Locals told us this is one of the best pho places in Old Quarter. Please be aware of a long queue during lunch or dinner time, but you can be in and out in 15 minutes. Service is amazingly quick for a place so busy. You can choose between half done or well done beef. There are no other meat options, so beware for non beef eaters. On the table there’s chili sauce , limes, fish sauce and garlic for you to mix your food with. Be careful with the chili sauce as it’s very spicy . You may have to share a table with others, because it so busy.

My favorite pho spot in Hanoi! Started and ended my trip at Pho 10. I came here for breakfast three times during my trip - that’s how much I admired this restaurant. Super quick service and the noodles are top notch - so tender. The soup is also great and not too salty. Beef always tasted excellent too - I recommend the half done beef with brisket. Go for breakfast to avoid the lines!

You’ll know it’s a favorite when it’s filled with customers and you have to wait for available slots. When we visited, about 75% of the diners are foreigners! Expect to be at the same table with other tourists (an opportunity to mingle). They also prepare the ingredients in advance so you don’t have to wait long for your pho. We had a blast here. I thought the soup was flavorful and the beef’a tender. Highly recommended for tourists.

I’m no longer eating Pho 10 Ly Quoc Su because their food quality and service are getting worse every single time I’m here. Their staffs have bad attitude for no reason. Too much MSG in the broth. Being a Hanoian, I love pho and support Pho 10 quite a lot but not anymore. There’re many better choices if we want to have Pho in Hanoi, they are not the only one and not the best one in town.

Enjoyed the pho!! Tasty and plenty of garnish available - chili, lime, chili sauce, vinegar etc. They point to where you can sit and you may end up sharing a table with other strangers. They take your order at the table. Pay after you finish eating at the counter. They only had 2 options at the time we arrived not sure if it was sold out of the other menu items. Would recommend to tourists. I saw people who looked like foreigners. Also the menu has English.

Literally every single person eating at this place is a tourist. Before coming here, ask yourself if a restaurant at your local town is like that would you recommend it to a friend? If you’re a party or 2 they seat you beside some strangers at a 4 person table. They sit you down stare at you for you order and when you’re done they hurry you out. All they want from you is your tourist money. Nothing more. Please skip this place

Top notch pho 🍲 one of the best I’ve ever had 👍🏼 They have 3 outlets around Hanoi. This outlet is rather small, just 1 floor … but fairly ok wait ~15-20 mins wait on average.

This was recommended in the Michelin guide but I am not sure if this restaurant is resting on its laurels but it does not deserve to be on the Michelin list. Whilst the food was good, it was no better then any road side stall selling Pho. The service consisted of a load of lazy youngsters milling around on their phones not bothered and because it is on the Michelin list it was quite busy so they were just stuffing as many people as possible on to the tables. Overall not recommended over any other Pho restaurant in Hanoi.

They say it's the best. I won't dispute it. Menu is on the table. Point to the one you want (I like half done+ brisket). 2 minutes later you have steamy broth. 4 minutes later, it's gone. Pay at the door. Repeat tomorrow.

Went in the morning and avoided any lines. We have seen people waiting in the evening before. The broth is really flavourful and delicious. You have the option to pick between variations of beef. Quick service.

TLDR - come for the beef noodles not the service or ambience. As good as it gets. Even the locals eat here. Simply choose from the menu on the table for the doneness of your beef. I find the half cook version the best. Add in lime, fish sauce and chilli (hot) for extra individual flavour. One bowl cost 70k. Relatively inexpensive in a major city.

This is one of the best places in Hanoi to get this particular types of food. The atmosphere is great, because the place is always packed. So every time you go, you are almost certain to have to wait in line to get in. But the fortunate thing is that the restaurant is not so big and a turnover is very fast so you can Get inside and eat quite quickly. I waited for about five minutes before I could get in during lunchtime because people who eat there also know that a lot of people are waiting so they’re trying to eat and leave in order to make the table available for other customers. The food is great and tastes delicious. I have to say that this is one of the best place to eat pho in Hanoi if not in Vietnam!

Very good pho! Tasted wonderful. The line is worth it, and we read the sign in front saying there are imposter shops around town. So make sure you go to one of the real ones. If you are a small party, you’ll be sat with others and you may not have much space- which is fine. I was just sat next to the garbage area with the same lack of space, which was less ideal.

It tasted soooooo deliciously good that we came back again the next day in the morning to avoid queue to get another bowl! The best pho I’ve ever tasted during my trip in Hanoi! Prefer the Half done as it’s just right with the softness texture, while done is a bit harder! Unforgettable taste! The first time we saw with long snake queue around lunch hour, Luckily we didnt have to wait to queue when we came around 9pm and 9am.

Finally try this place at our last night at Hanoi. If you pass by there is always a long queue waiting outside the eatery. The queue moved along quite fast as don’t past it due to the queue. Their noodles are delicious and reasonably priced. By far this is best value for money.

