The new ownership have raised the bar a notch. The management seems very responsive, so I’ve edited and updated my review. The food has a bit of “destination” appeal to it, worth a short side trip if the options appeal to you and you want something new. The “everything” avocado toast was definitely a cut above. The breakfast burrito was tasty but with extra salsa it’s definitely a joy. The lattes were good. The outdoor seating is nice and the street isn’t busy. The menu isn’t massive but that’s not a bad thing and they have specials so you’ll always have a new option.

Under new ownership in 2023. I'm glad it's still around. The new menu feels more creative; it's on the more expensive side for this type of establishment, but it's good. I very much enjoyed the crepe, which appeared to be a Sunday Brunch special. The lavender italian soda was also excellent and tasted fresh. Drawbacks under the new ownership is that coffee selection has been reduced from a half-dozen flavors to just regular and decaf, and refills are no longer free. Also there is no wifi available for custmers anymore. That's a big one for me; the location also has poor service on both Verizon and T-Mobile, so without wifi it's no longer feasible for me to visit on weekdays when I need to be reachable for wrk.

We went for a late breakfast, and everything was extremely tasteful. These new owners have done a great job with the food and the building itself. We will be back.!!!!

The drinks were good and made out of real ingredients. Expect natural ingredients not fake stuff. The meatball sub was cold and lacking in flavor. The area had numerous flies. Although not the restaurants fault it was gross and distracting.

Great little cafe in a picturesque New England town! We had delicious sandwiches and the food came quickly. It has a nice porch with tables and great ambiance inside. We shared 2 very tasty pastries and the coffee is excellent. We highly recommend this place!

Fiddleheads Cafe in Hancock, NH just reopened under new management over the Memorial Day weekend. So, I thought I'd stop by this morning to check it out and have breakfast. When a restaurant opens under new management, the hope is that there's positive change. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Disappointment is the one word I can think of to summarize my visit at Fiddleheads Cafe. First of all, the menu has been moved to a blackboard on the side wall with so much written on it that it's nearly impossible to decipher. A couple of others came in while I was there and also stared at the blackboard with the same blank stare that I employed. Because I couldn't make heads or tails out the breakfast items listed (with the exception of OM-wich), I went to place an order at the counter and asked if I could get a regular breakfast. Poached eggs, yes. Toast, yes. Home fries, no "we don't do them." Ham, yes. Coffee, yes. But, I was shocked when my order was tallied up. The new Fiddleheads is expensive (very expensive for what it is). For my two eggs, toast, a thin slice of ham, and a small coffee the total was $11.94 before tip. Yikes. And, maybe it's just me, but no home fries?! In my mind, that's a breakfast staple (the old Fiddleheads had them). Finally, the kitchen service was a bit slow for just eggs, toast, and ham especially considering that I was one of just a few customers there at the time. As I was exiting, another customer that came in while I was eating my breakfast was sitting at a table just outside the door. He had ordered a day-old blueberry muffin (apparently they sell day-old and new muffins) and a 16 oz. coffee. He said he paid over $9.00 and that the day-old muffin was over $4.00. I commented, "yes, a bit disappointing." He agreed and commented, "very expensive." I won't return.

Had lunch. Egg salad on rye was filling. Wife had a turkey wrap with lots of veggies and the turkey was nice chunks of breast meat. I had a lemonade and a brownie. She had iced tea. Not cheap but pleasant and filling.

We had a great experience! We were camping close by & wanted to grab coffee. It started raining so we decided to stay longer we got a pastry & breakfast sandwich - both were delicious! Highly recommend ☺️

Such a disappointment to return here after it had been sold to discover the entire menu had been changed. Nothing from previous ownership was available and it used to be phenomenal. I would drive almost an hour to have the toad in a hole for breakfast, then take home their chicken tenders, bread and multiple baked goods.

Met a friend for lunch. First visit there. Food was good: muffins, scone, ricotta pie. Lots of people going in and out. It was chilly outside and there was no heat on. Needless to say, no one was taking off their coats. Time to turn on the heat! Will be back to try other items.

Fiddleheads is a quaint restaurant with great food. I have had Sunday breakfast there twice and loved it. The hasbrowns are unique and oh sooo yummy! They have local, fresh, fare, made to order. You can sit inside or outside on the porch. Beautiful scenery all year.
