Me and my family of 4 stayed here. Our family is a pool family and was really looking forward to the nice reviews and pool we saw online. The pool was just that! Honestly it was a great place to swim. But the seating was absurd. All the seats were packed and we had to sit on the ground. This would have been fine if there wasn’t a whole empty owner section with around 30 open chairs that no one else could sit in. I hope they give their guest more chairs if we return. At this point in our stay we stopped going to the pool because it was the same and we just headed off to the beach. The resort only has 4 elevators for over 40 floors of rooms. Not to mention no service elevator, meaning every time you would get on there was a cart and service employee on it causing delays to be even greater. We stopped on 15 floors to just get to the pool, on all 15 floors we could not pick up any of the passengers due to full capacity. At the bar it was $25 dollars per shot and they were not worth it! Honestly I would not recommend this place for a spring break vacation, or a vacation in general.

I recently stayed at the Hyde resort and residences and it was a complete nightmare! I have never experienced such horrible and nonexistent customer service in my life. The people at the front desk were like human-less robots who couldn't think outside the box, and were very rude, especially Nelson. It was clear that the staff had zero regard for the people staying at the hotel. The beach personnel were also extremely rude and horrible, which just added to our terrible experience. We came with our family to celebrate a birthday and were shocked to find out that even though we booked separately at the same hotel, we couldn't stay in the same beach section. They wouldn't make an exception for the fact that our family flew across the country to celebrate the birthday, and still put us in separate sections. The staff were absolutely the dumbest staff I have ever encountered. The rooms were also worn out, looked old and not taken care of. It was clear that the place is overpriced and doesn't deserve to even operate. In fact, I would say that it needs to be shut down to do the world a favor. To make matters worse, we found disgusting hair in our food at the restaurant and still got charged a 20% gratuity. This was just the icing on the cake of our already terrible experience. Overall, I am hugely disappointed in all the staff, hotel amenities, and the overall experience at the Hyde resort and residences. I would not recommend anyone stay here and advise you to choose a different hotel if you want to have a decent vacation. The biggest disappointment was with all the staff hired to run this property. We felt harassed, mistreated, and in a completely inhumane way. The level of disrespect and lack of care for the customers was shocking. It was evident that the staff had no training in customer service and seemed to have no understanding of how to treat their guests with respect and kindness. It's clear that they have no regard for the customer experience, and that's why we felt like we were treated in such a horrible and inhumane way. We were extremely disappointed with our experience at the Hyde resort and residences, and I would caution anyone thinking of staying here. The staff is completely unprofessional and disrespectful, and they clearly have no interest in making sure their guests have a positive experience.

Hotel is well maintained. Location is great. Service is great. Josh, the attendant at the beach was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and stocked. Unfortunately the only reason I would not be returning is due to the elevator delays. Unless you leave very early in the morning and return late at night you are bound to encounter a line to get on and off the elevator. Each trip we waited 10-20 minutes for an elevator. Not sure the reason for the delay- there are four elevators for a 40+ floor building. If it wasn’t that our room was on the 35th floor we would have taken the stairs the entire stay. We have stayed at major resorts all over the world and have never encountered this type of elevator delays.

We are a family of 4, spring break vacation. It was a complete nightmare. I'm going to try to summarize our experience at Hyde resort but my advice to anyone who care about their hardworking money don't waste it on that resort. It's not a 4* not even 1* resort. Wish I knew and read reviews before booking and going there because we find out there are better resorts in the same area, do your research and trust reviews. 1) find out we have to pay valet for parking. 2) wrong room as advertise on their website, end up changing room 3 times. 3) no hot water couldn't clean ourselves on first day of our arrival. Toaster don't work, broken dining table we stay away from that eyesore, picture in living almost fell on my daughter passing by. 4) front desk never answer phone, we had to go downstairs everytime for complaints and assistance. Front desk receptionist can't even speak English. 5) room not clean, floor all dusty.. We requested to just leave on our first night there, take our losses and leave but receptionist beg for us to wait and speak to management.. that's another nightmare story too long for Google.. 6) only one front desk person there at all times.

This place is terrible. They charge for every little thing. Service is rude. Elevators are broken. The pool is broken. Everything in the gym is broken except the dumbbells and a couple of treadmill. Pool towels aren’t cleaned properly, the one i got had orange stains on one side. Rooms aren’t cleaned probably, there where rust stains or poop stains next to the toilet. Stains on the carpet and couch. Very unsanitary. Half of the lounges at the pool are closed off for no reason. Food and drinks are mediocre but extremely overpriced. Doors are broken. So much is broken that is included in the price and its not getting repaired. Beach is extremely dirty with algae and a lot of trash…Huge letdown for the high price you pay. Will never come back here again and I advice anyone reading this to book your vacation at a different resort.

