Our visit to Coda Restaurant was an experience that promised to be extraordinary and in fact delivered unique concept. The tasting menu, which focuses on sweet ingredients and includes one bone marrow dish, showcased exceptional plating, high-quality techniques and innovative flavor combinations. However, the duration of the evening was too long, from 19:00 to 23:30, which caused some discomfort with less than ideal seating. The service was also sometimes sloppy, with empty glasses sitting on our table for a long time, which was unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber. Although the innovative concept was appreciated, the price of almost 300 euros for a tasting menu consisting mainly of vegetables, fruits and pastries seemed out of proportion. While the restaurant certainly offers a unique dining experience, it tends to be more of a place to creatively mix sweet ingredients than just concentrate on tasting desserts. Carrots, beetroots are sweet, but this is not a dessert. None of the dishes were sweet enough. In conclusion, extended duration, high prices, poor service will be the main reason we won't revisit.

We were very excited to dine. Really nice and professional staff, would say that the food looks impressive but definitely playing it safe when it comes to flavor. Not what I would expect from a 2 star dining experience (very bland compared to other Micheline places) and sorry to say that I would not recommend it to friends/family for that sort of money.

Did I enjoy CODA? No. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go. It's super inventive and like nothing I've experienced before. With a restaurant this high concept, it's not going to please everyone and the style wasn't really a match for my palette, but I am still glad to have been. I did really enjoy the drinks pairings and the aubergine dish. Personally I don't think the four bites at the start added anything and I could have lived without them. Service was good and everything was well explained.

This is an over the original, incredible dessert and wine tasting experience. Food: Fascinating dining with creative use of natural ingredients to create a wide variety of delicious dishes. Coda is alchemy. The chefs make purple carrots taste like blueberry without sugar, and make amazing mousse without cream or sugar. CODA's "signature" comes in the form "Caviar Popsicle" that is gorgeous in both taste and texture. Each course comes with a small serving of relevant drink. Service: Staff is enthusiatic and knowledgable, which adds to the experience. It isn't cheap, but it is worth every penny. We loved every second!

Late night indulgence with creative pastries and top notch booze. Came here the second time already for the late evening slot as I simply love the concept. Your reservation gets you four plates of dessert and some snacks paired with shot sized drinks. You can add up to two more plates - This upselling is done in a transparent way, so if you don't want to pay more, just don't do it. We took one of these supplements and it was a glorious cheese waffle, so well worth the extra buck. Note that the pairing is really just one or two sips, so a good bottle from the wine list seems imperative. Focus here is on sake, champagne and sweet/off-sweet Riesling. Many interesting or aged bottles and markups are generally friendly. My only point of concern would be that I could not feel any distinguishable improvement from my last visit when the restaurant held just one Michelin star to the two it has now. But maybe this is more a criticism towards the Guide than the restaurant.

Great experience! If you want to foray into the gastronomy space, great place to start. Good value with the drink pairing which is innovative and enjoyable

Summary: disappointing Would I go again? No Why? Wrong evaluation: Michelin gives 2 stars to coda. But in my opinion it is max. 1. Maybe not even! Too posh: in most of the dishes ingredients show up that nobody knows but they lack frequent taste - keep it classic and regional. It feels like the coda team looks for exotic components just that they can mention it Bad drinks: the drink paring was super over flavored. I would have preferred a wine paring Too expensive: 160 for 5 courses and 1 glass of champagne is far far too much for the ingredients and complexity of the food

We had so much fun at Coda, it was quite an awesome experience. Flavours and textures were really something else. There is nothing really to complain about. While it’s not my place to give a Michelin starred restaurant feedback, but if you incorporate coffee in your menu, I would like to suggest to check out Rozali Coffee. While Bonanza is a good roaster, Rozali roasts exceptional coffee that might be a better fit to Coda. Other than that, it was amazing.

