Sadly this hotel did not meet expectations. Upon arrival my family and I became aware that we were next to a strip club. The lobby was highly scented, which I liked but people with sensitivities surely would not. We came to understand why there was cologne everywhere when we got to the room. The first room we were offered had a horrible wet musty smell. I refused to stay in there. The front desk staff was very nice, helpful and understanding offering us another room. That room had a portable dehumidifier in it. Clearly this hotel has water damage that is not being fixed. I booked through a 3rd party and notified them and the front desk I would not be staying here and was informed by both the third party and the front desk that a refund would be issued when the manager, Juan, was back on property on Monday. Juan gave the 3rd party the run around and made it very difficult to connect with him. I then called personally. No response. Finally after much persistence on my end, that I just wanted a refund due to the fact we did not actually stay on the premises, it was resolved. But NOT in a professional, timely manner. Very disappointed.

The hotel for the price paid wasn’t great in all honesty. The room was ok but littered with issues- paint peeling off the door, tap loose on the sink, plug blocked for the bath/shower, lights not working, stains on the foot stall. The bed was relatively comfortable but all round the room was poor. Given I paid well over $220 you really expect better for this sort of prices The main positive were the staff on the front desk were very friendly and attentive! A credit to the hotel and business

Diego at the front desk is great. You can tell he wants to make sure all guest needs are taken care of. He is was friendly but professional at the same time. Best Western is lucky to have a representative like Diego. Our room was clean and comfortable. When we stay in hotels I check the beds and furniture thoroughly for bugs. Our room was fine. Breakfast was also good.

Attractive, comfortable lobby. Front desk and housekeeping staff members were eager to please us. This is supposed to be a smoke- free environment but our first assigned room smelled like cigarettes, so we asked for a different room. Swimming pool is nice but very close to I-95 so there's some road noise, to be expected. Hallway carpeting appears old and worn, needs replacement. Outside the first-floor elevators, several tiles were missing and cones were in place as a safety warning, but this should be repaired soon.

The room was a nice room; the hotel lobby is beautiful and inviting. My only concern is the supervisor, she was extremely rude at checkout. Upon check-in around 2am due to a delayed flight, we were extended late checkup. She knocked several times and was extremely rude, even stating it’s time to check out NOW. However, once arriving at the lobby to leave, I overheard additional guests having a late checkout option. The staff was extremely nice, but the supervisor, should definitely have a course in customer service. It’s a way to speak with all guests and not in a rude, disrespectful tone.

Great value and location. Room was clean, bathroom spotless. Front Staff when we arrived late- tired in the evening, were very polite, efficient. Young man gave us local info for pharmacy and nearby store. The breakfast was excellent, hot food and sitting area was clean and Mr. Eduardo made sure we had everything we needed; he made “some caffecito” for me Spanish style that was better than any Star✨bucks I had! Parking well lit and close to everything. Best is the Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk is 5-8 minutes down the road.

Stayed at this property ahead of a cruise and I'm glad we did. The property and grounds were clean. The front lobby area is spacious and serves as a common area for the business area (computer stations), waiting area, dining/ lounging, breakfast, etc. Again, it is spacious, clean and organized. The front desk staff was so very kind, friendly and engaging. They went above to ensure the check-in was quick and easy. They worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable also. I know hotel staff assist thousands of travelers and these staff members get "it". I travel a lot and meet many hotel staffers and the staff at this property are on point! We reserved a king bedroom and it was so comfortable. Very roomy. Plenty of storage for a short trip or extended stay. Bed was soft by had some firmness. Linens were clean, lite and comfortable. Plenty of pillows. They are down filled, so if you're looking for cotton filled or other material, you at least know. Bathroom is a bit tight with the toilet facing the door with little "legroom". You'd be pressed to get 2 people in there getting ready. Shower had plenty of pressure. Nice sofa with coffee table. Overall, this property really exceeded the value for the money. I recommend and I hope you have the save experience.

