If you, kids, or anyone in your group have “FOOD SENSITIVITIES”, don’t even bother trying to bring your own food or snacks. They will not let you bring anything in, no matter what or which higher up you talk to. You can only bring in sealed, unopened, or completely empty water bottles, NOTHING ELSE. Now To the review. Your typical water park and the atmosphere that comes along with it. The park has about 10 water slides, some of them require mats, tubes, and others you can go without anything. Everything is provided for the requirements to ride. The only requirement is that the rider is 48 inches or taller. Wave pool is about 6 ft deep. Bathrooms are pretty well kept up, so that’s worth a star in itself. If you’re a local, and are getting season passes, they are worth it for the summer break kids are usually on. Just remember, the little ones will eventually get hungry, and fries alone are close to $8, make it meal for $17. Remember, food sensitive or not, if you’re bringing your own food, you will take a minimum 10 minute walk to your car to go eat and quench your thirst. “Enjoy”

The place is mediocre at best. The price is high for what they offer. You can not access the beach at all unless you pay full price ($55 person and $39 per child) once inside there is limited areas with shade. You can rent an umbrella for $20 more. The food selection is very limited and if you have picky children you are just out of luck as they search your bag wires then Disney to stop any outside food and drinks from coming in they’re all about making every dime they can. The staff seems untrained in their jobs as everyone seems to do there own thing and not be familiar with any useful information. We came on a Saturday and then again on Sunday and had two different prices at the gate and two completely different experiences. Completely inconsistent. With lack of direction guest are left to there own accord to figure out everything as there is no staff to be found inside the parks for help. Unless your buys alcohol. In the parking lots people are driving around not paying attention, going the wrong way on one way streets and nearly hitting pedestrians. As there is no one out to do anything about it. Honestly not impressed with lack of staff and the few here limited knowledge and frequent changes to policy and prices.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!!!! I took 2, 9 year old girls to the water park. I saw on the website during the week the beach access fee was free, which was great since I can not ride anything due to getting motion sickness. We showed up and we’re told I had to pay $55 just to be able to enter the park with my 2 girls!!! I didn’t even have a bathing suit on as I knew I couldn’t do anything while there. The young boy at the ticket booth said yea they changed it this year everyone has to pay full price! I again said I don’t even have a suit and can not ride anything so I have to pay $55 to just walk Thru the door…… his response yes! As I had 2 girls with me I had no choice! I paid it…… it was not clearly stated on the website at all that this was the case and said beach access was free! We have had many disappointing experiences at the water park but this will be the last as we will not return. Also you may want to tell your life guards to get off their cell phones and pay attention!! One at the top of the slide just told the girls to just go as she was flirting with a boy not caring what was going on at the slide. When they didn’t understand what she said they asked her what in which she screamed at them I said GO and went back to flirting with the boy! Only to get to the bottom of the slide to be asked to why they went without being told!!!! I spent plenty of money today there with food, parking, ice cream, water etc I did not need to be charged to walk around with my children and not do anything! This is highly disappointing! It’s a shame to have this close to us but I just simply can not afford to pay $55 to walk around and watch my children! Employees are kids who could care a less!!!! Also being as it was very hot and you can not bring water in you would think more places other than 1 place would have water to sell!! And then they ran out!!! As I have said this is not the first time we had a bad experience but I just felt the need to let you know if you read this. Sorry but we won’t be back!!!

We had dinner at the restaurant. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon so we waited at the bar. Once we were seated, Mickalea took excellent care of us. We ordered grouper fingers and fried pickles for appetizers. It came very quickly and the apps were very good. The dinners consisted of Swiss mushroom burger and shrimp baskets. I am impressed at the speed of the service. The food was decent and the service was excellent. Now, getting to the restaurant is a bit tricky. If you are stating on-site, it’s easier to get there but you will park a long long way away.

They updated their pricing to absolutely rob families that choose to go here. $40 to get in and park then depending on where you park either $20 to enjoy a tiny bit of the beach and the land shark restaurant or $55 to be able to access the whole thing. Place is a complete rip off. Also got our bags searched as my 7 month pregnant wife was told we couldn’t bring in any of the food we had packed. DO NOT GO!!

I wonder what a fantastic business decision would be for the park? Let’s close access to the lake and fence off the water right at the beach! That way when it’s 100 degrees out, everyone can bake and not have the ability to cool off in the lake. Idiots! I won’t spend another penny in there. Plus they raised prices again.

