One must consider that all reviews are subjective. That being said, when people say the rooms are super nice, It is being compared to other hotels in the area. If you are an American traveler staying here for the night, the rooms are comparable to a Super 8. They aren't the worst that you'll sleep in, but by no means would I say they are luxurious accomodations. We came as a group of four and only two of our rooms had hot water, they provide you with one towel, and the power shuts off periodically through the night. The view is spectacular, but it is just a view. There is no way to access the water, nor would you want to as this specific Bay is pretty packed with garbage. The location is charming but impractical. It is quite the walk to get to the city, and returning would be a nightmare without a vehicle. The staff is pretty hit and miss. The waiters at the resteraunt are friendly, but they appear to be poorly treated both by management and customers. If you are nice to them, they will be more than nice to you. Upon interacting with management, I am unimpressed. They are friendly but superficial. So long as you keep your interactions with them to a minimum, they will remain cordial.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we went with a group of about 20 for dinner. They made it buffet style since we were so many, but the food was actually amazing. They shrimp and rice dish was my favorite. The waiters were great as well and kept the wine and beer coming.

Fantastic service, especially from Gabriel. He spoke excellent English and was very happy to tell us about Cap-Haitien and helped us find ways to explore. He truly loves the city and it shows. We were made to feel at home not only in our beautiful room, but everywhere in the hotel! Would stay here upon returning.

The property is closed right now as they add new rooms and become a Marriott Autograph affiliate. The older portion should remain and that is where we stayed for a week. The food was great and all delivered fresh each day. The hotel is up on a mountainside so away from the noise of the city. We look for an announcement about their reopening.

The view of Cap Haitian is breathtaking since it is on the hill. The outdoor seating are is serene and beautiful. The room is very basic. The food is ok. Be ready to fork money for taxi since it is away from the strip where all the actions are.

My family & I needed a hotel to to stay at for 5 days during our trip to Haiti and honestly this hotel was my second option to Satama hotel. In the end we decided to go here and it was an amazing decision. This hotel is secure due to it being so far up so not everyone can get up there. Only people with great cars and tires could get up to the hotel so it was difficult and my family couldn’t come visit and spend time with us. They have a security guard during the night because the morning/afternoon shift people were gone until the night people came so he kinda covered outside and made sure everything was okay. The power went out ONCE during the night and it was back and running in less than 7 mins. Power going out is common in the city/country. Just about a great majority of the city didn’t have power except the good hotels (ours included) & the restaurants. The view was to die for!! Absolutely beautiful,so was the hotel. The staff was though some of them didn’t say anything. Every morning we had free breakfast. The breakfast was amazing and the grenadia juice I recommend omg. Drivers were provided to us to drive us down to meet our family every time we had to go somewhere. We got a single room with double bed which I expected to be bigger but it was honestly comfortable for 4 people. The room isn’t extravagant or anything like that but who cares? It was just a regular room with a tv, fridge no designs etc. Bathroom is very nice and modern. I only had dinner there one night which was the chicken sandwich and that was just amazing. Besides the whole getting up there without a good car situation, the only complaint I have was about the WiFi. We were on the second floor and there was no WiFi in our room. Only in our bathroom next to the toilet. Outside the rooms, there is this like sitting area which looks like a living room so that’s where we spent our time using the WiFi and also downstairs. That was a little frustrating having to leave my room every time I had to communicate with someone in America or check social media. Overall I was very satisfied with this hotel and next time I come to Haiti, I have to stay here again or else there is no point in even going lol. Thank you all so much for making our stay wonderful.

From the moment I walked in and meet Joseé at the reception desk to having Ben our waiter serve us, till the time I went to my room, The Presidential Suite Oiseau Du Paradis, my experience was quite magnificent. The staff was very attentive to our needs, and the room was breathtaking! Joseé was very professional and polite. He took the time to explain the amenities and had our welcome drinks 🍹 in our hands at a blink of an eye. Ben, our waiter, made sure the degree of spiciness to my food was to my liking. Everything was organic and came out hot and fresh when we sat down for dinner, breakfast, and lunch! Due to the room I was in, they reminded me of the sunrise at 0600 and how breathtaking it is. The room was magnificent! Telescopes are available to look at the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning on the balcony. The room was spotless and fit for a president (The Obamas stay in this room every visit). The staff at this hotel made sure you are well taken care of, especially the two aforementioned individuals. Apparently, Marriott is expanding this family owned paradise, and I hope they keep the regular staff I had the pleasure of meeting. The Marriott in Port-au-Prince is awful with customer service lacking. Habitation Jouissaint was my best experience in Haiti. It gives you a side of the true authentic Haiti 🇭🇹. With upscale, helpful and professional staff, it is indeed luxury at its best! There is no French façade here! Just pure loving Haitians and Creole all around. I cannot thank the staff enough. Ben, after getting off, was so kind to show us the bus station and informing us of times and schedules. I will never forget the kindness and helpfulness of the staff at Habitation Jouissaint. This is by far the best upscale hotel in Cap Haitian, and I can venture to say, in all of Haiti with a staff of elite professionals! Will definitely be seeing you all again!

This place is so nice. From the time you walk in so welcoming. The staff from check in to dinner is wonderful. Ben one of the staff members there was so helpful. We needed to do laundry they delivered everything right away and even pressed them. The bed is like sleeping on feathers. The food is so organic and delicious. I had the grilled snapper well seasoned like my grandma. If you need a place to feel the real Haiti this is it. Will definitely be back.

🫤 This hotel is ok but is also overpriced. The beds are very comfortable but they need to do a better job in cleaning the bathroom. The tile and tube were dirty. The food there is good but overpriced. I gave it a 2 stars because it wasn't clean and the the water in the pool was black. At one point t...