I wish I could give this zero stars for the property itself and the manager Juan. The staff is incredibly friendly so I feel bad for them but this hotel suffers from a moisture issue which is causing mold and mildew, and an unpleasant smell in the lobby and rooms. To combat this, management is pumping in large amounts of perfume to mask the odor which initially is quite pleasant but becomes overpowering in a few minutes and caused us headaches. Rooms were full of mold in any crevace areas and had portable dehumidifers which was alarming to say the least. Just don't stay here, it's in a terrible part of town anyway.

Check in is at 4pm. After a long drive, exhausted, got to the hotel @4:15pm and no rooms were available for check in... not one single room at a hotel with hundreds of rooms. Waited in the lobby for a while and was finally able to get my room. It's a hotel, the only purpose of the business is to have rooms available by check in time. That's your only job.

My wife and I, and our son and his wife, stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The first room we were shown had a damp musky odor in it that was noticeable when you opened the door, and we rejected this room. The second room was better, but the door scrubbed the tile when it was opened, and light over the mirror in the bathroom was out. Plus, the room phone didn’t work. There were no small wash cloths available for guests who checked into the hotel on Nov 18th and 19th. There was only 1 small wash cloth in the rooms if you were lucky. My sons room only had 1 also? Other guests also complained to the front desk about this. The front desk and housekeepers didn't have any either day. The breakfast was ok. The rooms need to be upgraded. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The price you pay for a room compared to the quality of the room is a deal breaker. Plus, the website pictures versus the actual room pictures are outdated. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

I recently had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. I would like to give a special thanks to Juan, Diego, Phillip, Dolores, and Jennifer! Great staff! The hotel's location is also great for exploring the area. I highly recommend it for a wonderful stay!

Rooms cleaned on request. It is not a daily thing. I assume die to staff shortages. Otherwise staff is nice. Breakfast is good. Lots of options

The room was nice and well air conditioned, soft beds, housekeeping kept the room stocked with toiletries and towels and kept the room clean. The pool was fun with a waterfall. Breakfast every morning was delightful!

told the lady at the front desk that I paid in advance, but she still charged me again-our room had a couple of things not working-the shower and foset only had hoty water-the fire alarm keep on beeping-the tv remote control was set on a table when I grab it-it had water underneath I believe thats what it was water not sure- the carpet there was an area that was wet, we advised the front desk of all these as we was leaving when we came back to the room late at night there was a big loud machine set by the wet carpet we told the person at front desk at that time and kudos to him I believed his name was Newton-he came in personally to the room to take the machine out he wasn't sure why the machine was left there- after that he came in to bring us new bedding sets as the bedding we had stains like sheets where not changed so we had the change all the bedding on the beds-he also put a request my refund. Big kudos for him. I really like the lobby and pool was nice

Arrived very late in the evening due to being hurricane ian evacuees. Being without power and running water for 2 days we were looking forward to have some AC and water to shower in. We were greeted by Diego who checked is in. As we walked into our room we could hear the toilet running. We tried flushing and it would not flush. I called downstairs and Diego answered. I told him that we had just walked into our room and there was urine in our toilet and it was not flushing. He said "our rooms are all clean it must have been you who did that." I stated that we had just waked into our room that he had just checked us in like 2 minutes before that. I asked if someone could come up and fix it he said that noone would be available to come fix it til the morning. I asked to be moved to a different room he said they were full. I asked if there was anyone else he said they were all too busy. We went downstairs and he was on his cellphone. He then said that he would bring up a plunger for me to fix it. Im completely disgusted. The AC unit was making a loud noise that would wake you up every time it kicked on. I didn't bother to waste my breath saying anything. The location is okay since it's centrally located to shops, restaurants etc. You do hear all the highway noise from i95. Not good customer service. Definitely wish I would have taken my money elsewhere. Never again!!!