Fantastic dining experience! We were wait listed but informed the day before that we got a table. I highly recommend this place for two reasons: the finest dessert dining experience-(1) and the perfect pairing of dishes and drinks-(2). Each dish was beautifully plated. The sweetness was well controlled for a 7 dessert course meal. This was my first dessert fining dining course so I was delighted to experience something new. Also I loved how they carefully orchestrated the drinks pairing. The drinks certainly enhanced and elevated the taste. CODA Berlin team is was friendly but professional and certainly well trained. Everyone speaks English and explains each course quite well. This was important for me since I don’t speak German. My least favorite was the grilled apple (#6) dish but not that I disliked — just relatively. Also I wouldn’t order the Caviar Popsicle. It was good to experience but we go back we would just order one and share. Overall, it was a great dinner. Took us 2.5 hrs but didn’t feel that long; loved it. If you can go to only one fine dining during your stay in Berlin, CODA won’t disappoint you.

Coda Dessert Dining is a unique dining experience that is sure to impress. During my first visit, I was blown away by the quality of the food. Each dish was expertly crafted and beautifully presented, making for a truly amazing dining experience. However, when I returned to Coda 12 months later, I was disappointed to find that the menu had not changed at all. While the dishes were still excellent, it was disappointing to not have the opportunity to try new and exciting dishes. In addition to the lack of menu variety, the wine list at Coda was also underwhelming. It seemed to lack the guidance of a good sommelier and did not offer a great selection of options to complement the dishes. Overall, Coda Dessert Dining is a great choice for those looking for a unique dining experience with amazing dishes. However, if you're looking for a more dynamic dining experience with a changing menu and a well-curated wine list, you may want to consider other options.

One of the best restaurants in Berlin. Loved its innovative approach to food and emphasizing dessert techniques throughout the meal. The entire meal is well balanced and each dish looked and tasted amazing. While the focus is on dessert dining, most of the dishes were deeply savory, which I appreciated. The caviar and artichoke popsicle was a highlight.

Place was amazing. Food was exceptional. Really creative and the drinks were equally good. We went for the taster menu and pairings. Service was expert and swift while being friendly. Loved it. Won’t show all the photos so I don’t spoil the surprise.

A unique experience that we'll remember for a long time. A very nice chef and competent, friendly staff provided us with exciting, tasty and often surprising delicacies over the 4 hours. Highly recommended for special occasions or just to try something out. Many thanks to the CODA team.

We had the late desert pairing here a few nights ago. Love the intimacy and the house music. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but my expectations were surprisingly surpassed. So creative and oh so good! Who knew I loved one of my favorites would be the caviar? And the alcohol pairing was pure genius.

A very exquisite and elegant menu with a unique atmosphere. The employees are all so nice, very friendly and like answering questions about each dish. I love that they take the time to explain what the dessert is made of! The desserts and wine taste divine. We had a great time there!

Celebrated our 10 year anniversary here this evening. And what an amazing experience! Each dish was spectacular in its own way. Flavors delicately selected and combined , and each course served with its own cocktail which brought out the best flavors in each dish. The Eggplant followed by the Cheesecake was my absolute favorites. The olive covered chocolate at the end was a delightful surprise. The fact that so much effort and thought goes into the construction if each dish is mine blowing. Tonight we ate art and loved every single bite.

MIND BLOWING EXPERIENCE!!! I've been to many great restaurants, but this one was remarkable. The food is excellent, and not just that, the combination of the ingredients are perfectly thought. The desserts are definitely not very sweet and sometimes it can be a little savory, the match between the ingredients are amazing, I didn't even feel that it was a just desserts restaurant. The service is excellent, the staff are super friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!

Despite breaking the existing common sense and framework, the deep understanding of the natural sweetness of the ingredients and the resulting harmony of it had a strong power. What a solid presentation that that does not only look strong on the outside, but standing as a root ! Keep clapping to this amazing dining experience 👏👏👏

The drinks and the wine were nothing else but a disappointment. Lukewarm… The dishes were okay. Sorry guys, the service was good, and I am more than happy to pay extra, but I can’t recommend this place.