This is a seat-eat-go place. Fast. But if you are looking for one of the best Pho in Hanoi, here’s your place. The ingredients are really fresh and the quality is good too. The broth and the meat is on point. The price is also quite cheap. Recommended!

It's a pho. Meat is nice especially in the special pho but the soup could do much better, it's not as rich or flavourful. The place next door has better soup but their meat is not as good. Unfortunately the place doesn't seem to have anything amazing about it. And as always sanitary conditions could be better.

Pho was delicious and savory, the noodles were cooked to perfection. They have some condiments for you to add. The vinegar, fish sauce and a little bit of chili sauce brings out the flavor. I suggest that you try the soup first before adding condiments so you could taste the difference and balance the taste according to your liking. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5

Authentic pho. The special bowl contains a variety of different parts of the beef. The soup was flavourful, rice noodles were soft and soaked with that nice broth. Worth trying. Can be crowded in the morning.

clear type soup (Nam Dinh northern style), very flavoursome and deep despite it being clear. Silk smooth rice noodles and big portion of beef although not that tender. Pho Tai 65k, special beef 90k VND. Still recommended though!

***(Also note in photo 2, there are many imitators, don't be fooled and miss out on the quality!)*** My favorite Pho in Hanoi and I have lived here 7 years,so it's a big statement. Get the "special bowl" for a sample of a) the wonderful cuts of beef. A little more expensive than some, but you are paying for the heavenly beef slices. Worth every đong! Don't forget to add the savory doughnut sticks to the side and ice green tea. Add some of the garlic vinegar and chilli sauce, boom!!

Very crowded at around noon. But I didn’t wait at all and the staff assigned me at the empty seat on the spot. Share the big tables with other customers, but it would be a good experience. Soup was very good, especially the broth. The staff processing its job quickly and no wait to get the food served. Vibrant atmosphere inside thanks to the open kitchen.

Tried the Pho Chin - well cooked beef slices. Spiced up with chillies, chillie sauce, garlic slices and lime juice it was delicious. Add the deep fried fritters for an interesting side dish.

They are popular but their price is very reasonable. This is the kind of food provider who do not take advantage of their fame to jack up prices. Their pho bo is the best so far amongst all that we have had in Hanoi for the last 13 days. We will return to this shop for pho bo whenever we are in Hanoi.

We came here out of curiosity since it was promoted by the Michelin guide. I found the broth to be lighter than expected, but it had a deep complex flavour that made it very enjoyable. You can add fish sauce, vinegar, chili etc to your taste. There was no line at 6pm but all tables were taken.

Best pho we had in Hanoi. Had it for dinner for 2 nights consecutively. It was so good. Pho is served quickly after placing an order. During meal time there are a lot of people especially foreigners, there is a high possibility that you’ll be seated with other people.

The best pho I ever had. As always, I was a bit skeptical that it is a tourist trap. I had pho in many countries and this one blew my mind. There are chillies, chili paste, garlic and lemons in every table and you can add and play with the flavors. Pro tip: Careful with the chillies and the chili paste. It may not be that spicy, but with hot soup broth, it will make you cough and sweat. I was a bit cocky with my spices. My palate used to Indian spicy food was challenged. Add a little, taste the broth before adding more :)

One of the most popular Pho places in Hanoi. But it's not touristy. Most of the clients there like like locals. They have choices of cuts like medium done, well done, brisket and shank. The broth is very flavorful. The place is always full but you generally won't have to wait. Definitely worth a visit when in Hanoi.

Visited 3 times on a week visit to Hanoi, definitely worth a visit and lives up to the hype. Extremely tasty and reasonably priced. Can get busy around peak hours but customer turnover is quite quick so I think the longest we waited was a couple of minutes.

This place was recommended to me by a local. I’ve never been a fan of pho and unfortunately this place hasn’t changed my impression of the noodle dish. The restaurant is a hive of activity and staff are too busy to take notice of people entering the restaurant. Very crowded place and strangers would have to share tables. Condiments like lime and chilli sauce (which were placed out in the open) were also shared across different tables. I had the “special” Pho and the cuts of meat were quite rough and tough. Noodles were decent but what’s worth commending is the clear soup base. Nevertheless, this isn’t something I would want to return for.

Decent northern pho. Compare to southern pho, this taste lighter, more green (veg) taste, cleaner taste and the soup brings a tinge of sourish that lingers around the tater buds. Like it! Location - great Price - okay (60k dong) Food - decent good Cleanliness - okay

Our hotel counter lady recommended us this pho place which was just down the street from where we were staying, which was great because a lot of other places were closed in the afternoon. There was a queue when we got there, but the queue moved pretty quickly due to the fast turnaround. We ordered the bắp đặt biệt, the special beef pho bowl which included everything, and it was great! The bowl was priced at VND 90K, which was very reasonable as well. The flavours were amazing, and we couldn't help but finish the entire bowl of soup too! Would definitely come back here for the pho again!

