I've lived here for 3 years and enjoy everything about living here. The complex is beautiful, peaceful and extremely well maintained, inside and out. Everyone I've dealt with in the office has been extremely helpful and friendly. All maintenance calls I've placed have been taken care of the same day. Hector and Vinny are the best! My apartment was brand new when I moved in and I have never heard any noise coming from the adjacent apartments. I've rented from the owners of this complex in the past and can attest they care about their properties and the wellbeing of their tenants.

I moved to Canal Crossing almost three and a half years ago. I have been very happy living here. My apartment is luxurious, including: granite counters, stainless steel appliances, high ceilings, ample closets, central air. The grounds are maintained beautifully. There are wonderful amenities (heated salt water pool, exercise facility, hammocks, fire pits ). I feel safe walking my dog here, even late at night. Several community events are held annually where residents are provided food and drinks, live music and the opportunity to meet and socialize with our neighbors. Maintenance goes above and beyond to resolve whatever issues arise. The leasing office is responsive and friendly. The management truly cares about our comfort. I recently had an issue and management responded to my concerns promptly. Canal Crossing feels like a community !

We have lived at Canal Crossing for the past year and have loved it! The community offers terrific amenities, including a heated saltwater pool that remains open past Labor Day. The management team is very helpful and nice. The grounds are beautiful and a wonderful escape after a long day of work. The apartment units themselves are brightly lit, spacious, and well equipped. The maintenace team responds to and helps address any concerns in a timely manner. In summary: We have lived in a lot of apartment communities over the years, and Canal Crossing is by far our favorite!

The best support stuff in the building, Maintance and management, they are fast to reply to emergencies , clean, wonderful tenants families and young professionals. I’m still living here and honestly I don’t want to move out. The apartments are new and the amenities are going to come in handy specially when you have either dog or a child.. you can walk and run around the property at all times it’s very safe. Next to all the important markets too. Thank you Canal Crossing for all your hard work. Sam

Great place. I can definitely see myself staying for the duration of my schooling. However, there is a silverfish problem. I'm not sure if this was the cause of the previous renters, but it is a nuisance. It would be nice if I didn't have to kill 2 of them every night, but the apartment is otherwise perfect. I do recommend living here.

I have been a resident since 2018, and have been pleased to be here. The office staff, managers, and maintenance workers have all been very professional and supportive of my concerns when called upon. Would recommend Canal Crossing at Whitneyville.

Wonderful place to live, I could not recommend this place enough for anyone. Especially Yale students, it’s not too far from campus, but you get the best of both worlds. It has a suburban atmosphere, but it’s not too far from campus. Also, it’s close to Hamden Plaza, and a lot of different stores and shops on Dixwell Avenue.

The apartments themselves are very nice and the location is great. That said, their website claims that the complex has EV chargers, which they don’t (EDIT- website has been updated after this review was posted). When I confronted the office about the website saying this, I was met with indifference and that they were considering having them installed. That was almost a year ago and the website hasn’t been updated. I was effectively bait and switched with an alternative of an individual garage that happened to have a charger installed (probably someone else who signed the lease trusting that the landlord wasn’t lying on the website… whoops). Again, nice apartments, great location, I wouldn’t blame someone for wanting to live there- but I wanted to point out that they flat-out don’t care about honestly portraying the complex on the website. EDIT- apparently I was mistaken about the bocce court, it is there, review has been corrected. The website has also been updated to accurately the charging stations available, also noted above. As a reply to CC management, I already moved out for a few reasons, most not related to the complex. I only posted this to warn potential future tenants. I appreciate that you intended to install the chargers and it didn’t work out, but the website didn’t give any context that they were being installed or planned, it was listed as if they were already an amenity. That’s false advertising, full stop, and it was going on since the complex opened- and yes, I checked. If me posting this was the impetus to finally properly update the website after over five years of false advertising, cool, I guess.
