They have shelters you can have parties in and even Picnic area where the kids and I had lunch. The bathrooms for the most part were decent. It was so much to do on the playground, the kids and I really enjoyed this park. We most definitely will visit again

This is a great park, good for sports and relaxing. Kept fairly clean for a public park. Nice size pavilions to rent for gatherings. Limited space in the back for campers and small RVs.. Of course they have a boat launch off of the main entrance road. The only issue I have had Many Times over the years is off leash dogs. Signs are posted at the entrance of the park dogs must be kept on leash at all times.

Terrible experience with the RV Park setup. Arriving after 1PM made things excruciatingly difficult. Called 3 times the week prior to try to make the process as painless as possible still didn't help. If you arrive after 1 PM I was told to find a spot, park the RV, drive over to the nature preserve to check in and get the power turned on. Arrived at 230 PM, picked a spot, got the trailer backed in, and then a park employee stopped as he was driving by to tell us that the power didn't work at that spot. Picked spot number 2 and moved the trailer. Got it backed in, leveled and disconnected. Drove 20 minutes over to the nature preserve to check in. Once I filled out the paperwork I was told the spot I picked wasn't usable and we would once again have to move to a spot they assigned. Not happy but it is what it is. Met one of the park rangers that said he'd be over shortly to turn on the power. Went back to break down and hook up the trailer, and move to the new spot. Got it parked and level, but didn't want to disconnect again until they showed up to turn the power on. Called the nature preserve to check on the status of someone coming to turn the power on, and was told he'd be there within the hour. Called back an hour later to be told he went home for the day and the only available park ranger had to wait until the nature preserve closed at 6 and then cashed out. Ranger showed up and made excuses about how it wasn't their job and we should just be happy they came and did it. The only redeeming quality is the location to the family we're visiting. If you're arriving after 1 PM when the park office closes I would use this place as a last resort.

It's a nice park with a pretty good playground. It's a big park and seems a little disorganized at first. But once we found the playground, the kids had lots of fun. I would say it is a top 10 playground in this area. There are soccer fields, camping and boat ramps too. I am interested to come back and do more here.

Thank you, Gosnold's Hope Park, for a wonderful family reunion, meet, and greet gathering... We really appreciate your beautiful park for hosting our "ALL-IN-ONE" family reunion. It was such a nice and clean park of outdorsey funtime in the sun with family experience... We rated your park 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Because your community has a great atmosphere with volleyball courts for any type of family function or sports event. Many years ago, we also hosted several family wedding receptions here as well. Thanks again, Gosnold Hope, your park is very huge, spacious, with many activities for the kiddos and playgrounds...

Lovely, smaller park. Large playground with large restroom right there. Great place to walk my dog and be able to keep distance with other dogs. Many pavilions for picnics

A Family Favorite! Rented a shelter for Mothers Day! Can't beat it. Shelter needed some tidying but I blame that more on the person who rented before us! Volleyball had no net so made perfect play area for kids!

This is the best park in Hampton! There is great updated playground equipment, plenty of room for walking, running, biking and boating. There's even a boat ramp with close parking for truck and trailer. In the back of the park there's even a full BMX track. There is a public restroom, and there are multiple pavilions to have events at a great price, or just enjoy a quiet meal and read, volleyball courts at some of the locations. This park is well kept and safe.

PLAYGROUND RATING ONLY: It is absolutely wonderful ever since they built the new "rainbow park" it is even better. Lots of play options and it is usually very clean. Basically no frills, no vending machines, it is a true outdoor park. The weather plays a big part in how good of an experience you will have, if it rained the day before...there will be mud. If you need beverages and snacks there is a 7-11 very close(short walk). Lots of sitting for adults. There are enclosed bathrooms, but don't expect anything fancy.

I meet up with friends here every other sunday as part of an outdoor hobby. Lots of sprawling space for many activities, great location with lots of shade and variation as well as family spaces. The bathroom is a trek If you're on the edges of the park and they're locked most of the winter but otherwise a great location!

The trail to get to the actual beach is a little longer than I expected but it was still a lovely walk. The beach itself.....beautiful, peaceful and quiet. If you go at the right time, the sky and water become one.

Great playground. There is exercise equipment through out the park. Look forward to trying them out when rain hasn't gotten them all wet. I wish there was a set trail made to connect the exercise equipment with .10 mile markers on it that would be awesome

Nice open green space away from traffic but close to occasional jet noise. Nice dual boat ramp with dock and pier, both in great shape. BMX track all the way at the bottom of the park. Great place to run, walk the dog, fly a kite or play with the kids. There are soccer(regular and small kid sized) and football fields. There is also a nice playground for kids too. There are several shelters you can reserve for a nominal fee. Saturday mornings in the early fall and early spring are pretty busy because rec league soccer and football are going on.

We had a birthday cookout here. I like that there were covered pavilions with seating. The bathroom wasn't too far and although I didn't use it, I was told it was clean and had A/C. There were a lot of other groups out there as well. There was a playground for the children. It seems to be a very busy location.

Theres kids who are just to big to be playing at that park, put a sign up for what type of age group can play there. My son is only 2years old and can't enjoy himself cause of this situation.

I grew up going to this park as well as my son. Nice boat dock for loading and unloading. We lived on the canal here so it was easy to take our boat out of the water for winter. The shelters a nice. Great place to cookout with friends and family. A lot of space for playing ball or other games.

I was there to see my great nephews play football. Didn't actually get to tour the park. The games were awesome 😎.

We arrived here at 4PM on a Sunday and picked a spot. All the spots are FCFS. The first spot's electrical plugs had an ant nest in them and one 30A plug was cracked/missing parts. Of course, that didn't matter a ton because they physically lock all their pedestals until you've paid. We moved spots. The park office where you're supposed to register was closed and they wouldn't answer the phone either. So, like every other FCFS campground in the country we planned on settling in the morning when they opened - NOPE. An Gomer city park ranger came pounding on our door and hour after we had unhitched demanding to see our contract. I explained the situation and said we were planning on getting registered as soon as the office opened. He kicked us out at 5PM without a place to stay lined up instead. The park office closes at 1PM. That's right, 1PM. There is no after hours registration or pay box available. None of this is mentioned on their website or any signage. We ended up at the Newport News City Park Campground up the road. They actually are competent.
