Every mother to be’s Worst nightmare is to miscarry Her baby or to go into preterm labor. There have been many complications with the mother to be’s Pregnancy since the tea room was booked for her baby shower. The mom to be spent over two weeks in the hospital while the doctors frantically tried to keep the baby in the womb. We decided almost 2 weeks before the baby shower to alert Judy the manager of the tea room that we may have to postpone or cancel due to complications of the pregnancy. Judy was unwilling to work with us on rescheduling or refunding the $100 deposit. We decided since she was unwilling to refund us during this time of stress and concern for the baby… That we will gather some people and still go and have lunch at the tea room. The day before we were going to do so.... my father who booked the room with my mother had a heart attack and went to the hospital… So we were unable to go to the tea room and have lunch, utilizing the hundred dollars that Judy refused to get back. I call Judy Saturday morning the day of The initial booking… I explained to her all of the unfortunate life threatening situations that were preventing us from attending the baby shower. Judy was very ugly to me and said it was not her problem that we had all these things going on… That the rules are the rules & she simply wouldn’t budge. Not only was she sticking with the rules… But she was unsympathetic and extremely rude. When we asked for a copy of the written contract… They did not even have one made up… They typed one up in days later provided us with a new receipt that didn’t match what we had. For any mother could be looking to book this place for your baby shower… I highly suggest you look for someplace where the people running it care about whether or not you or your baby lives or dies!!! The level of callousness of this woman, Judy disgusts me and I surely hope nobody else experiences somebody taking advantage of them during such a difficult time.

This place is a hidden gem, my son took me for mother's day, and we both had the sampler and the tea of the day was peach.it was so yummy. They had a lady playing the piano and she was awesome. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was to dye for.And we walked through the antiques so much to see Can't wait to come back.

I have been coming to Simpliciteas for a little over a year. As a previous reviewer posted, this place is a hidden gem. The food is light and fresh and the service, until recently, A+. The service staff, from the hostess, waitresses, bussers, and kitchen are usually friendly and accommodating. I've bragged to my husband about this place and have been waiting for a moment when he and I could come together to enjoy an early Saturday afternoon lunch together. Our opportunity came yesterday, and I was sorely disappointed for him and for me. Our experience yesterday was not typical of my normal visit to Simpliciteas. I warned my husband that large parties were not unusual, but despite that, the staff was always attentive and friendly. Again, our experience yesterday left much to be desired. However; I was astute enough to see what was amiss. The servers did not have the usual team support that I observe when I've been there before. Everyone seemed to be on edge, almost fearful. Absent was the harmonious team play. Tables were left waiting for long periods of time; glasses were not refreshed; customers were not provided with menus after being seated and those of us that ordered were left waiting for a long without so much as an update or at least an apology or explanation. Two ladies that were seated behind us who came in shortly after we had come in, left. My husband and I considered leaving as well but decided to stick it out. When our food did finally arrive, almost 25 minutes later, we weren't disappointed; still, such a long wait and such unusually poor service was not the fault of the servers themselves. I would suggest to the owners to revisit their management practices and whom they leave in charge. Their attitude was less than friendly towards customers. If this persists, I will take my business to another tearoom in Fort Worth. Nevertheless, as we had no complaints about our food once it finally arrived, but due to the mismanagement and atypical service from a poorly managed weight staff, I have to give Simpliciteas 3 stars today.

I took 10 of my family to a girls day lunch and tea. Made reservations weeks in advance. The he food was great. However after eating lunch several wanted dessert we waited over 30 minutes for our server to come by finally went and ask for him as we were in a private area. He did finally come and take our order but we were told by the cashier you have to leave by 3:15 we explained we are waiting on our desserts we ordered and will leave as soon as we finish. We explained that we waited over 30 minutes on our server to come back to our private area only after we ask. Again we were told you have to be out by 3:15. Maybe just a bad day but found it unprofessional and a little rude considering we were waiting on our server. The team room was not full. Food great service not so great.

Perfect Tea Room fair. Fresh fruit and greens, flavorful soups and quiche, and a great atmosphere. There are no doubt many more fancy settings, but if you are just looking for a classy fresh lunch with little fanfare, this will hit the spot.

I can't recommend this Tea Room highly enough! Our ladies Bible study meets here for lunch several times a year for special occasions in the back area with the big table! The food is excellent and the staff are so kind and efficient always. Thanks for having us!

This place is very nice and gives a great atmosphere. The food is good I do wish there was more for the price. The fruit they serve for the kids is amazing and I often order me a side of it too! Their peach tea is great and not too sweet at all. Their jalapeno potato was lukewarm and not spicy to my taste. But the service is very personable. When they are busy expect to wait a bit to be seated and checked out. Will return again!

One of my favorite places for any meal! The food is always amazing and the staff are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Not only is it a unique atmosphere but the live music is beautiful. I know each time will be just as good, if not better, than the last.

*Hidden Gem* I had the sampler and added a side of egg salad so I could get a bit of everything. Quiche 5/5 •• I rarely have quiche but now it’s on ny radar! Chicken Salad 5/5 ••Simple & tasty Beef chili 5/5 ••A ton of flavor in that tiny bowl Fresh Fruit 5/5 ••• Kiwi, melon, raspberries, strawberries, grapes, an orange slice and all so fresh•• Egg Salad 5/5 Everything seasoned well, lovely textures I can’t wait to come back with my wife. I’m looking for something to nitpick, but it’s kind of hard… I will say that the server asked permission before taking trash that I set off to the side which was a bit funny… Just take it lol

Lovely place that I've been visiting for years. Nothing fancy but very tasty, often there's live piano. But bring back the white chocolate raspberry cake!
