The lake is beautiful. The lodge is loud and noisy. You hear everything in your room. Kids, dogs etc. If you plan on sleeping in, don't. The front desk will tell you there's a wait list for golf carts. There's not. Go talk to George at the golf cart, he's wonderful! He needs a raise! The valet are all very nice, especially Noah. The manager at the front desk when we were checking out was very nice and I wish we could have interacted with her during our stay. The other front desk staff needs to be retrained on how to properly handle hotel issues and guest needs. The restaurants all close way too early, 9 or 10 pm on a holiday weekend? Seriously? However, the twin waiters in Sidney's were amazing! But the manager of the restaurant is questionable. They made the decision to turn off the AC during dinner service on July 1st (it was 90+ degrees outside). We walked in and we were sweating by the time we were seated. I brought it up to the hostess (who was also great) and it was remedied. But I was told by a person that the manager turned it off because water leaked on electronics. That's ridiculous. Guests have to be hot and uncomfortable at 60 dollars a plate? Not great! If ou're looking for food late night, go head over to Mall of Georgia area (20 minutes away) plenty of amazing restaurants over there! TLDR? If you have a family and want to bring your kids, it's probably nice but if you're single or a young couple go look for something else.

This lodge is really nice. Check-in was easy and quick. The staff was very nice and helpful. Requested extra towels and washcloths and staff delivered them within 10 min. Room was very clean and spacious. The mattress was too firm and one half was very squeaky. The biggest problem was the air conditioning unit faces directly at the bed. Had to put furniture in front of it so it didn't blow directly on us. Overall would recommend again.

Stayed in the Cabins on the Lake and had to be moved twice due to the huge roaches in the cabins. After the final move we noticed a sign on the patio door basically stating that bugs in the rooms are a part of the ambience of being in a “nature” setting and to keep the doors and windows closed tight to prevent these intruders. I do admit that my children and I do have an irrational fear of bugs so this might not bother a lot of people but it made it hard for us to sleep at night and we were constantly shaking out our clothes and checking our bags so not to bring any unwanted visitors home with us.

Lovely surroundings ~ very peaceful and relaxing. We chose to rent a golf cart (pretty expensive @ $50 an hour) but it was the best way to see the grounds. We had a great time there...Nikki at Bullfrog Restaurant was terrific! My only disappointment was at check in. I was handed a key and that's about it. I had to call the front desk more than once to ask general questions that should have been explained at check in. Spending $ 350 a night should at least come with an explanation of all the resort offers and there was no initiative from the front desk to assist guests in this manner.

Pros: The lodge is impressive looking from the entrance. The foyer is very nice. It looks like a regal lodge from the second you walk in. Check in was smooth. Cons: The carpeted halls are worn and dated. The food is below average. EVERYTHING is an extra cost and highly priced. My biggest complaint is the front desk clerk, Kevin. Condescending, rude, talks down to customers, argumentative, and acts as though he is better than those he is serving. We were having a great time until we encountered Kevin. Because of that AWFUL experience I will NEVER be back. We were going to return with our children for a weekend of fun, but I will NOT spend $1,000-$2,000 for a weekend to deal with Kevin.

It’s a nice hotel, but there some things that need updating. The room itself was nice, but it was a little outdated in terms of decor and the bathroom was also small. Also, it would have been nice to have an in room safe instead of having to ask for one. The windows could also be a little bigger or there needs to be a little more lights, as the room could get a little dark. Other than that the room was very nice. The staff were very friendly, and the elevators were a little slow, but that was not a problem. However, it would’ve been nice if the hotel required key card access on the elevator an to get into the building from any side or back entrance. Overall, I would probably give this place another chance.

We took a quick trip up to Legacy Lodge over the 4th of July, and it is a great getaways spot. We have gone a few times now, and unfortunately the rooms continue to disappoint. Last trip, we had an insect problem which required maintenance to treat the room while we were there. This past trip, the in-room A/C unit wasn't effective in climatizing the room. It was humid and dank, despite keeping the unit running almost full-time. Additionally, the bedside lamp wasn't working, and the charging port was dislodged from the lamp base. Most frustrating, however, was my recent experience after check-out. I realized within an hour or so of checking out that I had left a fairly expensive jacket hanging in the closet. I called and left a voicemail with housekeeping by 3pm on the day of checkout. With no response 2 days later, I called back, and the staff seemed to have never heard the message (the mailbox was also not available any more), and was never able to locate the jacket. No thought or offer of checking with staff or the hallway security cameras... A day later, they suggested I file a claim with security, but after calling the number a few times, the mobile number they gave me is not able to reach whomever in security to actually file the claim. I'm very disappointed in what feels like an overall lack of concern and action by the hotel staff. While I could have overlooked the room situation(s), this experience has told me enough about their concern for guests that I will likely never return.