Please read. Save your money. Save your time. So we went to snow island and weren't happy about finding out there that our daughter was too short to ride the snow tubing. A better job on their website would have saved us a trip. So my wife decided to take my daughter to the snow area and I would take a couple of trips tubing. Get to the top and there is one lane open, 40 plus people in line and each person is taking 1:10. I ask a worker if they plan on opening more lanes and she says they hope within a couple of hours to have at least two lanes. Needless to say I didn't ride and I went to join my daughter and wife only to find the snow area is really just packed ice. I cannot express how disappointed we were. No value in this venue. We paid $164 and sat in dirty packed ice and rode two rides that my daughter was able to. The only magic was my money going to them for providing me almost nothing of value. There really should be a negative star option.

This is for margaritaville's lakeside lights spectacular. It was horrible! I was looking for a place to see the holiday lights in Metro Atlanta and remembered fondly, driving through Lake Lanier Islands to look at the lights. I searched and there isn't a drive through light show anymore. However there was a listing for Margaritaville which seems to be a successor event. An incredibly poor successor it turns out. I seem to remember paying something like $30 per vehicle before. Now it's $20 to just get into the area then it's $20 per person to see the lights. So for just two people you're out $60 to just see the lights. We drove up after work and made the mistake of eating in the park. Two people had grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with chips and water and it was $30. So add in tax and we're at $100 to walk around in the cold to see the lights. Which may have been a lesser stunt of the lights hadn't been so incredibly underwhelming. We paid more to see less AND be cold doing it. My neighborhood has a better light show and I live in a fairly poor neighborhood. Do not waste your money here.

Went to see the Christmas lights, now called the “Lakeside Light Spectacular.” It was definitely not spectacular. This experience is only worth 25% of what is being charged for admission. And you also have to pay $20 just to get in to the resort. It’s really just a short path around a portion of the lake with some lighted displays. It is significantly less lights then what they used to have. We have come in the past when it used to be the drive thru experience. That was 100x better then this, with MUCH bigger and better displays. Another problem with the new display is that there is a huge TV that is super bright projecting advertisements over the area that really takes away from it all….it is so bright it almost lights it up like daytime. Honestly if you just pay to get into the resort you can see most of these lights from the road and save yourself the money. Overall I am sad to say I won’t be doing this again. I hope they bring back the old lights and drive thru experience. I promise if you decide to visit, you will be disappointed with how much you pay to see this “spectacular”.

I’m a fan of Margaritaville at Lake Lanier over the summer completely. However, their Lakeside Lights over the winter was expensive and disappointing. Parking was $20, tickets to just walk through and see their eh display was $26, or you could purchase the all access pass for $60. (for ONE person). The light walk through ticket was $20, but for some reason the processing fee was a whopping $6. I think that’s ridiculous personally? The All-Access pass included access to some small carnival rides and some extra stuff, but in my opinion $60 was a bit much. The lights were basically a 5 minute walk through, you got to walk through 4 kinda disappointing light arches and then walk a bit more and see a couple of light up presents. I just think for that price it could’ve been a bit more. It was super nice for kids to come though. Every family I saw seemed to enjoy it, but it just could’ve been more.

I am writing this review in context of the Christmas experience, not the summer offerings. Fourth year attending but this year is our last. The first year was outstanding and so much fun. Each year since it has gotten less in terms of offerings and experience. The walk-through lights seem to diminish each year (first year they had it all the way back to the waterpark playground, including a show and fire pits). This year they have added a processing fee on the tickets! $21 for four of us in junk fees and you HAVE to buy them online. They wouldn't let us buy in person, so you couldn't avoid those junk fees! The carnival offerings are bare bones and the staff could care less about being there. Santa meet and greet is no longer offered (kids loved that!). The snow play area is barely full. All in all we dropped over $200 tonight with little to show for it. The Christmas magic is gone from here. Unfortunately we will not be returning again. Maybe this has just become a stop gap in profit to keep the business afloat during the non-summer period. I hope not, but it sure feels that way.

We've done Snow Island in the past, and have attended on much busier evenings. Despite it not being super busy this evening, the wait time in various lines was awful. The ticket line? Awful! Only one person working that line initially. Even with a 2nd person it was still way too slow of a process. The line at the top of the snow tube hill! Awful! They only had 2 of the 4 tubing lanes in use. I've been here when's there's been 2 or 3 times more people and spent less time in line to snow tube than this evening. Wait time to get food or a drink? Awful! Again it wasn't the amount of customers, it was just slow workers, not enough workers, and/or inefficiency. The lines for the carnival rides were actually not an issue at all... this is because the overall crowd size tonight was low. They just opened for the Winter season last weekend, so hopefully it's just them working out the kinks and dusting out the old mental spider webs. Thankfully we paid for Winter season passes at a discount rate a couple weeks ago. My disappointment level would be a lot higher had we paid single use rates. We will give it a try again next weekend, hopefully it will be a better experience. Oh, when we used to drive through the park to see all the lights... it was a nice experience. Now, you pay to walk to see a lot less lights. Plus a section of the walk is a pretty steep uphill climb. I'm sure those with little ones, strollers, senior citizens, wheelchairs, etc. aren't thrilled with that.