Very unpleasant stay. The rooms are nice and the prices are reasonable. However, one of the rooms had a big spot on the couch and the garbage can was broken. It had plenty of towels, but one wash cloth. We had to pay a separate resort fee, to include paying a separate fee for valet parking, since they didn’t allow self-parking. The elevator service was dissatisfying, they ran extremely slow. Next, even though you were provided wrist a band to indicate you were part of the hotel, you had to scream out your room number every time you walked by the security desk in order to access the elevators. If you didn’t say your room number, they didn’t allow you to go by. They restricted and limited what you could and could not bring to the pool area. They even restricted food and beverages! The beach was right out back. However, the spot they had designated for the hotel was about 15 minute walk on sand. So, imagine if you had to go to the bathroom or forgot something in your room! Such an inconvenience. The beach chairs were pre-set up. Therefore, you could space out nor pick your own location. The chairs were placed too close to one another. Very uncomfortable. People were placed on top of each other. It was a lack of privacy. I will not be back to this spot nor would I recommend it.

I wish I had read the reviews on here before we booked. Very poor customer service by the security guard who was rude to my 16 year old daughter today. Poor customer service by the waiter at the Terrace restaurant. By the way both restaurants on site charge a 20% service charge which does not include tip. So we had to pay 40% to a waiter who had zero customer service. Main pool was down. You cannot take hotel towels to the beach. Instead if you book a residence you would have to walk half a mile on the hot sand to get the 2 complimentary chairs and umbrella service and stay at that location. The front desk people were the nicest. Elevator situation sucks. When you want to go to the beach you have to go through the main lobby and there is always armed security guards watching you 24/7. They give you a bracelet as if you were in summer camp. Ridiculous... loved the condo however it's too bad the resort does its owners' tenants unjustice.

I had an amazing time here! I would love to visit again soon! The View from my room for sunrise and sunset was absolutely beautiful! Being able to walk out on the beach right from the lobby was very convenient! The staff and security was very professional. It was a nice escape from the Miami Beach paced lifestyle you get if you drive about 40 minutes The pool & gym were very nice and family friendly as well!

Let me start by saying the hotel is beautiful and very pleasing.I did in fact have some bad experiences though. At first the valet parking, i went for a quick drive around ocean drive and didn’t even park my car and came back to the hotel, as soon as i get to the lobby someone approached my car already taking a picture of a damage in the back that i didn’t know about. I had barely parked and i don’t know how they “saw” a damage that quick. It was impossible for me to have made that damage since i just drove around for about an hour and didn’t park. I don’t think it was possible for them to see a damage so quick that i didn’t even see in the first place. I quickly ask to see camera images from the parking because i know they made it and we’re trying to blame it on me. When i get there the next day to see the camera images they has polished and cleaned the car which just made it more obvious it was them. At the end they admit it was them but i was absolutely RIDICULOUS that they tried to blame it on me at first. Secondly something everyone talks about, the elevators they are bad and i waited for about 20 minutes for an elevator once, they are not as bad as people are saying it is tolerable but it is terrible when you are tired and just want to get to bed. Lastly the employees were very rude to me and my family, there were two workers that were very nice and understanding i don’t happen to know their names but the rest were just so impolite. Something that really bothered me was that i was going to the beach and was wearing a bikini top and the guard approached me and said i needed to have a shirt over it which i understand but there were a couple of men shirtless that they did not say anything to them which was again RIDICULOUS and really bothered me. Overall would not recommend this hotel

Horrible experience at this resort. I made my reservation through Priceline and they told me I had a $46 resort fee.. instead I was charged $64 resort fee and then $215 in HIDDEN FEE’S!! Then our TV did not work and the front desk clerk told us no one can fix it till the following morning at 9:30. Well who the hell needs the TV right before check out ? And also our phones inside the rooms did not work either I had to call the front desk from my cell phone. Front desk clerk Nadine was unprofessional in how she handled my complaint and was ghetto . I was very specific when I asked about a cleaning fee and I was told in English which I understand wry well that if we clean the room we do not get charged anything. So of course we cleaned it up. Then I get told that this person who checked me in was new and didn’t know about the cleaning fee. Then I get told that they don’t even have a supervisor or manager on site to help me. How convenient of them to not have someone on site who could help me with my complaint. So my $300 stay for the night turned into almost $600 after all these hidden fees were charged to my credit card. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE FOR SUCH A NICE RESORT. They should screen their personnel better before hiring garbage to work the front desk!!