I Had an awful experience with this hotel. For 24 hours straight I tried to contact them about my reservation. No one answered the phone, no one answered emails. Finally when I got hold of someone, they were completely unwilling to assist me in my requests. I was unable to make any changes to my reservation. Be aware of the late check in time of 4pm when booking here. I actually needed this room for a day room as I had an 8 hour layover. With my flight being at 6pm this was no use to me. No refund options. No early check in options. I offered to pay more money for early check in. No options and not willing to work with me. When I went through the booking process it was not indicated that check in was at 4. Most hotels it’s 3 and they usually will get you in earlier. Rudest staff, completely unwilling to help. Wasted $130 since they wouldn’t refund me.

It is a ok place to stay it's getting a little shabby The Wi-Fi only lets you have one IP address so you can't cast to The television or have two people's phones on Wi-Fi that sucks. I wasn't in helendale for the hotel experience I just needed a place to sleep and it was quite enough to do so.

This location was ok. It's an old building but seemed to have a fresh coat of paint. Lots of freeway noise but it was drowned out by the air conditioning and a dehumidifier. We passed on breakfast which didn't look appealing.

The hotel doesn’t cost its money. We stayed there for 2 nights, the first room had an awful smell, so we asked for a second room. The second room had black mold on the ceiling (attached photos); Overall, I do not recommend this hotel at all. Needs a serious upkeep.

Upon arrival for my reservation on 08/17, I didn't realize I was checked into a poorly cleaned room until I started to look closely. I have attached the pictures below. I went downstairs and showed the pictures to the front desk agent. She told me "The roach traps are there to prevent them from being in the room".  She added I would have to re-pack my things and wait in the lobby for another room to be cleaned by housekeepers. I waited downstairs for almost half an hour until I was told my room was ready.  After inspecting the room I didn't run into any problems and I was satisfied. Until the next day, both me and my friend walked back into a room that reeked of toilet water. The carpet was soaked as well as my friend's personal belongings. We went downstairs to speak to the night auditor (Newton) and were told there were no more rooms available and there is nothing he could do but document it in his notes. We demanded to speak to a manager in the morning but were told the general manager (Juan) does not come back till Monday. Keep in mind that all together we payed $487. I called Monday and was told he was not working. I spoke to corporate and the management team basically denied everything I stated even though I sent proof. I have stayed in motels with better service than this dump. The management is awful and I will never stay in a best western again. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!

The staff the room everything was lovely. I was scared at first looking at some of the reviews but they could not have been more wrong when I say this will be my getaway hotel from now on yess I loved it there. Experience it for your self cause those reviews don’t give u the full vision.

Stayed overnight with my loved one. The room was clean but the lights flickered all night. The ac was not working well and left the room completely damp feeling. The shower had no inside curtain. The elevator felt like it would give out everytime someone came in. The sound of it was really bad and loud. Woke up to a homicide next door gun shots being heard at 5:30am definitely will not be back.

Honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve traveled a lot. I can’t believe there are no comments on safety. I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel. I was kept up until 4am due to pounding and overall loudness/lights on in the room next to me with a communicating door. After 40 min I called the front who said “she’s trying to get in the room. Maybe we should call the police I hope he’s not dead in there”. Figure of speech or not this is not the thing to say to a hotel guest that is already on edge because of the conversation I heard earlier from the room that involved a lot of cursing and screaming. Finally the pounding stopped but then the person opened their communicating door, allowing me to hear even more of their noise/now blasted with light and left wondering at 4 am why in the world they’d compromise their security by opening that. If I wasn’t scared to leave my room I would’ve asked to be moved. It doesn’t end there. Breakfast doesn’t start until 730. Many people staying here need to conquer Miami traffic and be at work by 8??? A little late? I didn’t know it wasn’t until 730 and it was open so I helped myself. A man came out, stared at me, and pointed at his watch and said 730? It was around 715. I know I was wrong but you don’t EVER have to be rude, esp if you have a tip jar out. And not knowing what someone is going through, like me off 3.5 hours of sleep. Sketchy location. Only thing good was the receptionist who is very nice . STAY away!!!