The website is horrible. I tried to order tickets online and couldn't. When I called to try and order over the phone, I was told she could not process over the phone. Horrible customer service. We are planning our visit and were told we would not have any trouble getting tickets at the gate for the Christmas event. I guess we will see. Continued review, event was mediocre for the money. The kids had fun with the rides, but the lights are not even close to being as good as the drive through lights before. Plus, it is super pricey for what you get, or rather don't get. Don't waste your time or money.

Pay $20 just to get on the island, and then another $20 per person for a walk with a lot less lights than a drive through experience. Part of the walk is a steep uphill climb, people in wheelchairs couldn’t get up it, sure that was the case with strollers, and others with physical ailments. Not worth the $$ for this “show”. Would have seen better lights driving through neighborhoods and save the $$.

We love it here! We bought License to Chill Winter passes and just have the best time. The tubing and ice skating are wonderful, they play Christmas music throughout, have bonfires to make s’mores and warm yourself up, a snow area to have snowball fights and different carnival food trucks. The carnival rides are safe and fun and the staff members are so friendly. The concession food is good and reasonably priced. It’s just magical. Everything you want at Christmas. I highly recommend going. You will make cherished memories.

Pitiful what they have done this year at this establishment. My brother is a season pass holder his children are older and enjoy full use of the amenities so it’s worth the expense for him however I have two younger little ones who simply just enjoy sitting on the sand, “swimming” near the shore, and spotting fishies so we typically just buy a day pass to the beach whenever we are able to meet up with them to hang. This year they have sectioned off the largest part of the beach and closed off access to anyone who doesn’t have a season pass. The tiny small section of the beach they did leave is by where all the boats dock- loud, crowded and uncomfortable with barely enough space for anyone to have decent distance from others or the ability to even enjoy a fun activity on the sand. Truly awful. Worst part is they don’t disclose this information of changes when purchasing the tickets so this weekend I waddled my 37 week pregnant self with my two little ones down the steep steps to land shark, made a ridiculously long line to purchase access and proceeded to walk past the restaurant to meet up with my brother and his family at the beach near the volleyball area as we do every year to my surprise was denied access just past land shark area bathrooms (which were disgusting by the way because it’s the only accessible bathroom in that area now that people can’t access the bathrooms further down the beach). I ultimately decided to request a refund and go home. My kids were heart broken- cried all the way home but I just couldn’t bring myself to imposing those terrible conditions on my brother and his family by requesting they come sit on such a terribly crowed section of the beach just because. Sure I could have paid an additional $35+ per person on top of the entrance fee I had already paid but it just felt so wrong to pay such an obscene amount of money when my kids would not be using anything other than just the beach. Highway robbery for sure. Anyhow, lost $20 gate entrance, gas money and time but will certainly never be returning or recommending this place ever again under these new policies.

Very laid back but fun park. It wasn't busy and the lines were not long at all. Very safe place to bring your children. Didn't see any fights or hear any gun shots which is something you will hear at white water and six flags. If you want to go to a nice, fun, safe place to enjoy your time with family, I would visit Lake Lanier Islands Water Park. They have a beach, huge wave pool, lots of slides and big huge screen tvs with actual music playing that everyone loves to sing along to. I wish I could visit more often but unfortunately it's a bit of a drive. Well worth it though!

We use to enjoy coming here, but this year was different. We paid an entry fee at the gate and then another fee, per person, to enter margaritaville. We were disappointed to see that half of the beach and amenities weren’t even open. Then we ate at the restaurant and it took FOREVER. The hostess was good, but our waitress disappeared for half hours at a time.. It wasn’t even busy, and yet she had different excuses each time she came back. For the fees just to get in, you’d at least anticipate decent service or amenities… Both lacked. We won’t be coming back.

Tourist trap. The service is unremarkable. The food is mediocre. We had wings, a burger (which was missing the signature ingredient) french fries, and nachos. Portions were good but none of it was worth the price. When you come you are obviously paying for atmosphere. Don’t come if you’re not on island time… it’s a long wait for minimal enjoyment.