I brought my family here for 5 days, and we stayed at this hotel Hyde. To start off matter, they give you a valet card to text in order to have your vehicle ready by the time you reach the lower level. The line never worked, and you have to wait 10 or more minutes once you exit the elevator and speak with someone at the valet window outside the hotel. Secondly, we're we stuck inside the elevator for more than 23 minutes with another family vacationing as well. The final straw for me was day two. I woke up thirsty wanting something to drink from the fridge. I turned on the lights, and to my vision, I saw four roaches running around our hotel floor. I killed them and showed the stuff just so they understood the magnitude of this situation I myself and my family are in. I do not want to bring roaches back to Minnesota in our beautiful home. Overall it's a nice beautiful place..... on pictures and vision, but our nightmare started once we arrived and didn't stop until we left. I wouldn't want anyone I know to stay here due to the staff management and making you feel like it's your fault that this place called Hotel has roaches and bad individuals working here. I would not request or advise anyone to come here, particularly for vacation it was our worst ever. I have pictures of the roaches as well.

My first family vacation, we are all amazed. Every room was wonderful but I was obsessed with mine in particular! Every room had ton of dish-ware to choose from, gorgeous layout of the room, I was absolutely in love with all the wall art..modern and designer! I felt very safe there, staff was all very kind and welcoming. Pools are beyond clean and drinks are very tasty! I loved having a washer and dryer that’s gentle with your clothes. Enough towels, shampoo and conditioner..plenty of ice in the freezer. Chairs were always available at the beach. I loved that I had a robe in the room since I prefer one after shower! Blow drier was powerful and gentle..since I didn’t bring mine it was a life saver. Thank you for the wonderful experience! If my brother didn’t suggest it I would never have known about it!

I have never been so disappointed in a luxury property in my life from the rude front desk staff to the broken elevator room doors no water for 2 days brown water when it finally came back on and it was cold…… I’m so disappointed I was locked out of my room for 1hr because of electric issues and to make matters worse they don’t even offer you any accommodations never again ‼️ the restaurant staff was the only proper hospitality I received smiles and warm welcomes. Whoever is managing this place needs to immediately take action to resolve these issues and offer proper accommodations when things don’t go the way they should. And yes I have videos and pics. Beware of this location it’s nothing like what It seems

This place is ridiculous. The service except for the folks at the bar by the pool, sucks. One guy at the beach umbrella and towel kiosk at the beach were unprofessional. One of them came up to my wife who was walking on the beach and told her she better not have alcohol in her Yeti. The other 2 were playing soccer. The security guards at the pool told us we couldn't breathe basically. Loved the facilities, but not the people. On the same token, hats off to Jimmy and company at the bar and Omar at the restaurant. Great example that should be followed by the others. They were amazing!

Room was awesome and clean! It had a few glassware items that need to be replaced, there was only one wine glass in our unit. We could have used another chair or two on the balcony but was otherwise great! Got locked out of our room first night and after waiting it was resolved, but overall kind staff. The spa was amazing and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place, the view from our apartment was spectacular, the elevators were not as slow as some reviewers mentioned it (there are 4 elevators for 41 floors), the pool area is nicely done and the gym is well equipped and has a view to the ocean too. The staff was friendly, I like how secured the place is. The resort has a direct access to the beach which was clean too! It’s a very family friendly place.

1 building is on the beach, the other building is across the street. It's a residence hotel so rooms have a kitchen. No daily service unless you want to pay for it. But it's a very nice spot with great views, friendly staff, and a roof top pool as well as ocean front chairs (included). Each room has a large balcony with table and chairs. There's a Walmart grocery within walking distance too, to stock your kitchen and beer fridge. Overall, a great place to stay if you're in the area or want a quiet beach front. Not a lot to do off the resort.

