Historic little shop producing bambalounies for decades! There are two shops, the « original » one is on the left when facing them. On the other side very good sandwiches for only 4 dinars

Bambalouni is a popular Tunisian snack made from fried dough. It's often enjoyed with a dusting of powdered sugar or drizzled with honey. This delectable treat can be found in local markets, cafes, and households, offering a delightful taste of Tunisian cuisine.

Great place to grab a snack when you're in Sidi Bou Saïd! Bambalounis are 1DT each if only dusted with sugar, and 2DT if with a chocolate & hazelnut spread. ☺☺

Even tho you can find Bambalouni wherever you go in Tunisia, all over the country yet it tastes really different in Sidi Bou Saïd! Which is something I can’t explain, it’s the best here

The place makes one of the best bambalonis in Tunisia. I love the fresh doughnut fried front of me. I tried both coated in sugar and chocolate. Both are so yummy but bring your wet wipes if you are doing the chocolate one

The Bambalouni at Sidi Bou Said is a hidden gem in the heart of this picturesque village. Their Tunisian traditional cake, known as Bambalouni, is simply delightful, light on the palate, and offers excellent value for money. It's the perfect place to savor this treat while strolling through the charming village of Sidi BouSaid. A must-visit for Tunisian cuisine enthusiasts!
