👍 After seeing the menu on Google Maps we came here. Unfortunately they had changed the menu a bit so some of the things we were expecting to order weren’t on the menu anymore. However we had some vietnamese food, spring rolls and a pumpkin soup that was surprisingly good. Good service and nice place. A lovely place, with great food and the most attentive staff. We had dinner today here with a group. Staff had the best service, the most attentive. The owner, Lap, came out to talk with us, ordered the taxi ride back to us, and we had a great chat with him. You must visit it. It's tucked in a small alley but taxi drivers find it easily. Come, you wont regret it

Really great atmosphere and meal. Food is delicious & well plated. The egg coffee in particular is a must! Quang was a good server. Cocktails are decent, though not as good as the food. Happy hour is buy one get one free for cocktails from 4-6pm. They are slightly pushy in asking you to leave a review at the end of your meal, which is at odds with an otherwise quite nice experience.

What a fantastic spot in the very center of Hanoi Old Town! A must visit whilst here. 10/10! Thank you Hanoi Food Culture Restaurant for gifting us such a beautiful memory and experience. We were looking for a nice, authentic Vietnamese restaurant for a family dinner out. Ideally we wanted to escape the chaotic and loud Hanoi for a couple of hours - all to enjoy some family time together and to have a chat. This place was perfect for this. The menu is very well thought out and has a great variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and cocktails. The cocktails were grand! The food itself was UNBELIEVABLE! Delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and served hot, right off the stove! By this time we had eaten at quite a few great Vietnamese restaurants and we thought nothing else could surprise us or beat the previous experience. Well, we were wrong! This place was definitely the best of them all! The service was excellent. Our waiter Bao was very polite, professional, helpful and attentive. Thank you Bao! Loved our dinner here. Highly recommend it that you visit this place.

Food was absolutely delicious. Sat on a lovely patio in the first floor. Between 3 of us we had a platter of spring rolls, an aubergine dish and some morning glory. Big portions and lots of variety on the menu - western and Vietnamese. Staff were lovely, would definitely come back.

This is the place to visit if you are looking for tasty food but also quality and ambiance. They serve Vietnamese food in the most presentable way and place itself provides a good ambiance to hangout with your friends and family. They serve local beer as well. There are happy hours so we had more than what we needed. The food may not be as cheap as the street vendors but it is perfect for people looking for quality and cleanliness. The service was great.

I had an aubergine and tofu dish. It was nice but a little bland. My sister had a mushroom dish which wasn’t very nice (but this is just our opinion and we would still recommend that you visit at least once yourself). We both had the apple crumble for dessert which tasted divine! Staff are friendly, menu prices are reasonable. The restaurant itself is very cute.

The best salad and spring rolls I have ever had. The waiter Bin gave amazing service, and made the whole experience really comfortable and great! We feel happy and relaxed as soon, as we enter the restaurant. Anyone, who wants to try Vietnamese food in Hanoi, should go here! The lime juice is also the best ever!

Nice and quaint place in the back streets. Watch out for the guy who sprays water just a few units away.. 😄 Food was reasonably priced and tasty but portions could be a little more... with less rice.. visited by locals too.. so can go visit if you're in the area for a quick lunch. Friendly staff. To the owner(s) ** kitchen disinfection shouldn't be done when food is prepared, served on when there are guest in the restaurant. It is best done when place is closed for business.

Set down a small alley way, a large restaurant over 2 floors opens up, with high ceilings, lanterns, wooden shutters and colourful tiles. Very friendly staff and the owner greet you with a smiling face. The owner has just reopened after covid closures... It's been a tough few years for hospitality in Vietnam and they've had to close a few venues. Menu is traditional and modern Vietnamese. Moderately priced and fast service. I think this is a lovely restaurant for a romantic dinner for one or two! 😍👍 Follow life_on_ep for more insights

Very nice place to have a local dinner. They also have pizzas and they seems good as a lot of people were ordering them. We had the spring rolls and the pumpkin soup and were very happy with how everything tasted.

We visited this restaurant two times and think it is the best place in the old town. They serve delicious, nicely decorated food. The atmosphere is rather romantic, including old style music. The only problem is a narrow street to follow, but do not be afraid - we rented an Airbnb nearby and it is totally safe!

Awesome food, service and experience. We were in Hanoi and this restaurant was highly recommended by our guide who also accompanied us for lunch. After a short wait, we were shown our seating on the first floor. The restaurant was full of people and the atmosphere was great. The menu focuses on local food ( it has continental food also) and has many options for vegan or vegetarian too. We loved the food, the taste, presentation and the quantity was excellent. Highly recommended to come here to experience great Vietnamese cuisine.