The entire dining experience at CODA was flawless, from the amazing service to the room and atmosphere. The dishes were also beautifully presented and most were very tasty. I also enjoyed the pairing drinks, which went very well. However - for the very high price you pay, I have to admit I expect to be blown away by the food. While a couple of dishes or something components were delicious, some were just quite good. I'd personally prefer less vegetable based dishes, as these just don't have the same potential to be amazing in my opinion - even a very well prepared vegetable mousse is rarely going to wow you all that much. Our favourites were by far the dishes with cheese and the few containing meat. While we still enjoyed the lovely night out, given the high price and the 2 Michelin stars, I have to say my expectations were not quite met.

Amazing food experience. Had the chance to taste Paul Pairet’s Ultraviolet 3* in Shanghai and Guy Savoy 3* in Paris last year and Coda offers also incredible food. Cheese waffle and Caviar popsicle were my favorite. Service is really efficient and super nice. Special thanks to Adam who was very attentive. Will definitely come back and every foodie should try Coda.

It was an amazing experience. The service was incredible as well. We went to 2 other Michelin starred restaurants on this trip and this one was by far our favorite. It was a very different experience to other restaurants, the flavors were outstanding and so was the experience. It is an experience I will never forget.

Was there in May 2022, but only now got to the review. It is one of my most interesting dining experiences, which is to be expected, considering the fact that the menu is entirely made out of desserts. It is really creative, interesting textures, flavours and flavour combinations. In my opinion the price is fair. I will definitely go again.

I think CODA was made for us. We love dessert. And we love great food! CODA takes a unique spin on dessert inspired foods, but savory, yet sweet and absolutely perfect. We loved every second. The staff was also attentive and kind -- we even got to meet the team preparing our unforgettable meal. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

It is one of the best meals of my life. It's hard to put into words. Definitely try the caviar popsicle. I also love the entrance. It looks like a place that doesn't exist.

So, a disclaimer from the start, this was our first fine dining experience and our first Michelin starred restaurant. Appearances from the very start, were incredible. An undisclosed entrance into a delicately lit foyer and straight to our seats of this very small but personal restaurant. Everything felt tailor made for the experience and the staff were all brilliantly professional and knowledgeable. This latter point is where I would have appreciated a little less formality and something more akin to a chat, as the servers instead jumped straight into explanations and descriptions that meant little to me as a novice fine diner. The food looked incredible, totally unique and visually appealing in every way. The attention to detail was fascinating to pick apart and the level of craftsmanship was clear to see. Every plate had multiple textures and sensations and the experience of this alone was worth it. The flavours I found less incredible and underwhelmed me a little from what I was maybe expecting to taste - but this is likely my lack of a trained pallet.

Well. Its nice concept of restaurant. But im actually quite disappointed. I know well enough of Asian dishes/ingredients and western also, i recognized that he wanted to give you experience of new ingredients and new mix of ingredients and also experiences but desserts itself were not so well mixed, i mean wasn’t tasty. All the taste played separately, it finally goes well when drink comes. Their welcome small finger food was total disappointment for me and my friend. And their main also. I only enjoyed their alcohol/cocktails selection. It was so brilliant. Service was good. I loved their plats and glasses and how they decorated each dishes. Each dishes were art pieces. I likes that head chef came out and explained the dishes but….overall im disappointed.

Best restaurants in Berlin, and top class overall. Each bite is special, and you just don't won't this meal to end. Worth every penny.

What a unique and delicious experience! The Idea of turning dishes into desserts is more then brilliant, but to make them taste so good, that's divine. From the flavors and looks of every dish, though the spotless professional service and to the story behind it all, we enjoyed every moment. Plus, we've loved the alcohol pairing, when every dish us escorted with a 20cc alcoholic cocktail that emphasize each dish flavors without getting you wasted - again, brilliant.

Awesome experience! We arrived at 22:30 pm for the 4-course menu. We took an appetizer and added a 5th course to the menu and the whole experience was great. There is a lot of attention to the design of each plate, which look like desert although they're a smart mix of salt & sugar. Staff was friendly as well. I'd recommend!

Coda is THE place to visit in Berlin. This is the most amazing dinning experience I’ve ever had . Between the insanely great courses (waffle and tomato being my favorite) and the service team who really does amazing job this was hands down a great experience. Also how cool is it that they show you the behind the scene of how they make their chocolate ! Thank you Coda for an amazing and unforgettable dinning experience:)