The Hyde Hotel Residence, was my go-to spot for a Florida vacation in recent years (my fourth stay), used to be ideal due to its proximity to the airport, Walmart, and local dining, along with its beachfront location. However, the recent experience fell short. The unit needs better cleaning, and dirty walls with black marks slightly dampened the ambiance. Despite these issues, it’s manageable. Unfortunately, my dissatisfaction primarily stems from a significant problem with a security guard, Mr. Carlos M., in the pool area. Uncertain if that’s his real name, as he lacked a badge, he appeared to be a Hispanic/Cuban man in his late 40s or early 50s, overweight. He singlehandedly created a negative atmosphere, causing issues with everyone from children with grapes to teens in the cabana. Personally, I bought 7$ coffee at the restaurant but was forced by Mr. Carlos to retrieve the receipt, treating me like a criminal with rude words. He even tried to evict people and their young children from the pool for having arm floats – a safety measure for kids aged 3-4. The situation was resolved after on-site management clarified the necessity of such safety gear. Mr. Carlos exhibited a rude and aggressive demeanor, seemingly intent on creating issues. I regret the service did not meet expectations for the money invested in staying at The Hyde.

This is a review of the gym. Come check out the Saturday morning yoga class at 10 am! It's a great way to kick off the weekend. Plus, the views are spectacular. There are plenty of machines and weights too. Great view of the pool which is just outside of the gym. Yoga and zumba is offered free for residences and hotel guests.

Very good place to change areas. People very kind and friendly. Crew allowed a bunch of kids play with a football and tennis ball inside the pool. Therefore, it was not calm and enjoyable pool. Rooms just a tad dated, but doable. Ample space. Freshening up the rooms and you have an amazing hotel. Will definitely go back!!

I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my anniversary. My room was great, but the pool and beach accommodations were lacking. The pool doesn’t have enough seating and I ended up sitting on the ground two days until a chair opened up. One day the pool was out of towels. The beach chairs are quite a walk down the beach and there were never chairs available on the beach the 4 days I was there. I will not be back.

The hotel, the room, the pool and the view was beautiful and amazing but terrible and really bad customer services at the restaurant. It is much to say since the prices are not chip. They make you feel uncomfortable. They are very unfriendly and it is clear that it is look like they are doing their job like an obligation. They do not make you feel satisfied and when you tips them as they deserve you can see in their faces the attitude. After that if next day you go to eat, the food quality is really bad. They decreased customer service because you only tips the tips that come included. I went to another Hotel a few months ago and was totally different. Now, I could see the difference between some hotels that are supposed to be better cause they are more expensive and they do not. Nothing is what look like.

Pro - location, spectacular view, friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean property. Cons - elevators are slow, valet is slow, cleaning fee isn’t properly disclosed when room is reserved, very strict in pool area can’t even enjoy your drink while in the pool. Overall experience was nice but not enough for me to choose to stay here again. The inconveniences out weighed the perks.

It was the worst decision we ever made . Everything from customer service to experience on the beach was terrible. It’s listed as a hotel but it’s condos that are rented out. No room service of any kind . Zero cleaning. Beach situation is absolutely ridiculous. The priority given to condo owners and you get really bad beds far away from the water. It is just terrible place . Mattress are very worn out .

I recently booked a condo at Hyde Resort and Residences for my sister's 50th birthday, and I'm thrilled to share that the resort exceeded my expectations. Despite initial skepticism from some reviews, the condo lived up to the pictures, offering a clean and beautiful space with breathtaking beach views from every angle. The staff, from check-in to check-out, were exceptional, leaving me with no complaints. I highly recommend experiencing it firsthand rather than relying on potentially misleading reviews. Don't let negative comments about staff or property deter you—I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit and can't wait to come back.

Great overall, but why am I spending 400-500$ dollars a night to stay at a hotel that doesn’t even have functioning elevators?!? I read some other reviews and no one is talking about the horrible elevators!! Thank god we were on a low floor because we had to use the stairs every time we wanted to reach the lobby. And If we wanted to go to the 30th floor to meet our friends, we would have to wait almost 10 minutes to get a elevator that’s not full with people or an elevator that doesn’t have a cleaning lady with a cleaning supplies taking over all the space or the elevator. Besides this elevator problem, our stay was very enjoyable, I just expected better out of a 400-500 dollars a night hotel!? Maybe build more elevators?

Very nice apartments with a gorgeous view! Super cozy... The pool was clean, the beach as well! Loved the security personal. Unlike 3 years ago when I was staying there and there were plenty of people at the pool that somehow were getting in so there was no room for us and we could not get an umbrella to sit under this time there were security everywhere making sure it is safe and no strange people on the hotel territory . The negative: you will have to wait for the elevator sometimes for 20-30 minutes especially if you gonna stay at the lower floors. By the time they arrive they are full and you have to wait again and again... Had to use the stairs couple of times from the 10th floor. Overall very family friendly place! Would definitely stay there again!

