Very sad experience as the restaurant turned away two very clean cut polite men as one of us wasn’t wearing the proper shoe attire (open toed Birkenstocks).However, a flock of women wearing only open toed shoes was permitted in just following us. When I questioned this to the staff the answer was “well they are women!”. Apparently this rule only applies to men. Feeling very dissatisfied and overall sad experience. What was to be a fun evening turned into having to taxi 30 minutes away to a different restaurant after having commuted extensively to arrive. If Check the dress code gents! If equal rights is important to you I strongly suggest to question if you wish to dine at this establishment. :(

Waterlot a wonderful and unique dining experience, from the 5 star service to the beautiful rustic atmosphere! They have a great selection of cocktails, whiskey, wine and the menu is exquisite!

Totally duped! We were expecting a decent meal at the very least considering all the excellent reviews. What we got was at best ordinary. Everything was bland from the hollandaise sauce to the wasabi accompaniment to the tuna in the trio dish, which was some sort of concoction barely tasting of anything. We eat out a lot and try to hit the best spots while on vacation. Our server was a nice guy and we tried to make the best of it but left saying wow how does this place get such rave reviews. We felt it necessary to speak up! Go to Tom Moore’s Tavern instead for both a superb dining experience and a delicious meal, they know what they are doing.

Great food, albeit it came out cold. However, the manager and owner of the restaurant were very responsive to our complaints. Staff was friendly.

Had a wonderful dinner with the family. For apps we had the steak tartar, tuna crude and foie gras. All were fantastic although for foie gras lovers we would prefer the pate over grilled. The lamb chops were perfect. Boys had the tomahawk ribeye for two which was cooked perfectly med rare. Overall great experience. Definitely an expensive dinner but the service was great along with the food so well worth it.

Definitely amazing place. My appetiser was underwhelming but the main made up for everything. The cocktails were good as well. I love the decor and ambiance but I feel for the price, I can eat at a Michelin rated restaurant instead.

Grate food, grate services

We visited this beautiful restaurant for our 31st anniversary. The food was delectable, the ambience enjoyable, and the staff very attentive. Daisy and Joy especially went out of their way to accommodate our return trip to Grotto Bay, even running with us over to the bus stop to ensure we got there in time! Outstanding personal service!

Best service by far on the island that I have witnessed, definitely worth a visit. Our waiter was very accommodating and made us feel extremely welcomed. I loved the food and was amazed by the quality of the lobster. This place is on the pricey side but overall I think it is worth it. Huge bonus was that the cocktails were cheaper than in Jasmine at the Fairmont, and they were more delicious.

Delicious food, great staff, beautiful restaurant and location

Before closing in 2020, this restaurant, located at 183 Middle Rd was one of the best in Bermuda. We made it a point to visit this restaurant during our annual visits to Bermuda. Alas, the future of this great restaurant is tied to the future of the Fairmont Southampton which may never reopen.

Good food once they get it right. Manager was terrific to solve any issues.

Honestly, Bermuda is not the place to go for food.

We had high hopes for our return to the Waterlot but were disappointed. No Caesar salad available which was terrific last year. Then remaining dishes were good but not outstanding. Service however was great as we expected. Given prices though we will think twice before returning. Too bad but things do change.

Part of the Fairmont Southampton estate, this excellent steakhouse is housed in a 17th century waterfront property that was once an inn. Full of old world charm, and stocked with an extensive wine cellar, this is one of the best fine dining experiences Bermuda has to offer.

I was fortunate enough to eat at the Waterlot Inn twice- I went back for the second time after I realized this isn’t just the best restaurant on the island but maybe the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The people that work here are pure class- I’m not sure I have ever experienced more hospitality. The table side Caesar salad was the best of the best. There isn’t an entree on the menu that won’t blow you away. Finally, the snickers bar... words can’t do it justice. Just order it.
