Love this park for good scenic picnics with the fam. Knocking a star off because Buford park rangers and gate employees can be moody depending on who you are. Take that for what it is. Overall, though, it's spacious and scenic!

Peaceful wooded area to absorb the quietness and stillness of Lake Lanier.

We enjoyed spending a morning at this great park on beautiful Lake Lanier. Lots of parking. Many areas with picnic tables and grills located under shady trees with water views. 1 large and 1 small pavillion available for rentals. Boat ramp with truck and trailer parking. Paved trails along street to walk with strollers. Nice playground and swimming area for the kids. Park was clean and had plenty of garbage cans.

This is my slice of paradise! You've got a few sandy beach areas to choose from. Sidewalks in a loop for a walk with a beautiful view. Playground for the kiddos and lots of grill and seating areas. Get the annual pass, it's well worth it and good at any core of engineer park!

Awesome place, except people don't know how to navigate the parking lot. I go there to do some kayaking and it's great. Water can get a little choppy, stick to the coves for easier paddling.

This is a great place and an easy trip for the family. Get here by 10:30 AM, especially during the weekends and summer, because it will get full and you’ll be turned away. $5 is all it cost for a car to enter. The sanded beach area may be small but there are tons of shade spots and picnic tables to make a home base.

This is another place that we as a family enjoy going to. The lake isn’t too crowded when we go unless it is a holiday such as Memorial Day. There are small trails, but the main reason we go is for get togethers for barbecues and swimming at the lake. There is a little playground for the kids as well as a great place for boating whether with a motor or not.

Lovely place to visit and much better without the noise pollution of the music being played. The people tidying up the rubbish had done a great job and deserve a medal having made such a difference. Thanks

Has a playground and a pavilion with a fireplace and a grill, there are smaller tables with grills surrounding this pavilion as well, it has beach access and overall a good place to spend your day, bathrooms are okay for a park, and there is a boat ramp and trailer parking. It can get crowded at times.

Great park, own private section of beach. Friendly hosts. We were at site 24 Steep slope to the beach only concern.

The park has beautiful views and public beaches. One thing they need to work on is the cleanliness of the restrooms during the weekend/ holidays making sure there’s toilet paper and the trash cans are emptied out few times throughout the day so that they don’t get over filled.

My absolute favorite place to go in the summer. We go almost every day after school/work. Clean, quiet and nice. The bathrooms are sometimes neglected/vandalized but the beach is wonderful

Love coming here! So nice to relax, hike around, grill, swim, fish, let kids play on the playground and swings.

A lovely park. My favorite park. This is the park I met my wife at. We've been together 6 years and I love her so, so much. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. She makes me happy every moment of every day. I'm so lucky I found my soul mate. And I'm so grateful to this park for introducing me to her.

Ok, so overall I had a great time here but I do have a couple critiques for the State or whoever maintains/manages this area: 1) is the garbage should be thrown out of the picnic areas 2) I believe there should be better markers/bouys out deep off the rocks that alert boaters about the presence of swimmers. There were boats running quite close and that would be horrific if a swimmer were to get run over or chopped in half by a propellor

This is an awesome park. Beautiful and peaceful area. Play at the playground, sit on the lawn or under the shelter at the picnic tables. Watch the yachts and jet skiers on the lake. Enjoy the fresh air. The beaches were closed though

What a big place, you will for sure find a spot even with a lot of people there. Good for fishing, swimming, using boats. Great place all-around.

Not sure if this is my favorite place to go for a day-use area. It was okay. The beach area was pretty clean. One lady decided to clean her grill grate in the water where everyone was swimming, that was a little gross. All in all we had a great day the next time I will be trying a different spot. I'll see how it compares to here
