Cat Ba View Hotel was a fantastic stay and I could not recommend it any further. The hotel manager, Kin, was a gentleman and a very friendly man, who was happy to give me a great deal on a walk-in booking when arriving on the Island. Not only was Kin friendly and fantastic with his recommendations, he was more than caring and accomodating after spraining my ankle, and constantly checking in on me and to ensure I was comfortable - providing me with ice and medical supplies. The room was absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic balcony view and very accurate to the photos. The buffet breakfast was probably the best I have ever had, and I left each morning with a very full belly ready for a day of exploring and enjoying the comforts of the hotel. I would recommend Cat Ba View Hotel to anyone and everyone, and Kin will leave a good lasting memory for your time on Cat Ba Island. Fantastic - thanks again, Kin :)

I thought I had booked a room here on booking.com but I arrived to find out that I had actually booked a room at Cat Ba Sea View Hotel which is currently closed. I arrived at Cat Ba View hotel in the morning and the manager offered me breakfast at no charge and sorted a motorbike rental for me as I wanted to go to the national park. Upon returning, the manager informed me he could not find my booking and we realised my mistake of booking a different hotel. I tried to find a room elsewhere in Cat Ba but there was nothing available and, out of kindness, the manager offered me a room which usually costs more than twice what I had booked at the other hotel, for the same price. I am very appreciative of this kindness. The hotel itself was fantastic and one of the best places I’ve stayed in Vietnam. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I also had lunch and two breakfasts here and the food was amongst the best I have had in Vietnam. I will definitely return and I could not recommend this hotel higher to anyone visiting Cat Ba Island.

Worth every penny. Strongly Recommended. The hotel is located parallel to the main street. So not very easily noticeable but location is good. Kudos to all the staff. Very polite, helpful and courteous. One can not find better hotel staff than here. Rooms are clean, big and equipped with all the amenities you might need. All around great vibes in the hotel.

Best hotel service. The hotel manager is very helpful, during stay. He welcome with drinks and give advice about island. The location of this hotel is very nice,right near everything just up the hill from centre of town. Very pretty rooms and lovely balcony.

The customer service was unmatched! Flawless! The hotel manager was exceptionally kind, friendly and organised. We were able to book taxis, tours and rent motorbikes straight from reception! The breakfast food was amazing and overall it was a wonderful stay. This is one of the best affordable hotels I have stayed in in Vietnam. Can’t recommend it (and the staff) enough!

Really liked this hotel - a little hard to find at first as it’s tucked behind a main street. But, location is actually really good for the town. Reception is super friendly and helpful with organising transport. Our room was lovely and clean with a cute balcony. Nothing to complain about!

Service was perfect with check-in, welcome drinks, hot towels and other goodies. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were great. Booked tours with the hotel. It was a one day cruise and a cave tour. Both were a treat to the eye. Highly recommend to anyone in the town.

We've had a very nice stay. The host was very welcoming! The rooms were clean and spacious. We were upgraded to a room for 4, only needed a bed for 2. But you can stay there with a family of 4 for sure! Breakfast was also nice! When leaving, the kind host gave us a bottle of water for on the road. Big recommendation!!

Service: Best hotel service we've ever had. The hotel manager really went out of his way to help us during our stay. He welcomed us with a drink, gave us advice about the island, always gave us water when we left the building and booked a taxi for us when we left. Really stellar service - he went above and beyond. Location: Couldn't ask for better. Right near everything just up the hill from the center of town. Rooms: Very pretty rooms, lovely balcony. The curtains were a bit musty so should probably be changed, but this didn't change how great our stay was. All in all, couldn't recommend this place enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the cleanliness and service exceeded expectations, especially in light of the affordable price. Thank you to Nam, a staff member who was extremely friendly and made our stay pleasant. Situated close to the main street with a balcony overlooking the lush greenery behind the hotel. Tasty breakfast with both Vietnamese and western options. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Cat Ba View. Kin and his team are super nice and helped us with arranging all sorts of things (boat day trip, transport, laundry,..) Location is excellent, quiet street but close to the center. Very comfy bed and good shower. We liked it that much that we eventually stayed one night extra.

Very comfortable, clean hotel with AMAZING, FRIENDLY STAFF. The only Hotel we’ve stayed at on the trip who have cleaned the room every day! Breakfast was good. Location is ideal as it’s close to the town but behind a back street which is silent during the weekend (when there are lots of Vietnamese parties). The only slightly negative things was the price; it’s expensive for a 3-star Vietnamese hotel.

Unbelievable service. This is just an amazing hotel. If you are looking for a very clean place with nice airconditioning and beautiful rooms… look no further. I initially booked a room, but canceled it before coming to Vietnam as I booked an overnight boat trip. However, due to a storm our boat trip was canceled and we needed a place to stay. Of course the price had increased by the time we booked again but we were not disappointed at all. The service was more than worth the price and they even gave us breakfast- we were sorry to skip this. We spoke to others that told us the breakfast is amazing! So don’t skip it, they have Vietnamese food as well!

Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We were able to check in late in the evening and they even upgraded the room free of charge. We rented a scooter and booked our bus tickets from them also which made our travels a lot easier. Rooms were comfy and super clean and probably the best housekeeping at any hotel we have stayed at. Location is great, you can walk to everything you need. Best hotel in Cat Ba ❤️

We came for a one night stay and wanted to stay even more because of how lovely the staff were. The hotel itself is clean, modern, comes with a free breakfast which is absolutely delicious. The gentleman gave us water on our way out and a free bag of fruit - just really really lovely service. The rooms were clean, came with complimentary water, included towels shampoo etc (everything you could need). Breakfast was amazing. We needed a taxi asap and sure enough they ordered one for us that arrived immediately. It’s also super close to the beach and pier. Would highly highly highly recommend this superb hotel!!!!
