Worth the trip! Located in Hamilton, NJ with plenty of parking and beautiful grounds to explore. Of course the main attraction is the various sculptures of various sizes. The grounds are mostly flat and easy to navigate. Several restaurants on site but two were completely closed when we visited and the other was closed for a wedding. A small cafe with ice cream, water, and limited snacks was open but they ran out of most choices by 4pm. The large sculptures are sturdy and mostly touchable so supervised children can enjoy the art without being constantly told not to touch. There are a few air-conditioned galleries with restrooms so if you visit on a hot day, find them for a break from the sun.

For a cute spot to take tons of cool pictures and see some art work in sculpture form, this is the spot. Lots to see and do for the entire family. I’d recommend going in spring or fall. When we went it was 90 degrees F and was fun but we sweat a lot. There was decent amount of shade throughout the grounds which was nice. There is conjoined restaurant which could increase your time at the grounds. It’s definitely photo spot. The grounds has multiple cafes to relax in and tons of cool stuff to look at from different exhibits on display. Probably spend 2.5 -4 hours here. No picnic area to bring outside food, but I would suggest bringing a small snack, and water bottle. Reservation online isn’t required but it does save you more time, as you can just start adventuring once you park your car.

The grounds are amazing and the night show was absolutely amazing. My kids loved this experience and we cannot wait to go back in the spring to see the gardens and sculptures during the day and enjoy the restaurant

A great place to spend time with the whole family. Been here twice. And twice there were very few people here, which gave us the feeling that we were alone in the park and it was all made especially for us. Great idea and great execution of the artistic concept. Very beautiful!!! I recommend.

What a lovely and interesting place to visit! The grounds are beautiful and sculptures of various kinds adorn the landscape. Some are tucked away and appear as a scene from a story. Others are large and bold, making statements. The human figures were so realistic. On occasion, my husband and I had to do a double take. It was unanimous that we would return and spend a little more time on the premises since there were quiet places in which we could sit and take in the scenery. There were various other buildings on the grounds containing art and instruction. Informational videos and various works of art were also present in the entrance hall. We came on a weekday and it was not crowded. The entrance fee was reasonable. A gift shop, small café, and restrooms were available, as well as ample parking. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

This past Monday was such beautiful weather. I didn't want to go home just yet and so my boyfriend, daughter and I decided to go here. It was very beautiful, and I loved the fact that we could freely roam using their GPS map. There were volunteers spread around and telling stories behind the art pieces. I learned so much about the artists and their purpose with the art. It is very family friendly and romantic too. They have a French restaurant called Rats and it has the best view of the water with the Koi fishes. My anniversary is coming up, Rats would be a great romantic spot to celebrate. I will be coming back, they have a night event coming up on November 24 and I would love to see this place at night time.

From the city, it takes about an hour a train & a bus: NJ transit. Lovely place to visit. Lots of trees, plants, flowers, sculptures & statues, from classical to modernistic. Beautiful lotus blossoms where you can buy ice cream & water. Outside seating only. 2 places for snacks with garden setting & 1 restaurant: Rats. Gift shop on site. Can rent mobile chairs & parking available. Affordable prices for admission & food. Great place to spend a day.

I could spend days walking around these grounds. One of the best art museums I have ever been to. Highly recommend. Get there early because there is so much to see you will want to stay longer than expected. Great for art enthusiasts, photographers, family friendly. Well worth the visit and membership.

A beautiful outdoor place to spend a sunny day. Well maintained paths, huge sculptures. Some are more easy to understand then the others 😀 Perfect place to bring your children, it is free for children under 5. Purchase the tickets in advance, because the timed tickets are usually sold out by the time you arrive at the gate, especially on weekends. The paths are intertwining, better use the gfsmaps.org to know where you're going. It's worth to go after dark, because the The place is connected to the Rats restaurant, which is a bit pricey.

Such a pretty, picture perfect place!! We visited last weekend and spring has to be the best time to visit grounds for sculpture. Prior, timed reservations are recommended on weekends and we purchased the tickets online (priced at 25$ per person). We saw intricate sculptures, peacocks, beautiful flowers and all kinds of birds!! We spent about 2.5 hours in the entire park, going into all the nooks and corners so as to not miss any sculptures! Make sure you visit the lake, it's so serene! Parking is free and the cafe inside the main visitor centre had some good sandwiches, salads and drink options for us tired souls after all the walking! I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

Was there today for about 3 hours and we did not see all of it, so we will return! Absolutely exquisite! A surprise at every turn! The grounds are gorgeous and so well maintained. The staff at the Welcome desk were very nice too! Overall we had a lovely day and plan on returning soon!

I just love visiting here! So much to explore on the grounds. This could be a botanical garden, there are so many plants and trees along with all the sculptures. Currently, timed tickets are required for entry. Buying on the website was easy.

This is such a beautiful sculpture garden with very cool art pieces. As you keep going you start to recognize which artist made which piece. I highly recommend it as a fun outing especially as a family activity. The greenery is pretty too!

