very convenient to all the central Hanoi activities but on a back alleyway so it’s quieter than most hotels in the area. We can’t wait to come back at the end of our trip in Vietnam!

Our room was so cozy and the furniture was very cute. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The area is conveniently located. There is a lot of street noise you can hear from the room all night, so avoid this place if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was good and they had a big selection of Vietnamese and Western style breakfast.

The nicest staff we have ever stayed with! Just transferred in from Bangkok late and they were very welcoming with tea and recommendations for food nearby. The location is centrally located near streets of fun bars and the weekend market!! The only issue was some street noise during the night, but the bed was so comfortable (and huge) that we didn’t mind!

Very nice place to stay, friendly English speaking staff, excellent breakfast. It was the perfect place for us to recover from a long flight. Location is very good in the centre of Hanoi's old quarter. The receptionist gave us recommendations where to go at night and where to find good restaurants. I can highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Had an amazing stay here. The team is very friendly, helpful and well organized. They helped me a lot to plan steps of my trip and were pleased to support with any inquiry. Also booked train for me and even brought me to the train station. I will definitely stay here again in case I come back to Hanoi. Rooms really look like on the pictures and are very clean, spacious and comfortable.

A luxury hotel in the middle of Hanoi with excellent location within a walking distance from Hanoi Lake, Museums, and other attractions. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, specially the descent delicate reception lady. Breakfast is very delicious and diverse. Fruits, tea, and Coffee are free all day. Reception took care of my excursions and honestly booked very good day trips for us.

Fantastic place to stay in Hanoi. The hotel is located within the old quarter which is by far the best area to stay in Hanoi. English speaking staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite, spacious, and clean with soft beds. And they offer a great selection for breakfast.

Very clean room and incredibly nice and helpful staff! The staff helped us make reservations for new year's Eve dinner on the day of, and we even changed our minds multiple times and they continued to help! The front desk staff was incredibly nice and always smiling! Really hospitable hotel :)

The average review score really speaks for itself. For a small-scale hotel, the whole experience was really beyond my expectation. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, going above and beyond with their service, giving out lots of local tips and attentive with what I needed during my stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean, at such an affordable price. I ended up extended my stay with them as it was just so convenient to get to anywhere in the Old Quarter area, yet very nice and quiet.

Great place to stay, excellent location and very good service. The two girls at the front desk are very nice and give you a lot of advice of what things to do and what things to be careful, they speak very good English. We reserved our Halong bay cruise with the hotel and had a good experience too, on top of that they gave me an hotel number and message me through what’s app to make sure everything was as expected. Bedrooms are also very nice. Would definitely stay again. (Picture is of the room the day we left, I forgot to take a picture the day we arrived)

Location is perfectly close to many activities and nightlife, great room for price, but the best part was the customer service and support: Rose (Ngoc) and the others have been super helpful in organizing trips and rides, giving us tips and recommendations and on top of that they speak great English. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. We booked the suite which had a balcony and full height window panels on 3 sides (except the door entrance side) and we were able to have a view outside the hotel while in our room. Bed was cosy. Although no breakfast is served (even if you want it) because of COVID-19, there were vietnamese restaurants nearby, which we had Banh Cuon.

Lots of street noise. Uncomfortable beds. Haven’t slept even one night out of the two.

We stayed here on our first nights in Vietnam, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. The hotel is clean, and a little off to a side road, so there is little noise. I have never slept in a bed that big before and it was comfortable to add! What makes this place so much better than we even expected was the warm welcome from everyone at reception. We were greeted by name and were always happy to stop for a chat. When a trip got cancelled and we needed to book another night, not only was this done without any fuss, but when we were greeted back, it felt like coming home :) I warmly recommend this place to anyone staying in Hanoi!
