Nice place inside and outside. Can be interesting for that who knows or is interested in story of swastika in Finland - it used since 1920 in Suomi (Army, Navy, Air Force) and is not "German idea". This is the real history of Finland and just respect it!

This is an excellent museum. I recommend anyone who has an interest in Finnish military history to visit here. It covers the complete spectrum on Finnish history with well ordered and thorough displays. I especially like the display of Finnish creativity in tackling seemingly unsolvable issues.

A very large and interesting museum full of history. We didn’t even manage to see everything before closing time!

Aivan loistavasti järjestetty näyttely. Näyttely eteni kronologisesti ja materiaalia oli runsaasti esillä. Esittely lähti ruudin tulosta eurooppaan ja päättyi moderneihin aikoihin. Suuri osa materiaalista oli tykistön kalustoa ja muuta materiaalia. Pioneerit ja viesti olivat myös edustettuina kuten muutkin aselajit pienemmissä määrin. Myös rauhanturvaajilla ja sotilassoittokunnilla oli pienet osuutensa. Ulkoalueilla vielä runsaasti lisää etenkin tykkikalustoa, mutta myös ajoneuvoja.

Oma varusmies aika tuli vietettyä tässä paikassa. Museo tarjoaa hienon läpileikkauksen itsenäisen Suomen ase-arsenaalista. Paikassa on myös kahvila ja matkamuistomyymälä. Tykkihallia voi vuokrata juhlien pitopaikaksi, suosittelen käyntiä👍🏻👍🏻🐴

Spread between buildings on multiple floors and outside yards for heavy artillery. Buying a combo ticket with castle and Prison museum will cost you 19 Eur, and needs to be purchased at the castle. If buying a separate Artillery museum, it costs 10Eur Adult price. Knowing Finnish History and its wars will help you enjoy the museum. If you lack that knowledge and are not familiar with Ammunition in general it will be just a stroll.

Interesting museum of Finnish military history with a large exhibit space on three floors and outside.

Nice museum if you are into artilleries and history. There were also some really cool optical telegraph models, as well as other very interesting communication equipment.

I'm not usually interested in military, but taking time to explore this museum opened my eyes to the fact that war exists and artillery was used in those battles. The machines used were fascinating to look at up close and to touch some of the old cannons and equipment made me feel like I was transported back in time to an Era when these war machines, equipment, and artillery were used. It was a sobering experience.

This is a very good place to learn about the military history of Finland and many wars it was involved in. There is a lot of information about infantry, signal engineers and artillery in each of the periods if you are into the details but it has a lot of good overview as well.

The extensive indoor exhibition space is packed with interest, which is coupled with lots of information. I was particularly impressed with the number of artillery pieces and specialist vehicles outside all next-door to the historic Häme Castle. I particularly liked it in the atmospheric winter weather!

Very nice Finnish army history and items.

Very interesting, even for someone who isn't really interested in military matters. The history of Finland was described wonderfully. However, the translations into English seemed to stop on the second floor! Very friendly lady at reception.