Came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and they were very accommodating. Ngan is very attentive and made sure our experience was flawless. Every dish was amazing, the caramelised pork was the best I’ve had. The atmosphere was great and cooling. Would definitely come again.

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was friendly and extremely hard working. We were especially helped by Ruby and she was absolutely amazing. They have lots of options to choose from and everything we had was absolutely delicious, and everyone working there made it a very comfortable, cozy, and enjoyable place to have some dinner. I also had some egg coffee after dinner, which I had never had before but was very delicious! Highly recommended place to get dinner and some egg coffee after!

This was a strange one. Despite proclaiming itself proudly as Hanoi and Vietnamese food, this is probably the most muted food we had in Vietnam, flavor wise. The staff is attentive enough, although a bit slow. So, it’s not really a service issue. The food here is just so...okay, which can’t be the case for a place that charges so much. The space is okay and the AC is sufficient, but nothing here to write home about. I think all the positive reviews are from the food tour diners that are herded through this place. If you know your Vietnamese food already, don’t bother coming here. The mango sticky rice had a strange herbal flavor I’ve never tasted in a mango before. Hard to believe they messed up something as basic as mango sticky rice.

Such a great discovery, tucked away from the busy road and horns, this gem has a lovely atmosphere. I sat in the front window and watched many groups of friends and families from all over the globe arrive and the young waitress Mai managed to communicate with everyone. The food was fresh and delicious and the drinks refreshing. Plus they accept credit card which is convenient. Highly recommended for a relaxed meal.

What a great find on a side street among the bustle of Hanoi! Tasty local food elevated and made more approachable for foreigners because of very friendly English speaking staff and bilingual menus. Loved the decor and the AC - it was a refuge on a hot day!

Absolutely agree with earlier reviews here that this is a hidden gem. Hidden in a very narrow walking alleyway, this place has excellent ambiance. Staff speaks decent to good English and are friendly and attentive. Their fried Spring roll was excellent. Decent selection of cocktails and I had the Russian Mule. A pleasing experience overall.

Not sure how this place is rated one of top restaurants. Everything was fine up until people started to leave, lots of mice began to come towards and around us - about 5 of them. We saw multiple holes in the ceiling and the floors. We understand it’s an old city but for a top rated restaurant you would think they would try to maintain this issue or patching up the holes. The food was also pretty basic and over price for Hanoi. We were too focused on the mice running around.

The atmospheric place in a small street. Great food, friendly staff, beautifully designed space. The best "Hanoi traditional grilled fish" I tried here, perfectly cooked sauces. Would love to come back here again and again.

I chose this place as my first dining experience in Hanoi, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The menu's physical design was appealing, and I appreciated how the dishes showcased a combination of Vietnamese signature flavors and French inspirations. Duc, my server for the evening, was incredibly friendly and helpful, enhancing my dining experience. I am eager to return in the future and indulge in the tasting menu once again.

My wife and I did a cooking class here this morning. Short visit to the market and then a chance to get some hands on experience prepping and cooking four dishes with Rosie the Chef. Our meal was great and we finished with a Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Great experience and would recommend this to anyone.

The drinks (iced tea, a lychee martini & wine), food, ambience and most importantly, the staff were all excellent!! So happy we stopped here for dinner! Our wonderful host, Ngan, was welcoming, hospitable, attentive and overall took such great care of us. The building and decor are even adorable. The food was perfectly cooked, large in portion and delicious. Nothing was too spicy and when I asked for some red chili to give mine a little kick, Ngan brought me some immediately. Highly recommend! A great spot in a city full of choices!

I recently discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant tucked away in a small, overlooked street in Vietnam. At first glance, it may not catch your eye from the outside, but don't let appearances deceive you. This restaurant is a true hidden pearl. The food here is nothing short of amazing. Every dish bursts with delicious flavors, thanks to the use of fresh ingredients. The presentation of each meal is also a work of art, making the dining experience even more delightful. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional staff. They are not only welcoming but also incredibly friendly and professional. Their warmth and attentiveness add an extra layer of charm to the overall dining experience. Thu was our waiter and she was super professional, caring and lovely. Whether you're looking for a spot for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered in the heart of Vietnam.

A great start to the trip! My friend and I had lunch here on a late afternoon after landing in Hanoi. The restaurant is not located on the main street but it is not difficult to find if you follow Gmaps. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing (in terms of taste and presentation) and the spring rolls!! got me thinking about them over and over :') There was only 1 other group in the restaurant at that time so we did not wait very long for food to be served. Definitely a great place to kick off your trip with, hope to revisit someday!

