Staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful. They were able to track down a blend that they had made for a fundraiser 2 years ago as a gift for my wife who had loved that coffee! Thanks for making my Christmas shopping that much easier and for helping me get some brownie points in the process!

Missed our morning coffee leaving Moncton because Google maps took us straight out of the city from where we were staying. What a happy accident because that meant I had one of the best coffees I've had in a long time at Down East Coffee Roasters! Friendly service and a great tasting Americano to go...Thank you!

I grind my own beans daily for manual espresso. I was looking for freshly roasted beans for optimum results. The roaster (employee) was unable to tell me when the beans had been roasted. There's no 'roast date' on the bags! Generally, this is the advantage of local roasters over other brands. Tell me the date, allow me to let it off-gas the appropriate number of days, package it in a C02 releasing bag, and give me consistency. I didn't get any of these choices. I tried three varieties, and each resulted in a poor end-product I would normally attribute to older, stale roasted beans. At $17-$19/pound and with these results, I cannot justify the drive and the cost for negligible results. Two stars, instead of one, due to their decaf bean having a relatively good taste profile, despite the above. UPDATE: Despite above, I've visited again and clearly asked for freshly roasted beans. I received a bag that was still warm! I waited 4-5 days before using, and they were much better than prior roasts. I really wish they stamped roasted date (OR expiry date 1 year after roasting) and let the customer decide.

Super nice people. Coffee is delicious, shipping is quick, and they always personalize the order with a little note or token.

Excellent coffee! Many to choose from. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about coffee. This is where I get good coffee for home brewing.

I love the ambience of this place with the woodwork and the yellow lighting. The moment you enter the Cafe it's the roasted coffee aroma that immediately engages you. And the Staff are really helpful. Loved the one time visit, will be going their more often. P.s. I love their coffee cup lids. Lol

Worth the drive for coffee but it’s not a cafe and more like a workplace where you can stop in and have a cup of wtv they brewed that day.

Terry has been building his business for decades. Quality coffee and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. This roaster location has 5 inside bar stools and they are working towards an outside patio. His son and daughter in law are now building the first of the 3rd generation of master roasters.

An incredible online shipping experience from here in Toronto. Their ability to provide customers with 1/2 pound bags to try is absolutely worth it. Customer service and quality of the beans rivals alot of the value you would get here in downtown Toronto. Shipping was also within the same week (ordered Thursday, received Monday/Tuesday despite quotes of CanPost shortages). Thoroughly enjoy their darker roasts as few roasters are bold enough to specialize in them. Their chocolate covered coffee beans are also a chocolatey crunchy delight. Can't recommend them enough!