This was my second time visiting Grounds for Sculpture, and I have to say it's a much nicer time visiting in the spring rather than winter. The flowers were all blooming and beautiful, and we had perfect weather walking around. Tickets at the time we went were $25 each for an adult, but it's easy to find a discount code if you search Google for it. We ended up spending $18 in total for two adults. We spent maybe three hours walking around. Wear comfy shoes. :D

"Night forms" is a great place for family, friends and kids to explore the wonders of art and nature. Each sculpture that's accessible to the event are lit with different designs and colors with funky music along the way. The areas are in full darkness besides the areas with some specific sculptures. Highly recommend going both during the day and at night on separate occasions, as there's a lot of sculptures that are not lit but you can really see them better in broad daylight. Be aware also, those human sculptures are spooky at night! There are wheel chair accessible areas as most paths are dirt paths so do be careful. Free parking is available around the welcome center and there's more parking behind that building as well. You can explore different parts of the park that have a treehouse and different bridges you can walk over. Benches and tables are placed all around the park in case anyone needs a quick break from walking but this is definitely a spot you can waste your time in.

An amazingly wonderful experience. Bring the family. Our stroller wheels were flat, and the staff was kind enough to fill them up. There are so many nooks and pathways with surprises around every corner. Be sure to visit the cafe for a look at the starry night ceiling and check out the gift shop for unique momentous and classical gifts. The staff was friendly, polite, and accommodating. Don't pass up an opportunity to visit this New Jersey gem. We'll be back!

Wear your walking shoes and get there early. There is so much to see! The gardens meander from small hilltops to big meadows or tree lined paths through the woods. All paths are large enough for strollers. I loved the quaint waterways with 1800-turn of the century recreations, so detailed. The cafe is very affordable and you can order a picknick basket ahead of time to enjoy on the grounds. The restaurant, while lovely in an English cottage, is pricey. Worth the trip, even more because they switch out the statues from time to time. We went on Mother's day. Even though there were many people there, they stagger the entry times (buy your tickets in advance) so no one was on top of each other.

This experience was a real treat! Lots of scaling up as there was no shortage of pieces to peruse inside the many sites on the grounds. It was great to travel through the artists life journey, experiences, piece evolutions and views. I felt the highs and lows of the artist, became a key observer in history and stepped in and out of well known art pieces becoming a live medium! Come prepared for the weather as it can get a bit nippy and that can interfere with the experience. There is a charming restaurant on the grounds which you should reserve a spot prior to visit. Come with your phone fully charged for pictures and as there is no paper maps they have a interactive map online that you can follow. The light show looks dazzling I didn't have the pleasure of viewing as my hands were so cold I couldn't feel them. I will have to go back again, it was a magical, inspirational trip I loved every bit!!

Went here with my wife, son-in-law and his mom. Had a fabulous time walking around the grounds exploring. Lots of interesting pieces of art in obvious places. However, the real surprises are off the beaten paths. Be prepared to wonder off the main pathways to find numerous pieces of sculpture hidden in secret gardens throughout the grounds. Even ran into several peacocks (real) on the grounds. Well worth the trip. Free and plentiful parking and reasonably priced for hours of fun. Need to reserve an admission time which helps keep down overcrowding.

Beautiful place with lot of exhibits and sculptures. Take enough time to visit the place else you might miss some of the sculptures. It took us around 3-4 hours to roam around.. make sure to look into trees off tracks, you might get some of the best sculptures..

Excellent experience in a relaxing and idyllic setting. Every path leads to an unexpected, pleasant surprise. A great combination of horticulture & art. A minimum of 2-3 hours to begin exploring, but it's a great half day trip! Definitely worth the experience!

This is a great place to spend a beautiful day! Pricing is fair and the grounds are extremely roomy! It's so much fun to look at the beautiful art and take in the sights! You'll get plenty of wonderful photos and have memories that will last a lifetime! If you're a local, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out a few times a year, as there is always something new! They also have a gift shop with tons of cute unique items! Their Van Gogh coffee shop is also well themed and delicious!

They have timed tickets that need to be purchased online only. We were able to order them online while we had lunch at Rat's Restaurant. There was a wedding reception at Rat's which was beautifully decorated. Honestly we thought it would be a nice walk after eating but couldn't believe how huge the grounds actually were. We didn't have nearly enough time to spend exploring it. Will definitely go back when we have more time to spend and see the other 1/2 if not more we didn't see.

Thorough enjoyed this visit. One could easily spend an entire day there. The sculptures are very realistic and well positioned. It reminds me a little of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The mist effect was really nice. The benches provided areas to stop and take in surroundings. We especially enjoyed the sculptures on the bus ride from the station to the Sculpture park. The only thing for us was the exorbitant prices at the Van Gogh cafe (only 1 open)... I mean $2 for a banana?! Really?! I don't agree with that... We did purchase the spinach and ricotta pie for $5 each... didn't do much to ease hunger but it was tasty. Customer service throughout was great. Nice day out, highly recommended.

This place is incredible! Definitely bring a lunch with you and plan to spend a while there. Get there early because the wait can be long later in the day. I never really considered myself into art but I really enjoyed walking around here!

