Arrived Oct 4. Requested ADA room for my 97yo mom. Arrived with nothing available. Called the week before to make sure the pool was still open. I was assured it was. Closed when we got there. Did not see anywhere on the site it was under construction. Breakfast was included with room charge. No breakfast available as the ovens were broken for 3 days.

The rooms are basic. The bathroom was upgraded and nice. This place was under heavy construction. I'm surprised they were open. The floors were being replaced and painting was being done. Everything was covered in plastic. My only complaint was the doors were loud and slammed. Big gap in the bottom of my door. We heard all the hallway noise. Breakfast was okay.

This hotel was a joke. The hotel is still under construction the front lobby isn’t even set up. We arrived for work and there was 4 rooms reserved. The customer service person gave us a key to someone else’s room we opened the door to find someone already occupied the room SCARY invasion or privacy and the risk of theft was first red flag. We went to our room and there was heater in there they must have left. Then room service knocks looking to see if we have furniture in our room. Then the next day women comes banging again for the blue heater they left while I’m in the room trying to work. They knock constantly, the rooms are barely set up and the hotel lobby is a job site. The staff was fire rent everyday not one same face and the women at front desk had an attitude and the phone in the room also didn’t work when trying to make a call to front desk I had to use my cell phone. I’d say don’t leave anything in ur room incase someone gets a key to your already occupied room! Also be prepared for house keeping to be knocking by 7/8am thankfully it was a short stay but I’d say they should get set up before they keep alllowing guest in w rooms not ready and untrained or prepared staff!

The room was nice and clean, but it's sad that one irresponsible employee can have me doubting whether or not I will ever go back to this hotel. We stood in the lobby with no-one around for 23 minutes. By the time he returned, there were 3 people waiting to check in! Very bad! If we hadn't prepaid for the room, we would have left. The clerk finally showed up and said that he was in the bathroom, then got snippy when I questioned him on it.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with hospitality and customer service, I booked a one night stay for my daughter’s 5th birthday. Called and emailed multiple times days before my arrival to make sure my room was booked and will be ready for my arrival at 3am after a over 8 1/2 hour car drive I was reassured multiple times my room would be available for me on Saturday at 3am when I arrive. Well, I arrive and my booking took over an hour to “locate” (was never located) and when I was finally given my room key I asked again that i booked a room with two double beds and to make sure I will get the same room after having to rebook me in the system as a walk in guest. I was again reassured my room had two double beds only to walk into and see only one bed. Horrible horrible horrible upkeep on employees and their capability of working their system and hospitality manners.

I had to get a room for my son and wife and 8 month old granddaughter, because my AC went out. They check in and all night they were moving furniture up and down the hallway, having no consideration for the people there trying to sleep, so my son finally got up and left and went home 2 and 1/2 hours away. I was charged $298.00. And they didn’t stay no longer then 5 hours what a waste of money.

My room backed up to a fast food restaurant with a dumpster that seemed like it was under my window when at 3am it was dumped. The room door to the hallway had so much space between the door and frame light shown through, and I could hear tvs and conversations of those in rooms close by. And the reason I've put pen to paper and write this review....when I checked out very early in the morning I asked the lady at the front desk to email my receipt, she simply 'dismissed' me let an elementary school teacher. The email never came, I had to call back, very poor service.

Premium rates while remodeling? Not enough parking spaces available for guests due to construction containers. Lobby torn up. Room may have been updated but really not so great. Really noisy window AC, uncomfortable bed. This might be a two-star def not 3. I’m glad this is just for one night. Disappointed.

Very nice. Everything was the way it was supposed to be. Nice pool, clean and comfortable beds, nice breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. The shower head was great as well! Thank you

Front desk was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. 300$ a night though, I can't justify spending that much money ever on a hotel, it was a last minute thing and didn't get the reservation right the first time, so had to make the splurge.. Especially when you're only reason to be there is sleep and shower. High price for a commodity. For that price I could have stayed at the hotel or villas even at the islands. And there's no balcony or view.. plus they are remodeling, so pool was closed which is why we picked there in first place.. oh well, win some you loose some.. but overall it was clean and comfortable. Recommend if you have the money for sure

At the time I booked my reservation, I reserved the room for two nights. Supposedly I only had one night booked saying on their end, but my confirmation emails said two nights ALWAYS. Very inconvenient considering no one told me about that, they also charged my card twice without my knowledge. When I tried to talk to the front desk she was very dismissive about the situation said she was new and wouldn't let me talk to anyone else about it.

