The Schöller manor, or what is still preserved today, dates back to the 12th century. Part of the castle wall and the keep can still be seen today. These look very well maintained and complete. I'm happy that this manor exists here, because in the Wuppertal area there aren't too many medieval castles or walls that you can still find and see today. There is also a hiking car park and several hiking trails nearby. The Düssel also flows past in the immediate vicinity. Right next to the manor is the historic church of Schöller.

Einziger Kritikpunkt bei unserer Tour war die sehr unfreundliche Besitzerin (Pächterin?) der Wassermühle. Als wir versuchten, unserem Enkel die Mühle zu erklären, jagte sie uns mit unverschämten Worten davon!