What a great place for the price. This was a very fun day trip adventure for my girlfriend and I. All the work here was extremely interesting and the whole place is decently sized. It became a little crowded around noon but there were so many spots you can escape to it almost felt like there was hardly any one there at moments. Would recommend to anyone just looking for a good outdoorsy type time whether in a group or alone!

We enjoy a good sculpture park. And "Grounds for Sculpture" is DEFINITELY that. It is well laid out and very open. As you tour the grounds, there is so much to see that every corner of the grounds, you look forward to being in awe of the next sculpture.

Beautiful place with fantastic exhibits. Some of the sculptures tricked me into thinking they were real people. There is a fantastic exhibit about Philadelphia protest props in one of the buildings. Make sure your phone is fully charged for all the photos. Food in the restaurant was ok but not really worth the price. The cafe patio was worth buying a coffee and a cookie just to sit by the water.

Pretty nice to walk through on a nice day. Nice water views as well as the restaurant, Rats, nearby has yummy food. They have a cafe inside the building for coffee and small sandwiches and snacks. Not super packed. You can find some peacocks hanging around too.

We had perfect weather. It was not too hot and there was a nice breeze. The place is very well kept with lots of different sculptures to look at and they are scattered throughout their 40 acres. We were there for 4 hours and still did not see everything. The only thing I think needs to be changed is the fact that they don't give you a map and the one online is very difficult to view both because of the size and the sun shining on it. The other problem is how the cafe is run. There were long lines that could have been avoided if handled differently. All in all it is a great place to visit.

Found this place by accident while visiting the Princeton war memorial. This place was amazing. Such a big park. I didn't even have time to see the entire ground so I plan on going back. I recommend going during the week. On a day that's not too hot. It's a wonderful walk. So many beautiful things to see.

One of my favorite places IN THE WORLD... And I have traveled to many beautiful places. I will return here as much as I can and share it with as many people as I can until the day I am no longer able. I have been visiting since I was a teenager and it is always evolving so it is never the same experience twice... Also because it is HUGE and shows in the galleries change too. A must see. Period.

This place was AWESOME! it was interesting, cool and a beautiful day out. A different sculpture around every corner. The peeing girl (picture 2) was my favorite because it was so unexpected. I wouldn't have noticed it if my husband didn't say something. Then The sculptures of the painters painting the scenery. So interesting. The only disappointment was that rat's was not open. But that wasn't their fault it was closed Mondays n Tuesdays at this time of year. We will def be back. Not to be missed. And the peacocks roaming the parking lot.... Omgoodness so cool.

Really cool sculptures and exhibits and also free 1 hour walking tours with a docent. Be sure to make it over to the Meadows for the very large sculptures. Would love to see in the Spring when everything is in bloom.

Getting the night time passes is a must! The light sculptures were so cool and trippy. They had some interactive parts of the park too! They have a cafe and a restaurant there too. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear because of all the walking and gravel paths. Check out the gift shop!

So glad a place like this exist! To find a sculpture museum you'd think you'd need to travel to NYC. This place is massive! So much ground to walk and stretch out your legs. I only came to see this place because my daughter loves art. She's so into drawing and building things that when I saw she was old enough to appreciate this trip, I took the chance and I'm glad I did. Although the place is kid friendly, I have to make it clear, there's a lot of walking involved. I made a good decision of not taking my 6 year old that day. If your kids are used to hiking than it might not be an issue, but the idea is to stop and appreciate each piece of sculpture. If your kid isn't into art, you might not want to have them tag along. They do have a cafe that offers sandwiches and sweets. You'll be able to purchase coffee (iced and hot), tea and I do believe lemonade and whatever other cold beverage they have available for that day. There is also a restaurant within the grounds, but I didn't use their services so I can't say anything on how their services are. Overall, staff is super friendly and approachable. I have to say, this place is awesome for pictures. I don't want to give too much away as I think people should visit and experience this place for themselves. It really is worth visiting at least once. You won't be disappointed.

This place is absolutely amazing! The landscaping is gorgeous and lends itself to a meandering series of discoveries. It is delightful to be able to actually walk around 3D representations of classic paintings. Everywhere there is beauty and magic and I absolutely love it here.

  • 5/5 Dheer G. 1 year ago on Google
I went as a group so the price was a little cheaper than normal. Once inside the premise of the area, it felt like I was in a different world. The sculptures ranged from abstract to portraits to a room that was functional but everything was painted. The exhibits and pathways are all very nice, and the views of the lake and the sculptures all Sum for a great experience. There's even a place where you can try using sculpting techniques to make your own sculptures, and once done you can have lunch which is surrounded by beautiful scenery, a waterfall and a pond.

  • 4/5 Vaibhavi S. 1 year ago on Google
Pleasant place to acknowledge and praise the sculptures and it’s beauty. Creativity at its best. Perfect for a day out with friends and family. They have entry tickets that needs to be done online. $20 if you want to enter until 3:00 pm and $12 after 5:00 pm. They sometimes allow to enter early if you have ticket for the late entry.