The place is beautiful. Coves are beautiful. Water park and golf course iwas over priced. If you just want to camp and chill by the lake then it's good. Don't rent a golf cart, they are overpriced you can drive you vehicle everywhere you need to get to. Water park was 40 per person golf was 115, nice course but not worth 115. Definitely a scenic place to camp tho. Bath houses were nice enough, lots of space between campsites. Cabins were good size for a family of 5.

Liked the experience of going to this place. We got the passes from work but we believe they are a little pricey for what we did. We took our daughter and she had fun at the parakeet water place. I liked a girl safe guard that was actually doing her job using her whistle to let the visitors know that they should not go down a slide standing up and that they should only go one way. We went August 3 from around noon to 2 pm. The sun got to my wife and we had to leave. The lake beach was somewhat small and the sand feels very compact by the edge of the water. We had some of the ice cream they sell and it was tasty but some what pricey Oh and you cannot take coolers and opened food. We had some waters and some drinks on bottles and we were good. They open at 11am and close at 7pm. There is also a gift store but we did not stop by but from outside it looked nice. They also provide life vests for the kids if they need any. If you stay the full day the price of the tickets are worth it but if you stay for a few hours I would not recommend it. Nonetheless a nice place to visit.

We visited for the snow attractions since Stone Mountain isn't doing their snow stuff this year. This is our first time visiting. Cons: We went and spent almost $350 for 2 adults and 2 children to enter, then another $20 for a "resort fee" to enter. We won't be back at these prices, it wasn't worth it. I don't exactly remember how much per person the food was, but we also spent another $100 on 2 chicken finger baskets meals and 2 chicken filly meals We asked the staff if we could exit the park and come back without being charged a resort fee again. We got blank stares and told they didn't know since it's a different company at the front entrance (??) I also called before we drove 2 hours to ask if they shut down the park due to rain and the staff member didn't know 😑 The light show was an extra charge and was underwhelming. It was drizzling today, so most of the rides were also shut down. We did the blizzard mountain, and a few employees(teens) were on the phone the whole time, if there was an emergency or issue, they wouldn't have noticed. The wave pool snow area is icy, slippery. There isn't much they can do about it since it's artificial snow, but there are no employees monitoring for safety either. We watched several people falling on the wave pool concrete. Pros: The kids enjoyed blizzard mountain and the wave pool snow area. The wave pool area had snow ball making toys which made snow ball fights fun. The few rides they did get to ride seemed to let them ride for extended time, not just a quick 60 seconds.

We had so much fun sledding (we're middle aged adults 😆) and making smores by the fire. We did t ride any of the rides, most were for little ones but the tour of lights looked absolutely beautiful after dark. Can't wait to visit the beach in the summer!

Over priced, failed roadway engineering, steep grades, poor hook up locations. $86 for 5 cocktails (they don't list prices on menu). BUT It's part Safe Harbor corporation. By design they maximize revenue dollars by undermining Americans with there foreign investors. Make way small family owned business as they will run you over with total disregard, damaging local economics to pump up their bottom line. Don't get caught up with Safe Harbor as they will hemorrhage your hard earned dollars at any capacity.

Very nice campground! Bath house was clean but no AC. Loved seeing all the wild life walking around. My only complaint is the land shark bar and grill not allowing orders to go. This made everything VERY inconvenient! Our bags were searched when entering the beach. We were made to take a bag of chips back to the car (not a very short distance). Then to find out we could not order any food. The restaurant at the time had a wait list to be seated, which made it inconvenient when you have kids swimming in the lake. I would also recommend somewhere to wash your feet off when exiting the beach. Also, the life guards were inconsistent…one day a water slide is available to the beach side and the next day it’s not, without any explanation. Otherwise, we had a great experience!

Myself & a large group of family members decided to take a holiday adventure with the kids to Snow Island & I must say we all were highly disappointed. After driving 3 hours & spending a ridiculous amount of money on tickets; upon arrival we were all excited to enjoy the "Snow" & baffled by how little there was. The advertisement for Snow Island is very misleading. The small ice skating ring was under a circus tent & may accommodate 10 kids comfortably. Snow Ball Alley was literally a small mound of ice with very little snow to make Snow balls. There may have been 5-8 small carnival rides with only about 4 operating. Like many other reviews, the food was over priced & disgusting. Snow Mountain was decent, but be prepared to walk a flights of stairs & wait at least 30 minutes to go down the 5 lane hill. As I'm writing this review I wish I would have read other reviews before wasting our time & money on this roadside carnival. Take heed & visit elsewhere.

This place is old and a bit dumpy. We did have fun, but it is just so old. The money they could make if they invested more into the park. It was raining when we were there (no thunderstorms) but they still closed the park. Rain and water slides should be ok, but clearly not.

