The splash pad is awesome, the equipment is definitely for older kids. Great park, no mosquitos

This is a nice park if you live within walking distance of if you are looking for a bike/skate park ramps then it might even be worth a drive. But for most people if you have to drive to this place you may be better off going to wicker park because this place isn’t very big and the swings will get taken up quickly. Wicker park also has a better splash pad that is free for i think lake county or maybe indiana residents some people have to pay. We live in Hammond and they don’t charge us for the splash pad. So this is just a really awesome local neighborhood park… not a destination.

Great, quiet, peaceful park. There is a roller skating/skateboard rink inside this park that is well maintained. Trash cans appear to be emptied often and are plentiful. Parking lots and grass were free of debris. The morning that I visited, parking spots were readily available (including multiple handicapped openings) and were clearly marked. There is even fresh, colored mulch around the base of trees. I felt safe in this park, walking my dog and enjoying the near-autumn breeze under a shade tree. Overall this park is very well maintained and is a fine Hessville facility.

Played at this park before the Mexican Independence Day Parade. My son is almost 2yrs old and he loved the park and the splash pad. It was too cold to play in the water but I liked the set up and that it's FREE. I liked the rubber flooring and that the equipment was suitable for him.

Fun for the children, relaxing for the adults. We live around the corner from the park, so the children goes all the time. They love the splash pad. The park can use more shaded areas tho and the splash pad can use an upgrade as the water doesn't shoot out like it us to.

This is a great park! Soft floor under playground, splash park, skate park, sun shades and bathrooms. You could stay all day! Picnic tables and water fountains. Splash area was clean and the water smells faintly like chlorine so you know the water was clean too. Very fun day.

Everything is very well done and lots of fun. The only thing that bothers me is when people bring their dogs and leave their dogs poop near/on the park. Please pick up after your pets!

Sad they can put lights on the whole park except for anywhere near the skating park which is more than dark. Dangerous and useless with no lights. Add lights. The park is also hardly built correct. Only looks cool/nice. Wrong arcs, fast and dangerous and small. Like nobody cares.

Great place to take the kids on a hot summer day. Playground, splash pad to cool off in and a nice skate park. Plenty of room to have a picnic and a covered area with tables.

Excellent park. I'm a skater and this skate park is top tier. Hammond does a really good job catering to the people. Very nice.

Decent modern skatepark. Clean with facilities nearby. Quick access from I-80. Easy parking. Doesn't seem like it gets a ton of use from locals.

Decent park. Some pretty cool modern upgrades. The baseball field needs some love though. My kids enjoy it here and it's cool watching the kids skateboard.
