My family and I took part in a bat tour and we were thrilled. We learned a lot of new things about bats and also saw some up close.

Quiet, easy-to-reach nature reserve with an observatory, great views above for kite flying and sheep, goats, etc. below, directly adjacent to Fort Hahneberg. Paths well paved.

The Hahneberg nature conservation station is located in the nature reserve of the same name and has various offers for nature lovers, including excursions and projects. Opening hours are Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The whole area is ideal for walking.

For the annual butterfly tour: wonderfully eventful with approx. 17 species of butterflies, great inquisitive group of only 10 people, knowledgeable tour by Dr. Dirks. Overall, a big thank you to the organizer and the leader of the tour. I wish this nature conservation station on the edge of the city with an adjacent, varied nature reserve the success it deserves! Because institutional supporters can proudly show what has been developed here. Simply praiseworthy!

Easily accessible and a gem for people and animals. Secured so that dogs can play but not have accidents on Heerstrasse. Parking spaces are available.

Nature conservation that you can touch and take a walk. I'm glad that something like this exists. There has to be more of it

Great projects and many different subject areas with a wide variety of lecturers and all in the fresh air. Definitely worth a visit. Even if you don't have any specific interests, you can just take a look here.

Great shepherd tour in the nature conservation station on Hahneberg, where you not only get to know the sheep while feeding them crispbread and petting the sheepdogs, but also learn interesting facts about the profession of shepherding. In addition, various courses/projects are offered for families, kindergarten groups and school classes. Even in moderate weather, a visit is worthwhile. We'd love to come back!

A really good place for a Sunday afternoon walk , for your everyday run or riding around on your MTB. The hilltop needs a bit more care, development and should be really cleaned up of junk that's laying around but otherwise once you're up there... Just soak up that view.

We were there with our three-year-old grandson for an information event on the topic of “landscape conservation through sheep farming”. A very friendly welcome, lots of interesting information, pictures, herding dog activities, sheep flock observation with a very relaxed-looking shepherd - who has obviously found his place👍 The subsequent felting was even fun for the little ones. If we lived nearby, we would certainly be there more often for the various events on offer.