What a beautiful, serene experience! From the moment of walking into the resort, I didn’t want to leave. The check in process was seamless, our luggage and groceries were brought up to our room, compliments of the resort. The valet service was quick and convenient. We genuinely enjoyed not worrying about towels or chairs on the beach/pool. We had no issues with the availability of cabanas. The poolside service was great! Every staff encounter was pleasant. We appreciated the security and safety of our stay. There are multiple restaurants in walking distance, even at other resorts/hotels that you’ll have access to. There are 41 floors, with no issues with the elevators; we were impressed! The ocean and city views are breathtaking. This was a true experience and the most relaxing vacation we have been on. We truly appreciated the accommodation and the peaceful nature of our stay.

I am very grateful to the Hyde hotel for the service it provided us. Friendly staff, brought us everything we needed, and an incredible manager allowed us to late check out. Wonderful pools, but unfortunately the pool for adults was under restoration, only the children's pool was working. For each person is given one chaise lounges and towel on the beach, chaise lounges can be taken from 9 am, it’s free. The Valet parking is also great, the car was served 10-15 minutes after the request, the price of valet parking is only $35 per day. We are incredibly happy with our family vacation, thank you, we will come back! Thank you!

honestly, based on the reviews I was scared to stay on the hotel… however it wasn’t that bad. My experience wasn’t that bad with the costumer service, I had this bellman, Sebastian I think, he was really kind and helpful. The room was nice and clean, I loved the view!!! Terrazas was also a really good restaurant I loved the BBQ chicken burger.

I usually don't give Google reviews. The hotel itself, the beach, the pool, plus location are all good. Some of the staff are nice, but a lot of them are very unfriendly. They won't accept your online groceries at the front desk, they won't let the delivery person up nor help you carry them up to your room. They forgot to tell as important things like how to get towels by the pool. If you rent a condo, the beach area is a 7 minutes hike away. It's a shame because we were going to come back, but this is not the place that makes you feel at home. Not even at check out do they say "thank you for your stay", it's more the attitude of "I cannot be bothered to help you". As I said, some of them are great, but a lot of the staff would really need a course in customer service. Is this really the best you can do? So if you are looking for a place that makes you feel welcome and at home, this likely not the right fit.

My wife and I just checked out after a wonderful stay at the Hyde Resort. We were impressed with all the amenities but the staff here is what will bring us back next year! Alasandro, George and their staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. David, Te-Koi, Noah, Logan, Agustin to name a few, are very attentive to every detail making us feel at home at every turn. I can’t end this review without mentioning the Front Desk. Connie and Rasheena were so kind and made checking in and out effortless! Thanks to all at the Hyde Resort for a great week of rest and relaxation. Sincerely, Chris and Cindy Roberts

Hotel was pretty decent and centrally located. Staff was nice and friendly though I would recommend they clean the rooms more thoroughly as the windowsill was covered in dust. Besides for that overall experience was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely consider staying there again!

PROS: Upon our arrival, the valet parking process was seamless, and the attendant was courteous, providing a smooth start to our visit. Highlighted aspects for me include Location, Balcony View, the facilities inside the apartment, and the Parking Valet Service. CONS: Unfortunately at check-in time, the interaction with the front desk staff was far from satisfactory. The attendant displayed an unwelcoming demeanor, neglecting to offer basic greetings or eye contact. Rather than providing helpful information initially, she focused on detailing restrictions and penalties, which made us feel undervalued as guests. We were surprised to learn about the limitations of beach amenities. Despite paying a resort fee for a two-bedroom apartment accommodating three guests, we were informed that we were limited to only two beach chairs and four towels. This restriction was not mentioned at the time of booking, a detail that would have influenced our preparations. Using the elevators proved chaotic, with only three functioning in the forty-story building. The wait times to reach the lobby were excessively long. Adding to the frustration, building crew members, laden with equipment, disregarded guests, including those with infants, as they nonchalantly used the same elevators without consideration. The day before check-in I received instructions, restrictions and penalties, and information supplies. In the information supplies disregarded how much you paid, was mentioned they provide only one toilet paper roll per bathroom, one soap, and one shampoo and I was told you may go to one of the nearby grocery stores to buy anything you need for the rest of your vacation (Which I really didn't know it:)). I was charged $150 for cleaning service which I have never received this service during our 4 nights stay. The only response to our call to the Booking customer service and a prolonged chat with the host resulted in the delivery of an additional bath towel!