Spent 4 days at this beautiful Lodge. I have been recovering from surgery of a broken fibula and am in a walking boot and moving slowly. The staff went above and beyond to always make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Even to the extent of fixing my plate at the breakfast buffet so I could sit and get off of my foot. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed the fire pit by the pool in the evenings. Highly recommend staying here

My family and I were here before and we liked it, so for this Memorial Day weekend we decided to come back, I went online and I was really excited because there was a “20 % off for early reservation “ I obviously went ahead and booked 3 nights for us to stay. Everything was great until we ate breakfast and were surprised with a bill after, cause “we didn’t have breakfast included this time” which didn’t happen when we were here before. So I just realized that the “20% early booking discount “was just a lie cause they were going to charge us for breakfast this time. Extremely disappointed and definitely not coming back.

The rooms were great but maybe a bit small. I guess it depends on what you get. The staff was great and friendly. There are plenty of places to eat on site and the outdoor pool is warm. The only thing I would say is wrong is they need to upgrade their toilet paper.

Great property for the whole family (dog included)! Rooms are clean and just what you need, they are very pet friendly as well. We took an amazing hike around a large section of the lake, we went to Snow Island at Margaritaville, enjoyed the amenities at the lodge and it was amazing! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Beautiful views overlooking the lake. Scenic drive to venue. Front desk and service staff are very kind and amiable. Rooms very neat orderly and are more elegant than your standard hotels.

So we just had a girls weekend and of course we are going to have a good time no matter what. The staff were 10 star as well! I would like to make a few suggestions though. 1) Please cut some trees back so you actually have a view of the lake. It’s a ‘lake lodge’ and no view of the lake. 2) Get better mattresses for your guests. It was Hard as a board and I had major back pain throughout each night and I don’t have back problems. Terrible sleep while staying due to this. 3) Rooms get either too hot /muggy or too cold with no ceiling fan to circulate the air in the room. Had a difficult time having a nice comfortable temp for our 3 day stay. Maybe install some ceiling fans at least. I will still stay here again as lake Lanier has very sentimental reasons as to why like it here but major renovations are needed in the guest suites. And for nearly $900 for 2 nights I expected more comfort in my room and a lake view at least.

This was a nice getaway! Will, the valet/hotel chauffeur was so awesome! He really went out of his way to make sure our transportation needs were met! Thanks Will! My dad and I were impressed with your service and enjoyed our time at the lodge!

Incredibly unhappy with this resort thus far. It isn't any one person. It seems to be more of a structural issue. I have called the resort maybe 40 times over the course of 3 days and I cannot get anyone on the phone. Worse than that, there doesn't seem to be a functioning voicemail system. Maybe it is just me, but I expect more from a place that charges what they do. They charge high prices but fail to deliver on customer service. Incredibly dissatisfied. Taking my business elsewhere as I shouldn't have to beg you to take my money.

Can't say enough about our stay at Legacy Lodge. My family had such a good time! Incredible service throughout our 3 night stay. Place is beautiful. Highly recommend staying at the Villas! Can't wait to go back next year with friends. 10/10

I loved the location and the overall look of the lodge itself. The rooms were nice, but they do need to be updated. They have some nice fire pits. They were very comfortable sitting around at night. That was very nice. The room walls definitely need to be thicker. I could hear everything going on in the next room...

It already takes a lot to go here because we all know the lake is haunted. But they make NOTHING EASY. You want to go to the winter wonderland and need an extra 65 dollar ticket go on line and take 30 mins out of your day to complete the purchase which was new this year. Even Santa was down graded this year. Last year he had his own room it felt lux this yr they stuck him in a cheesy corner. Then we rented a lake house and had to order Uber eats well surprise it will be the most inconvenient headache to feed your family. You think the gaurd would help -NO. The hotel would help-NO. Just horrible. Even the breakfast buffet greasy nasty. Just horrible don't go save your money go up to North Carolina instead. That's my honest opinion.

We had a wonderful trip here! We came for a wedding, which was a great time, and decided to stay an extra night and so glad we did! Maria who valeted us to and from the resorts other areas was AWESOME! She always had a positive demeanor and made our trip that much more special! Alex at the game changer bar was also great. Can’t say enough nice things about the service. We will be back!

Super comfy rooms! Beautiful room view from the balcony of the lake and pool with a fire place. Lodge entrance beautifully decorated with warm fire and a huge living room setting. Very accommodating concierge staff, helpful with adjusting my reservation. Tiffany and Lindsey at the front desk care very much about their guests. Helpful complimentary valet service.

I was at the location for a conference last week and my credit card was hacked after using it in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was the only time I used my credit card. The credit card company verified this information. I had 3 unauthorized charges on my card all coming from the hotel. One was for 952.00, 96.87, and 87.91. I called the hotel yesterday to speak with a manager and I was put on hold and then the call was disconnected. Beware when using your card at Lanie Islands Legacy Lodge.

Perfect staycation… The lake houses are fantastic, clean, & spacious. family fun package came with room, 4 water park passes per day, $50 game card, breakfast each day, & a golf cart to get around the island.

