I had a horrible experience with Bonita and will never return to this practice. I am pregnant and after explaining I have been sick for over three weeks and having trouble breathing, Bonita was very accusatory seemed to think I was pill-shopping. It is inconceivable the amount of disrespect, dismissiveness and lack of care I received. After waiting in the exam room for close to three hours, I was told there was nothing that could be done for me. It is absolutely appalling to me that a pregnant woman (or any patient, for that matter) presenting with congestion and noticeably labored breathing could be so summarily dismissed. I will be reaching out to Meritus and filing a formal complaint.

If you are looking for a new Physican that will listen and take care of you look no further. There is a new Nurse Practioner at Meritus Family Medicine.....AMBER PECK. She is fabulous. She took the time to listen and really get to know me. She updated my personally file, got all my medications squared away. I'm not going to see anyone else but her there. She was amazing. Please see her if you need a new doctor or anything.

The staff here are wonderful. Dr. Beckwith takes his time and really cares about his patients. The wait time is hardly a few minutes normally and the Dr's are in quickly. By far, best family practice I've been to.

Dr. Bonita DeLoach- I would not recommend. I was in the office for at least 2 and half hours...mostly spoke with the nurse practitioner. I saw Dr. Bonita for 5 minutes and she walked out of the office and I still had questions. Never informed me that she was referring me to a GI doctor or that she was sending me for lab work (I had to ask the nurse.) I expressed my concern for my coughing and allergies...no medication was called in. Follow-up call the next day, I am emotional having a conversation with her and I get put on hold and the call was disconnected. She called back however, mid-way through our conversation without notice she puts me on hold, hangs up and never called back. How in anyway is this professional?? A doctor is supposed to listen to your concerns and address them...none of my concerns were ever heard or acknowledged. I am extremely frustrated with the way things were handled. Just an FYO for anyone who is looking for care. I'd choose a different doctor.

I have a one year and a newborn. On one occasion my one year was bleeding and when I called they emailed a nurse and said they'd get back with. Never got that call till the next day. Then my one year old got sick with a cold same thing happen. The most recent occasion to happen is with my newborn. Due to the fact that he was born premature and with breathing problems he's supposed to be seen that day. I called them because he was coughing and breathing was off a bit. I was told to call back the next day. He ended up in the hospital that night with RSV. They don't care about their patients. I wouldn't even take my cat here.

The only good thing I liked about Meritus was that they take their own blood samples so you don’t end up at labcorp. Other than that not great experiences, appears that they are poorly managed and hire subpar professionals. No consistency — some providers and staff are good, some aren’t. My latest experience — after testing positive for covid I called them to try to get meds, but no one available. I finally got a callback 4 hours later. UNACCEPTABLE.

I highly recommend Dr. J Kirk Livers (PA-C)! He is absolutely amazing! He listens to your concerns and always follows through. Really makes it an enjoyable doctor's visit everytime. Thank you for being great at what you do. We need more doctor's like you!

I am having a really hard time today getting my prior authorization to go through. I am pregnant, and have already waited 2 days with absolutely no medication. The staff over the phone when I call are very short and rude. Ive called the pharmacy and the insurance company first hand and they have no control until the doctor calls them and faxes the paper work over. I've never had this much trouble receiving a prior authorization in the past OR speaking to my previous doctor first hand when he is not busy. It shouldn't be this hard to have the doctor call the insurance company and explain the situation. I feel the severity of my message is not being relayed to the doctor and they wont allow me to speak to him personally. I really appreciate doctor beckwith, he is a great doctor. But the staff could definitely work on there communication skills.