Nothing better than a bowl of nice hot pho in a cold morning. I used to eat Southern style of pho, this one definitely smth different for me, but i love it. Quite plain and light soup, and super tender meat. We ordered pho chin, and pho tai bap, both meat were so tender and nice

Good pho beef. If someone who cannot eat beef this place has only beef. I have to let you know before you go. My friend who went there has I eat noodle with soup on meat at all. Not offended this is the best place for who love pho (beef)

Patronised a few times before the pandemic. Consider one of the good pho in Hanoi. The soup in the north tend to be sweeter (in my opinion). Noodles nicely cooked. Beef definitely fresh. VND 65,000 for the normal.

Lighting fast service. Food was great but the price a bit on a a tad on the higher side due to its popularity amongst tourist and you get to dine in a sit down shop. Would return again if I am around the area.

Some very delicious pho can be found here. On a visit, we did not know enough to ask for a full menu, which would have helped us choose add-ins for our meal. It gets crowded and we had to share our table of four with others.

  • 4/5 Anh Quynh P. 2 years ago on Google
60k for a bowl, pricey than some others. It’s OK service - good Pho, ice tea …. The staffs and cashier were quite unfriendly, fast serving .. staffs were well trained to know what they have to do. My friend was enjoying the bowl of Pho, suddenly a staff came up with asking to give her some chopsticks, 2 mins later - she was back to putting chopsticks container hardly on the table that was in front of us. Funny, can’t enjoy the bow of pho peacefully! 😭😎 Local service, don’t expect anything more. Pricey a bit, …. So just eat! 😉👍 Enjoy peoples!

Great restaurant, a must visit restaurant to taste different local pho's (what the pho?!), a traditional noodle soup with beef. The restaurant is very busy, try to limit the size of your group so you can join a table as soon as seats are available. The menu is a vietnamese/english menu in the middle of the table that works as a point-and-choose menu. It's possible that at a given time ij the evening your first choice is not available anymore due to depletion of supplies, in which case the waiter will mention what is still available. There are additional seasoning options readily available on the table such as a soy/water dissolution, garlic water, very hot sauce and limes. Prices were very good, you can pay only with cash. Restaurant can be noisy. You can finish your meal in 25min after having received your seat due to good staff and good organisation. Sometimes it's so busy, there are cues.

Pho is decent. It’s a very tourist heavy restaurant with most of the guests being tourist…. The restaurant serves Northern style pho which is different from Southern style( common in the US) in terms of condiments and flavor. Broth is less strong compared to other Northern Vietnamese pho places probably because they are catering toward tourists. It subsequently has turned off a lot of locals. I feel like dipping the fried dough is a must.

I was there @ 8.30am and it was crowded…. I saw some people order the Pho and then cross over the coffee shop right opposite… they will bring your order over to the coffee shop. No need to wait in the Q and still can enjoy the delicious Pho with coffee! Nice

  • 4/5 Peter F. 4 years ago on Google
Visitors to Hanoi would do well to sample the beef Pho noodles at Pho 10. This is certainly a tourist locale, with tourist prices, and there was a short line at the door when we arrived; but travelers searching for ample, tender beef, springy noodles, and a complex, savory broth will celebrate Pho 10 for their sublime soup. Our waitress was quick to let us know that some of the types of beef had been sold out, and I wonder if I received the type that I thought I ordered. Nevertheless, the Pho comes out fast and you'll be making friends with your neighbors at the communal tables when you ask them to please pass the limes, chili and fish sauce.

First thing first, a bowl of pho right after touch down. The pho broth was light and refreshing! It’s quite different with the usual southern style pho that i usually had. But it got it’s own charm! I can imagine craving for this pho when i go back to my hometown..

  • 5/5 Bryan T. 4 years ago on Google
Its a fast and delicious experience; fast because you dont have the luxury of time to slowly choose from the menu, its a eat and go kind-of environment. The pho tastes good, although when we visited it on a friday late afternoon the brisket was sold out. Would recommend to come during lunch time :) The staff are friendly and knows basic english, they will point to the menu which has english descriptions as well. Worth the wait and worth the visit!

I recently dined at Pho 10 Ly Quoc Su, and I must say the pho was delightful! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The best part? The prices were reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food. Despite the small space, they have air conditioning, which is a blessing in the hot weather. However, due to their popularity, you might encounter a line of people waiting to be served. But trust me, the wait is worth it! The friendly staff and delicious pho make it a local favorite. I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!

Typical local restaurant for Pho. Both tourists and locals eat here. The service was very fast, 2 minutes after we ordered, we had the plate on our table. The waiters don't know English but it is easy to manage. The tables are often shared with other people. The Pho Tai Nam was excellent, even though some beef pieces had a lot of fat. The price is very affordable and a fair trade for the food, we paid 355k for 4 soups and 3 beers.