Location and service are 5 stars all the way. My only reason for a 4 star is what I would consider the age of the resort's rooms. It's noticeable in certain portions. I was first in a room on the third (main) floor that I turned on the AC and after running for 10 minutes it sounded like a car engine. I asked to switch at the front desk and my request was accommodated. Other signs of age are present in the wear and tear on the ironing sets and in the bathrooms. Overall though a pleasant place to stay at and very accommodating for business groups!

There was absolutely no activities to do on the resort. Riding the golf cart was the height of the trip. Water park was closed. There is no concierge on the resort to help guide you. Front desk are not helpful in guiding you. Housekeeping never come and when you finally request they come they just make the bed and put new towels. Dishes are left in the sink. Trash not taken out. Table not wiped down. Only two restaurants on the entire resort. Pool is ok. There is no jacuzzi.

Staff was extremely helpful to us. We decorated an event here. It reminds me of Animal Kingdom resort at Disney World, very beautiful resort. Dark wood, noidy, clean, and friendly staff.

A wonderful lake and view. The hotel staff is very much 6 star! The standard rooms are suitable with a large minibar fridge. The in room TV is up to date with great streaming services. AAN easy access to the HDMI if you bring your own devices! The Wi-Fi was very fast.

The stay was great, and it was very convenient to have such a nice restaurant (Sydney's) in the facility. We were here for a conference, but they can accommodate outdoor weddings on the lakefront too.

In December I was attending a business training event of our real estate brokerage (Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty) at the Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The lodge's location right on the lakefront provided a stunning backdrop for both work and relaxation, and the luxury amenities made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the morning run along the lake with no traffic. The peaceful setting and fresh air were truly invigorating, and set a positive tone for the rest of the day. I can only imagine how amazing the lodge would be during the summer months, with even more opportunities to enjoy the lake and other outdoor activities. I would highly recommend the Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge for anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. The beautiful setting, top-notch amenities, and friendly staff - you will not be disappointed!

It is an excellent place to spend your days off. The food is without a doubt the best. I will only make an observation the exterior and pool area should be renovated and change the brown color of the exterior

I enjoyed this lodge very much. It is an older lodge but that helps with the charm. The area is amazing and beautiful. The service is awesome. There are two restaurants and the servers are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. They make the visit better because when you are at a place like this, you want to relax and they cater to your every need. The staff at the desk and the pool are great also. The room is great, comfortable, modern and very clean. All the services you need to relax, I was on the bottom floor and could walk out my door to a hiking trail and was right on the lake. I couldn’t think of a single negative to report.

Visited this last weekend with large group from 8/14 to 8/17; room 116. It was relaxing and staff very pleasant. The food & service during our evening meetings was fabulous. Tell them I said thank you!! Check-in was quick and easy. One slight mishap; 30 min. after arriving to my room I heard a few housekeeping staff talking outside the door. I happen to be sitting on the bed watching TV; one of your male staff members just walked in without knocking. As soon as he saw me he didn’t say anything turned around then walked right back out the door. If I was a female and naked they probably would have been freaked out. Please make certain they knock before entering a guest room. Ty!!

A gorgeous venue. My cousin got married there. The views were a showcase of nature. It is what I would imagine Heaven was like. They had just begun decorating for the holidays and half done, it was still so awesome.

We stayed in one of the lake houses and we were SUPER impressed with the cleanliness and comfort that we had while we were there. We had 10 people and we fit perfectly. The sofa bed pulls out and is a huge sleeping area. The mattresses are so comfortable and the bedding is high quality. We loved how quiet and serene it was as we sat out on the deck. We were facing the boat dock and I was worried that it might be noisy, but it wasn't at all. We took our kids to the Game Changer and had an absolute blast!! There was something to do for everyone! The prizes were so great too. We didn't eat there but are told that they have great food. We will definitely be back!! Way to go!!!

An amazing experience with excellent customer service. All of the staff was very accommodating for all of our needs. From the servers in the Sidney diner, a much appreciated and exceptional service. This place goes over and beyond expectations. A must stay and experience place.

A completely unexpected amazing experience! We unfortunately only stayed one night after taking our kids to the nearby snow event, but this lodge felt like we were in the movie White Christmas. They had gorgeous holiday decorations, we walked past 7 deer and had a balcony overlooking the beautiful lake. Because of the holidays, they had craft events for the kids and the “elves” were so kind and fun and there was foosball and billiards in the game area. The restaurant had amazing food and it just all left us wishing we had more time to stay. We will quickly look for an opportunity to return!

Imagine staying for $252 w/ $50 on hold for incidentals: 1 male. You bring your own soap, toothbrush and paste, use one towel, & don't touch a single add-on. You later get charged 26.75. ABSURD‼️ You then nicely call the front desk, they say someone from the business office will email you about it. They have my email and phone: never an attempt to explain themselves. You are at their mercy‼️