Lightshow was nice but this was one of the worst ticket buying experiences I’ve ever had. You have to purchase online, you have to create an account (can’t sign up as a guest), you have to sign a waiver for each guest.

We went for the licence to Chill Snow Island attraction for the day. At first with the ticket prices I was hoping I'd get my money's worth (54.99 per ticket plus the fees online 🙄). But once we got there my kids were soooo happy and ready to get on everything. The snow Tubing was the main reason we came. Not many places in the south to do that type of activity. Snow tubing was a HIT. It was soooo fun and fast. We rode at least 5 times back to back. They have a snow ball area and kids loved it. We also went ice skating so fun, smaller rink though but still fun. Glad they have to ice gliders for younger kids. We rode all the rides they had. My kids rode them multiple times!! So glad it wasn't super crowded. This was the perfect family outing. My kids definitely had a blast. They had food as well, overpriced but it's expected and also had an adult beverage station. Something for everyone. Parking was an extra $20. I definitely recommend. After non stop playing for 6 hours it was worth it.

$20 for parking, $25 per person tickets & the lights took about 5 minutes to walk through. We were so disappointed. There was no Santa's village or other holiday attractions. It was raining so all of the rides were shut down. Would not recommend.

We had an amazing time at RV resort and water park : Tiki Hut was exciting and the service by Nicole & Justin was excellent. Great drinks and great memories! The holiday lights experience isn't worth the price. They are nice, but $20 for parking and $20/person for the walk through, is significantly more than the value.

  • 3/5 Elizabeth W. 8 months ago on Google
We were disappointed in the park amenities. The only option for cooling off in a pool was limited to the wave pool that was only open twice during the week. For as much money as you pay for the RV sites you expect more amenities to be available during the week. There's a sign that says more amenities are coming in 2024 but that doesn't help now. We had no idea that the water park wasn't open during the week either.

The staff are truly hit or miss there. Some are very kinda and respectful, some not so much. We are local and have season park pass holder. We go every weekend, sometimes more often. Last week we had someone steal from our bag absolutely get lockers Everything at the park is very clean.

We had a wonderful time here with our kids. It was a really fun vibe at the waterpark with the music and videos playing at the park. Our only bad experience was with the food we prepaid for. Don't bother doing the prepaid meals--it isn't that great of a deal and it locks you in to getting food at one of two places where the equipment was broken and the employees were just standing around talking and not taking orders. Other than that, we had a really great time!

  • 3/5 Robby S. 10 months ago on Google
I mean you know what you're getting it's Margaritaville, hit or miss with food and service. Now's the time to go shouldn't be that busy now that they have closed off the lake access and people aren't coming around. With that being said even though I don't agree with that I can see why they did it. The family still enjoys the water rides and we never even got in the lake anyways. Give it a shot and you may enjoy it.

My family is having the best time this summer! Season passes are affordable and you can pay for them over a period of three months. We have also enjoyed the food and frozen treats!

  • 5/5 Sarah L. 10 months ago on Google
We have enjoyed our week stay here in our RV. Our lake view location was absolutely perfect. Staff at the rv park was kind and helpful. There is a golf cart that drives around with adult beverages they can custom make for you or order off the menu. It is very convenient and fun. The park itself was a little hard to find once you got here, and we were not the only ones who had that issue. The water park was fun, though it would be a bit more inviting if the people who worked there were nicer.

  • 3/5 Janice C. 10 months ago on Google
First let me say it's beautiful here...but the lack of correct signs for parking and access to Land Shark are missing. The wave pool is a limited seating area, even the picnic tables had "hold" stuff on them. More seating is DEFINITELY needed and should be made permanent. Especially the lounge chairs, more shaded areas would add a little more space for people waiting for their families on the water rides. The lack of drinking water is a bit concerning, maybe a water hut would be welcomed.

We drove two and a half hours to go to the snow island park. The ice rink needed grooming and we were only able to ride the tubing slope twice in six hours. We feel like we wasted our day and money coming here as we barely did anything and spent over $300 for our family of 5

Beware! Snow Island will close if it’s too cold. No refund, No nothing. They just take the money and run. It’s a beautiful 20 degree weather day, bright sunshine, and they close the snow attraction. We have chose this as our family event for the past 3 years, sadly this will be the last year.

I really wanted to go on a full moon cruise, called to make a reservation, sat on hold for 10 minutes, spoke to someone who put me on hold to tell me there were seats available to book online. So no booking by phone. Tried to reserve online and the full moon cruise wasn't an option and the regular dinner cruise was $20 more pp than was advertised on the web site. For a place that advertised as that laid back, no worries atmosphere it's the opposite.