highlights: 1) billed me for a night i had cancelled.. and had proof they just denied out of hand … 2) cancelled my room after i confirmed i had a room that day .. 3) gave me a new room at an upcharge because the one i originally requested was no longer available 4) spoke on phone with 3 people prior to my arrival none seemed to exist when i had an issue and no room front desk said “was it a woman”? i said two women and a third gentlemen at corporate … 5) house keeping banged my room to tell me to get out they needed to clean .. apparently had 11:00 checkout which in my defense was never told nor did i ask and honestly didn’t look. housekeeping argued and yelled in hallway about how they get payed by room and so they can’t stand around ( i left within 9 minutes of finding out 11:09 .. i refused to engage ) but needed two trips to car…while they argued .. rude…. and made my kid uncomfortable ( she was in shower at first of 3 door bangs ) 6) construction dust everywhere and hallways filled with workers… 7) … no the managers not here .. i needed a bed … i got one albeit at a higher rate. never again ..

Pleasantly surprised with this property! While atleast our room (203) was in need of some updating (from the looks of the construction equiptment in the parking lot it may be happening soon?) There was what looked like a hole punched in the closet door in the room and the tub looked as though it had been painted at some point and had some large chunks missing. With that being said the room was incredably clean. After working in the hotel industry for many years I hold all hotels to an extremely high level of cleanliness and 90% these days not only fall short but fail miserably. This property is most definitely one of the 10 % that still take pride in their property. While it is showing some age the rooms have been maintained. The largest reason this was a 5 star experience was the front desk staff. The gentleman that checked us in on 11/26 around 10pm was so friendly and kind. I dont believe I ever heard his name but he was great! Darius was the shining star. From having to search for multiple irons that didnt have something burned on them to trying to find silverware for me in the middle of the night he was the epitome of outstanding customer service. I truly cant say enough about his outstanding attitude and personality. Only frustrating part was parking. Because of all of the construction trailers in the parking lot there was little to no parking close to the building. We had to park in the Zaxbys or bank parking lots each night that are infront of the hotel. Will definitely return when working in the area again!

No consider and lazy front desk… My sister reserved the hotel for my uncle 2 nights before the stay. when he opened his room , someone was in the room. Awkward moment????? Talked to the front desk he responded that was not his fault and tried to sent us to different hotel. But the way he treated us (no respect) no apologize for the mistake- yes English is our second language but we still pay like other clients . Finally my sister came and requested to talked to manager, and the front desk keep refused-“manager is not here “. A hotel doesn’t have a manager???? All power is the front desk. “you have to go our other hotel 10 min away.” My sister was supper upset and finally he called a manager and down grade us from a double bed room to a 1 single bed room without an apology. customer service is very poor.

Very clean and stocked. Free breakfast of eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, bagels, pancakes, oranges, milk, juice and EXCELLENT hot coffee. Small gym that could use air vent or fan. Staff friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. We were having some work done in our home and had to be out over night. We wanted to be close to school and work. The gentleman that helped us actually took us to look at 2 sets of adjoining rooms we requested and let us pick. They are also only one of a few hotels in a pilot program offering full breakfast buffet ( mask and gloves required) to serve your food. The hotel is clean and well maintained.

Active Duty Military under 21 DO NOT COME HERE!!! My nephew tried to get a room he is active duty 18 years old and was told he is too young. My daughter went to reserve the room and was told they couldn't get military discount because she is 21 but not the active duty person. Then the lady who was rude the entire time said they couldn't have the room because she had to stay onsite the entire time even though my nephew is 18 then she kicked them out saying they smelled like marijuana which was untrue. The woman at the desk was just rude and kept trying to find reasons. As retired military I went to inquire why an active duty person under 21 wasn't welcomed. This woman was just rude and determined not to give him a room. I was really disappointed because a year ago we used this hotel after our house flooded and the front desk gentleman was completely wonderful and helpful. This old white lady seemed to discriminate against young people or military or race but kept trying to find reasons.

Reserved a room from Friday-Sunday for a funeral. After driving majority of the day we get here to check in and there is nobody up front to check us in. We called Expedia and the Holiday Inn Express Corporate #. The corporate line told us that it was our fault for being late. Both Expedia & HIE called the hotel with no answer. Office door was open, access to the desk and etc. After waiting a hour to check in this lady appears at the front desk. She had lines on her face and physically just woken up. The desk lady had been in a room asleep!! I was told from corporate that we would be hearing from the hotel manager. It’s been 2 days and no call back. I guess this shows me as a customer were I stand. No customer service from this location. When you come for a funeral and this is the service you get,…it’s something you never forget. Holiday Inn Express Buford your customer service sucks!!! Was told we would hear from someone today m,….its 3:55pm and NOTHING!
