I
recently
had
the
misfortune
of
going
to
Hampton
Aspen
in
reference
to
a
general
dental
checkup.
I
have
to
confess
that
it
was
the
worst
decision
of
my
life.
During
the
initial
visit,
a
plethora
of
x-rays
were
taken
after
which
a
dental
hygienist
examined
my
gums
and
bones.
She
informed
me
that
I
was
experiencing
some
gum
disease
and
bone
loss.
She
recommended
that
undergo
various
procedures
to
resolve
the
problematic
areas.
After
her
examination,
a
dentist
reviewed
the
findings
of
the
x-rays
and
suggested
various
procedures
to
remedy
again...problematic
areas.
The
total
estimate
of
the
procedures
was
roughly
around
$9,450.00.
The
receptionist
then
advised...the
next
day...that
I
apply
for
their
financial
plan
to
cover
the
price.
My
insurance
was
estimated
to
cover
$4,000
with
me
being
responsible
for
the
remainder.
At
this
juncture...something
just
didn't
feel
right,
So
I
decided
to
seek
a
second
opinion.
I
made
an
appointment
at
a
local
dentist
and
they
took
their
own
set
of
x-rays.
The
dental
hygienist
there
informed
me
that
my
gums
and
bones
looked
good!
The
dentist
did
find
some
problematic
areas...but...there
was
no
need
for
the
removal
of
a
tooth...no
apparent
reason
for
me
to
receive
a
bridge...and
the
procedures
that
were
required
could
be
preformed
in
one
visit!!!
Hmmmmmmmm...something
doesn't
quite
smell
right!!
I
would
advise
anyone...everyone
going
to
Aspen...to
seek
a
second
opinion!
I
also
took
the
printed
recommendations
made
by
Aspen
to
this
dentist
.
Let's
just
say...that
the
findings
definitely
did
not
match
up!
It
was
almost
criminal
in
nature.
The
only
thing
missing...was
the
use
of
a
gun
and
a
mask!
