This
was
our
first
visit
back
after
the
original
hotel
had
under
gone
major
refurbishment.
We
opted
for
one
of
the
more
expensive
rooms
as
it
had
a
bath
aswell
as
a
shower
and
thought
we'd
spend
the
money
for
some
luxury.
On
arrival
we
were
able
to
park
in
one
of
the
hotel
parking
spaces
which
was
useful.
Greeted
by
a
friendly
receptionist
but
unsure
how
much
English
she
spoke,
if
any.
We
got
there
in
the
end.
After
a
4
hour
drive
in
38
degrees
and
being
incredibly
thirsty
we
were
able
to
obtain
bottled
pils
from
the
fridge
in
the
reception
area.
Top
shelve
drinks
like
gin
were
visibly
locked
away.
Thankfully
the
lift
is
now
operational
and
made
our
way
up
to
our
room,
112.
On
the
landing
was
an
honesty
fridge
with
cold
drinks
which
was
well
received.
Someone
kept
taking
the
alcoholic
beer,
🤣.
On
first
inspection
the
room
looked
lovely.
There
was
a
fridge
in
the
room
but
didn't
work
and
were
unable
to
enjoy
cold
drinks.
A
seperate
lounge
area
with
a
wardrobe,
tea
making
fascilities
and
a
small
flat
televison.
The
bedroom
unfortunately
had
two
single
beds
pushed
together.
It
would
have
been
better
and
more
comfortable
for
a
large
double.
The
large
flatscreen
television
was
a
cheap
generic
make
and
the
room
would
do
better
with
a
Samsung
television,
mainly
as
it's
compitable
with
Samsung
phones.
It
would
have
been
useful
to
have
a
printed
list
of
t.v
channels.
The
highlight
of
the
room
was
the
bathroom.
A
lovely
walk-in
shower
which
is
powerful
and
refreshing,
a
loo
(unsure
about
the
see-through
door)
and
a
bath
that
I
was
able
to
make
use
of.
There
is
some
rust
in
the
bath
that
needs
dealing
with.
Breakfast
was
a
buffet
style
with
option
of
a
hot
drink.
We
hadn't
realised
we
could
have
a
cooked
egg
of
our
choice
instead
of
the
boiled
egg
on
the
buffet
table.
This
should
have
been
made
clearer.
However,
what
we
had
was
nice.
Free
wifi.
We
hadn't
realised
at
the
time
of
staying
that
the
restaurant
and
hotel
opposite,
Hotel
Schwan,
is
now
owned
by
the
people
who
own
Bartmanns.
If
we
had
known
this,
we
would
have
gone
there
to
eat.
Last
time
we
ate
there
it
was
too
smokey
and
had
a
rude
women
running
it.
I
wish
this
information
has
been
made
known
to
us
on
arrival
as
Bartsmann
has
no
onsite
restaurant.
I
have
made
it
known
on
Tripadvisor
that
I
wouldn't
come
back
but
having
received
the
bill,
it
wasn't
as
expensive
as
we
thought
it
was
going
to
be,
I
will
stay
again
given
the
opportunity.
It
needs
a
few
adjustments,
information
book
in
the
bedrooms
would
be
a
great
start.
I'm
not
used
to
staying
in
a
hotel
where
the
reception
is
unmanned
at
night.
