Awful. Loud and rude neighbors. Staff is nice until you sign lease. Not luxury at all. False smoke alarms monthly if you like that annoying sound. Nothing gets fixed. Garbage in halls on carpet. Saw a motor cycle being hailed in to an apartment. Don't move here.

Dear UDR, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at your Towson, MD properties. On two separate occasions, I traveled from New Jersey to visit 20 Lambourne. I was very interested in the apartments, but I found the following concerns: I was unable to speak to a live person. All communication was through an automated system, and response times were significantly delayed. The layout of the building was confusing. If I arrived when staff was on lunch, I was basically left to wander around aimlessly. The upkeep of the hallways was less than desirable. I was disappointed to discover that many of the advertised properties were unavailable. After my second visit to 20 Lambourne was unsuccessful, I decided to visit your property at The Quarters. I was hoping for a better experience, but I was again disappointed. I spoke to a leasing agent who was very dismissive of my concerns. When I expressed disappointment that the unit I was interested in was not available for showing, she told me to watch my tone and fix my attitude. I tried to explain that I was simply disappointed, but she continued to be rude and condescending. I left The Quarters feeling defeated and disappointed. I had spent a lot of time and energy traveling to Towson, and I had not been able to see any apartments that I was interested in. I was also concerned about the way that I had been treated by the leasing agent. I understand that she may have had a difficult day(having to leave her kids home to work and her dad sick in the hospital), but that is no excuse for treating a customer poorly. I was not hostile or aggressive, and I never cursed or yelled. I simply expressed my disappointment. I am sure that there are many great people who work for UDR, but my experience with the leasing agent at The Quarters was unacceptable. I would not recommend your properties to anyone, and I will not be doing business with you again. You will find my email in your inbox.

Oh My Goodness, LaRhonda at the leasing office was so amazing, helpful, and patient!! She worked with us to find the perfect apartment that was also within our price range. I can’t wait to enjoy all of the amenities at The Quarters!!

Terrible infrastructure DO NOT MOVE IN. The apartment building is literally leaking in MULTIPLE units from the melted snow all because of the terrible and cheap construction of the apartment. Leasing office is extremely unhelpful and all they do is lie to your face about getting back to you. Maintenance would not help until all the snow melted and the leasing office did nothing to help us relocate for at least a couple of days. Only one person was working today. We are in unlivable conditions and it is only a matter of time when a hazardous amount of mold will start to grow. Renters insurance, maintenance, and the apartment staff are completely useless and nothing has been done to help us out. Absolutely nothing. I am interrupted constantly by workers there and dismissed. Terrible management and malpractice with no regard for anyone’s wellbeing.

My family and I moved here from out of town, we were looking for the right spot to move that was close to the school of choice and not in the city, and was close to everything. We looked at a few different places but for the space, price and floor plan we picked The Quarters. The ladies in the leasing office Salwa, Jazmin ,Larhonda are great. We had a few things when we moved in that we’re not to our liking but was but handled very fast. Everyone is very happy with where we decided to stay and is getting settled in.

Great help from the team and Salwa. Much appreciated for all their efforts in getting us an apartment! I will say lately the quarters have been a bit disappointing. A vehicle was stolen from the garage when the garage gate was not working. Sucks to pay a monthly parking fee and not have my property protected. (The gate was not working for several weeks). On top of that we are awaken by the fire alarm at least once or twice a month in the middle of the night. The previous time it took quite a while before the fire department got there. That being said, the staff and living situation has been great just a two large issues that need to be accounted for

My partner previously lived here years ago and it was great so we attempted to apply again and it has been awful, their new management is incredible uncommunicative. Due to lots of extra fees and very poor communication during our application, we decided not to apply. They still charged us $700 for our pet fees, rental insurance, and deposit and we have not received it back still 6 weeks later. I have sent many emails with no response regarding it. Please UDR, do not respond to this poor review telling me to email you and you will help. Email me back about this matter instead because I have emailed and it didn't work.

THE WORST BUILDING EVER!!!! Do not move here please. There are mice all over the parking garage. When me and my fiancé originally moved here they gave us a different apartment that needed so many repairs. The floors are always dirty. They thought that changing the carpet to hardwood floors would make a difference, but it didn’t. Still dirty. People lay garbage outside their apartments which causes the entire hallway to smell gross. Our apartment developed mold on the walls and it took them forever to come in fix it. During the process of them fixing it, they left a huge hole in our wall that leads to the outside. Management is terrible and they lie about when your move out date should be so you can stay and pay more. I would never recommend this building to anyone. Please do not waste your time. If I could give zero stars I would, but google needs me to put a star to go the next page.

The absolute worst. Just over a year of living here and we already can't wait to leave this place. It's one inconvenience after another and they have the nerve to sell it as luxury living. Construction and repairs begin right at 8:00 in the morning and have been ongoing for months. They constantly come up with reasons to enter your apartment which feels like more of a check in to see how you live than for legitimate reasons. They will ask you to remove everything from in front of your water heater and ac unit door so they can install monitors, remove everything from your patio for cleaning, painting, etc, make sure to clear your walk-in closet so water monitors can be installed, on and on. They do give a date they say they will show but that really means they may show on that date or anytime up to 8 months after that. The front office will not communicate this to residents but when they do finally appear you are expected to accommodate them. This is peddled as improvements to make it the best community it can be - laughable. An adequate staff that cares about the residents would demonstrate that more than these ridiculous "improvements". The elevator has been out of service for months. We don't live far from this one so we're left with taking the stairs, walking to another building or waiting until we're on our way out to get mail, packages, etc. Because deliveries are thrown about the mail room who knows if they may even still be there. The leasing office is completely incompetent, rude and doesn't attempt to be at all helpful. You can see from other reviews management here doesn't take any responsibility for the inept way The Quarters is run. My best advice is to avoid this dump as long as there are comparable apartments in the area. It actually feels ghetto with trash left in the hall, constant rodent sightings and drug deals happening day and night all over the property. The so-called luxury living - because of a washer and dryer - isn't worth the hassle when you are forced to resort to hiring a lawyer as we have. Save the canned reply because we just want to get as far away from here as possible.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I’m going to make a series on why you should not lease here. Only live here if you are desperate. I recommend their competitors next door.. Winthrop, Flats at 703, and Southerly. Not this dump. My move-out experience at The Quarters at Towson Town Center was quite disappointing. They provided me with a final billing ledger that had an incorrect balance, and when I tried to communicate with them to resolve the issue, they proved to be extremely difficult to work with. Despite providing clear evidence that I had moved out according to my lease agreement, they insisted that I was still living there. It's frustrating that nobody from their end is reaching out to address the problem.

Since I’ve moved into the building, there has been nothing but chaos. My packages have been stolen left and right. My car was towed while I pay for a parking pass, which the rental office knows yet still wouldn’t have my car released. My car was burglarized, in a gated parking garage! The staff swears they’re empathic, yet they don’t care or have a heart to keep hitting me with fees left and right as if my rent isn’t already high enough. I am baffled and truly disappointed. The apartment is nice, yes. But everything that comes with living here is a huge NO. I would not recommend and as a current resident, SAVE YOURSELF the trouble. Seriously. Also, the fire alarm randomly goes off at all times of the day and half of the time, it’s problems with the doors and codes.
