Great rooftop atmosphere and great bar area on the first floor. This resturant has 3 floors with the rooftop. The servers were super nice and thecfood was delicious.

The food was great! The buffalo chicken dip and hash brown squares were fantastic. The pimento burger and chicken salad wrap were delicious. This place was a wonderful find! Recommend! Also, best to place a reservation as the main floor is first come first serve ( some people hang around for quite a while) reservations are for the second floor.

My first time dining here was with a group from work. We had a party of 11 and were seated on the second floor. The seating options were only on the first and second floor when we were there. They also have seating options on the roof, but due to it being wet, the roof seating was closed. We had several appetizers. My favorite was the spicy shrimp, and the pretzels with beer cheese were a close runner-up. I had the pimento cheeseburger, and it was also delicious!

We had a couple of friends suggest this place, so we thought we'd give it a go. It definitely didn't disappoint! Since the rooftop was closed, we sat at the bar. The bartender was great and very informative. Told us all about the restaurant and the beers. Gave us great suggestions for drinks and the menu. We tried some beer flights so we could get a good taste of several kinds and the "Big Blue Lemondade" YUM 😋 We started with the Fretboard Vlad Beer Cheese with veggies & pretzels, which was very good. He opted for the "Meat Loaf," and I got the "Fish & Chips" and both were hot & delicious and I loved the house made tarter sauce. The bartender actually gave him a side of Mac & cheese as well because someone mistaken ordered it, and why not! LOL. He enjoyed that as well. We'll definitely go back, especially once the rooftop is open to check out the view.

Great place for casual eats. They have an upstairs seated area as well and we were seated there in the corner by a window for dinner. We also had lunch there earlier the same day on the first level although found that area to be noisier at night. Great burger (ask to substitute blue cheese for the white American cheese), good fish and chips (three decent size pieces of fish) and good crinkle fries. The sweet potato fries are good as well. Good selection of beers, but no NA beers available, which was disappointing. If this review is helpful to you, please click Helpful below.

Rooftop was aces, but service was just a little slow (so the food came out a little cold). That being said, nice staff, the food looked and tasted good, and they make some really decent beer. Hoping to go back when it's a little slower/quieter and see how it compares. Worth checking out, though!

A really unique place in this area with a great view. The loaded hash brown squares and burgers were amazing and there is a good selection of beer and wine also.

Delicious food and beer! Did a flight and loved the cowbell and Janis. The pork tostadas were also very good, lots of meat and the shell even held up! Rooftop seating with a view over the river makes for a relaxing meal.

What a find. The Fretboard was outstanding. Great selection of beers. Appetizers were awesome. I recommend the Tostada's Carnitas. The mix of flavors and a bit of heat made it a favorite. We had the Cajun Chicken sandwich which was tasty and juicy, the Pub Burger which was stacked high and cooked well, and the Fish and Chips which is some of the best I've eaten. We had the brownie for dessert which was dense and chocolatey served with vanilla ice cream. We can't wait for a reason to go back to Hamilton to eat at The Fretboard.
