**Get a parking permit cause non resident pays 400 dollars** Other than that! It's a beautiful beach, can't believe it really, i thought all beaches in NY are like not paradise beaches however this one made that statement truly false. The water was pristine, it was clear, it was blue, not a lot of seaweed, not a lot of foam. People are very respectful of your space. Like throw the disc awayyyy from everyone reading books and bathing in the sun. Its really chill, quaint, quiet. You can ultimately decompress here and just reflect. Dip your toes in the sand, go into the water (the current was strong, be careful of undertoes) and just Reeelax. Highly recommend coming here. Also take good photos ;)

Clean white sand. Plenty parking area. $30/day parking. Clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Ladies room had about 4 changing rooms. 4 total Showers outside. Bathroom closes at 5pm. Lifeguards on site but they leave at 5pm. Long shoreline, beautiful. The day I went was sunny but windy so ocean was wavy. Watch the wind forecast. I recommend all beaches along that coastline. Minimum seaweeds on the shore. Clean shore.

First time there, during the pandemic. At first I was really impressed The water was a little dirty but we enjoyed it anyway. The only problem I had is with the people who were sitting all over each other with absolutely NO SOCIAL DISTANCING! It’s extremely important during this time and unfortunately my bf and I had to move twice because people were all over our space. I mean, there are so many signs for keeping up with the social distancing, and still people don’t Follow it.

Best beach in The Hamptons! A group of 12 nurses took a long weekend and escaped from city life; all of us needed exactly what this beach offered which was tranquillity. Bathrooms were very clean, on and off ramp were easily accessible as well.

    - Very busy but attractive location - $30 day Parking pass (8/2023). Parking lot is next to beach but full by 11.30pm at weekends - good showers - pavilion food is way overpriced. Recommend bringing a full cooler. -bathrooms are clean but heavily used by end of day and close at 4.30pm -lots of surfers

Nice beach but bathrooms were locked on a beautiful Saturday in the early afternoon. Nowhere else nearby to go. Not cool. Are dog supposed to be leashed? Because a few weren't and I didn't see signage. Lovely place to hang out as long as you're cool squatting behind a dune when nature calls and aren't scared of unleashed dogs. It's fun watching the surfers.

Great beach, clean and well maintained. $30 for parking day pass for non-residents. Food is relatively over-priced. Restrooms open till 4:55pm and lifeguard on duty until 5pm.

Love this beach so much all year round, except when the biting flies are out and about lol Must have a resident sticker till 9pm during beach season or pay $25 bucks for the day to park. If you don't, you'll be ticketed over and over again by the bay constable until you move your car, unlike other places in the city where you can remain parked once you get a ticket. So be warned! One really annoying thing is that people bring their dogs during off hours and some will bury their dogs waste in the sand instead of picking it up... If you're gonna own a dog... Own all of it, people!!! Still this beach has some awesome sand and great views of the ocean, amazing sunsets and equally beautiful full moon and stars view at night too! Multiple parking areas but one central area with spaces for bikes and electric cars and life guards and a hot and cold food shack with shower and bathroom facilities that was all rebuilt last year and looks beautiful..

It's a clean sand beach with attentive lifeguards, plenty of parking spaces and nice ramp to access beach. Bathrooms were neat and clean. There are 4 showers. This is probably the best beach in the Hamptons.

Great waves and better people. I have surfed.for over 30 years at Ditch in Montauk and made more friends in the water here in 3 days. Can't wait to go back. Sandbar is worth it

Simply beautiful. Clean white sand and nice waves. We went the weekend after Labor day and the water was perfect temperature for swimming. Family friendly and we even saw people walking dogs. Lifeguard not on duty the days we went. Changing rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice. There's a booth to pay for parking, but it was closed both weekend days we went, so free! I guess it stops at Labor Day.

Clean sand, attentive lifeguards, and surf worthy waves. The beach is open for summer 2020, but only for residents of the area. Masks are required in common areas, but not on the beach itself. The place is popular on weekends and holidays, but there is a lot of space to spread out. There is concession stand that sells burgers, quesadillas, hotdogs and ice cream. The crowd is mixed, with families, seniors, and young people.

Ponquogue Beach (or Punk Rock Beach if you're local) is so low-key that I really don't want to say much more about it. I personally enjoy it more than Cupsogue or Tiana. Quite often see dolphins go by in the afternoon, too. And the lifeguards are the best in the business!

Had a day to myself out in the Quogue area. An online search turned up Ponquogue Beach and I'm glad I found it! It's clean, low-key, and well maintained. Staff is polite and friendly. Beach is large, so there is plenty of room for everyone, and room to move around if you want to toss a frisbee or set up volleyball. A $30 parking fee gets you in for the day. Restrooms and pavilion are clean and there are nice outdoor showers. Be aware that the restrooms close at 4:55pm. (I'm guessing the employees clock out at 5...). Food stand stops cooking on the early side (3 - 3:30-ish). Plan accordingly. Fish and chips were tasty and a good portion. $18 seemed high but hey, it's summer at the beach... Highly recommended.