Nice eatery that we visited during recent stay in Hanoi. A very extensive menu was presented in English and showed that they had western and Vietnamese food available. I ended up getting the buffalo tenderloin which was delicious (had to try buffalo!). Very tender with a nice sauce and rice. Staff was very friendly and spoke perfect english. Very nice decor as well. Highy recommended if you’re looking for an easy intro to Vietnamese cuisine!

We came on our first night in Hanoi after stumbling across the alley and restaurant and safe to say this was absolute gem. We were seated quickly and the food was amazing. Nice restaurant serving Vietnamese food. I feel the restaurant is tailored for foreigners, you won’t see much locals there, but food is good, they have an English menu, and staff is super friendly. I would recommend, just know that not many locals go there. They have vegan and vegetarian options, I had tofu with aubergine.

Fantastic gem down side street. Ambience and decore are great. Happy hour today from 4 til 6 pm on cocktails. We had the mixed roll items, and they were great. Other food being served looked awesome. Highly recommend 👌

Nice restaurant hidden in the walkway. Uniquely style that the decoration. The feeling of walking into back in time. Nice playlist music and high speed internet. 2 floors, down to earth ingredients, menu design, even the straws are bamboo. Friendly staffs, and speaking to the staff make you understand more about the story behind the concept of this place. If you have some time at Hanoi old quarter, spend an afternoon drink here. The wall decor have some very old and unique photos about history. I enjoy these photos.

The foods are very nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. We were taken care by the staff, Ruby. She was very helpful during our visit. She explained how to prepare the DIY menu as well as showing the food picture on the local menu we were not familiar with. We tried spring rolls, DIY Nem, roasted duck breast, honey chicken, caramelized pork belly and apple crumble. They are all amazing.

We dined at Hanoi Food Culture and had a wonderful meal. The staff, particularly Hai and Tim, were so welcoming, informative, and friendly. They were great to chat with and very helpful! I had the lemongrass chicken and a purple martini and would have both again. The meals were large portions and very tasty. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a variety of seating areas. It’s kid friendly but the portion was maybe too big for my son. We couldn’t finish and had to reassure the staff that we were just full but the food was delicious!

We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was really chill and cozy. Exposed brick walls and wooden roof beams. Tim and Hai were our servers and they were great. Very friendly, gave great food recommendations and talked about what we could do in the city with our few days here. The food was excellent. Fried pork spring rolls were crunchy and well flavored. The lemongrass beef and chili stir fry was awesome. The thin strips of beef were tender and cooked perfectly. The portions are large too. Great food and service. Thanks!

Delicious was an understatement. I got Thit kho trung chim cut which is a caramelized pork and the flavors were SO rich and deep. I’m a fairly picky eater and this dish was incredible! Also got the lychee martini which was plenty flavorful and almost enough vodka ;) My friend got the Seafood stir fry with noodles and the flavors were also amazing. The broth was incredible! She loved it Service was attentive but not overbearing Atmosphere was cute with a downstairs and upstairs area for seating. Plenty of walk-in availability on the weekdays at least! (Didn’t go on a weekend)

Best get here early because this place is packed. But even with a full house you don't need to wait too long Obviously everybody's here because this place is wonderful! Food service atmosphere classic funky Vietnamese vibe. It's like something out of a movie The food is phenomenal. Compared to Western prices it's about 1/4 the cost.

AMAZING! The owner came out to greet us, the food was fresh, delicious and very authentic. The restaurant is down an alley so harder to find but worth the effort! So clean and everyone was supper friendly and happy, made the entire experience perfect. I got the grilled aubergine in a clay pot and my husband got the grilled lang fish, lathe portions and plenty to share. Make sure you get the fried pork spring rolls! Ask for Jack, best waiter!

Let me preface and give some context: Everywhere I have eaten in Hanoi has had amazing food! So for me to write this review, I want to make sure that it is understood that this was 5-Star service and food. First, our server Quang! He was personable, funny, quick to connect, gave great recommendations, and most importantly made our experience memorable. Truly, the only server I encountered that I will actively remember when I head home. Regarding food, I had a ginger chicken and fried rice with seafood spring rolls. My peers had the fish in banana leaves, the wrapped pork, and the lemongrass chicken. We ate our meals in complete ecstasy. We took a chance on Hanoi Food Culture - and this chance paid off 110%. Also, highly recommend the orange, peach, and lemongrass tea!

We absolutely loved our visit to Hanoi food culture. After finding KOTO, I knew I had to visit HFC since it’s owned by a KOTO alumni. I have a gluten free and no red meat allergy, and they were able to easily recommend dishes! Our waitress Thu was knowledgeable and understanding about my allergy, and the menu even notes on the front page that they can cater to vegan and gluten free! From a wonderful ambiance that made for such a romantic dinner, to the fabulous staff (shout out to Thu who made our night so special!), I can’t recommend enough visiting
