The Blue Tangerine In Hampstead was the worst experience by the owner!!!!!!! I made an appointment for my daughter for a haircut who is 10. I checked the online prices, which went up 28.95. So I go in and ask if the wash is included she says of course. I told her several times she needs a good trim but due to her super curly frizzy hair it can’t be to short I want it to not sit on her shoulders. I said I want it to be near her shoulder. She said ok. I said because she needs to wear it up and it gets really frizzy when it’s short. After several times she said ok I looked and she said u mind if I texture which she just layered it. I said ok and at no point did she say it’s 10.00 more and I didn’t ask because never, not even myself have gotten an extra charge of 10.00 to layer and she should of said it specially since that she is the owner!!! Let’s just say its above her shoulders, I can’t put it up and it’s super frizzy and puffy!!!! I know it will grow but I’m upset!!! Not only the part of not being up front about it, but my daughter has her last father daughter dance this Saturday!! I just want to warn everyone to ask even if u think it’s a crazy question and it was not even a good job, specially with curly hair or listening to directions. My daughter is sad, which makes me sad and I’ll never go there ever again!!!!!!!!

Carol has been Terrific! And also her Spectacular staff of very talented stylists are very spot on in knowing just what you are looking for whether you want to try a new color or a new cut! Every time I set up personal “Hair time” for myself & that’s not always easy with my busy schedule, they always are very flexible & make a effort to fit you in! My 11yr son old also gets the Best cut too! Very warm atmosphere & relaxing. No other place will do for us! I highly recommend The Bleu Tangerine!

Carol has such a great attitude and really listened. I am one who does not blow dry or style daily. I also do not dye my hair to cover grays on a strict schedule. Carol gave me the best cut to meet my needs! After a wash and air dry my hair now has volume and a beachy wave! Super easy! She also highlighted to cover the gray and make grow out and roots less noticeable. Perfect for me! Definitely worth the time price and effort!

My first experience at Bleu Tangerine was great! My stylist Loretta was very outgoing, hardworking, and attentive throughout the long duration of my appointment. I absolutely love my hair and how accommodating the staff was- they really listen to their clients and want them to be happy. Everyone who works there seems genuinely friendly and I look forward to going back in a few more weeks.

I have been going to Bleu Tangerine for ten years. I think the place is absolutely immaculate, they have a new ventilation system, which totally purifies the air, and they are the sweetest people to work with. I get my hair colored and highlighted by Carol, the owner, and she is amazing, the color gets compliments at least every day, and people notice the shininess of it. Her training is in NYC and she trains all her employees with the utmost of care. You get everything you pay for here...... I would highly recommend this salon, and the only way I knew about it was that I had an awful perm by another person, and Carol fixed it. Love Bleu Tangerine. They really care about their customers!!!

This was the best haircut experience I've ever had! Not only did I get a wonderful haircut, but I also learned about the best way to treat and style my hair (tips I haven't received before). This was my first time going to blue tangerine, and I had a phenomenal experience. The staff is so open and welcoming. I highly recommend the senior stylist Loretta. Not only did she offer great advice about how to treat my hair, but she also created a warm and comforting environment. She even showed me how to best style my new haircut and gave my exactly what I asked for - she truly understands different hair types. The salon also offers apprenticeships to new-comer stylists which shows how committed they are to training experienced and knowledgeable cosmeticians. Props to this wonderful small town salon.
