Exceptional meal! The whole experience was delightful, from the service, to our drinks, and our food. We did not have a reservation but they gladly took us in before 8 as they close at 8:30. We got the Vietnamese traditional pre-fix 4 course meal which was one of the most delectable meals we had in our 2+ week trip in Vietnam. Highly recommend!!

Duong Dining as one of ten popular chef in Vietnam. The restaurant is located in Old Quarter area with the concept of Vietnamese fine dining with great atmosphere presented and good food created by famous chef. The ambience of the restaurant is quite good and nice and it is good for family gathering, meeting, dating or any events. It is better for you to reserve the tables as the restaurant is quite full for dinner time. By the way, the restaurant is closed at 22.00 pm therefore please prepare your time. The restaurant is also served for alcohol drinks, juice, etc and as compliment they served juice watermelon mixed and also carrot juice mixed with lemon and rose. The waiter is quite helpful even though not all of them can speak English fluently but they want to help. The menu is in Vietnamese and also English (you can read the description of foods even though no picture at the menu). They have appetizer such as Vietnamese Salad, spring roll and main course such as Sea Bass Grill, Duck in 2 sauce, Banh Mi (BBQ pork with vemicelli), Tenderloin Steak. The price range is little bit expensive. It is around VND 190,000 until VND 650,000. And also it need to add for government tax for 10% and service charge for 5%. However, it is good experience to eat there.

We took a cooking class here with Chef Bella and had such a wonderful time!! This place was recommended by our hotel and I’m so glad we went! We spent hours learning from our knowledgeable chef, we helped prepare the food and she also took us to the market to pick up some local ingredients. We enjoyed the ride to the market and enjoying some street food along the way, but the best part was eating our 3 dishes that we helped prepare! We can’t wait to try and recreate this at home. Thank you, Chef Bella and team!

Had the set menu - fish and BBQ pork. Excellent quality! The quantity is in the Asian size but that was sufficient for my wife and I. The fried spring rolls and beef soup (pho) were among the best we had!

Hier macht man nichts falsch. Der Service ist auch super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend.

Had a great evening with my dad here tonight. This is what we were looking for. Not every night as we wanted to try the street food but this was the place to go. The fresh spring rolls were the best spring rolls I have ever had - England need to learn! The Barbaque pork was a little too sweet but still an amazing dish and very well presented. Music was on a loop of one guitar song if you ask me would have stayed longer if it was changed up but amazing service and chat to Christina so thank you for the great conversation and chilled out attitude!

Totally agree with the Google mates. , this place deserves a great rating. The place is classy and service very good. The best presentation of food l seen so far. Their craft beer abit on the high side (price) but definitely worth it.

Tried the traditional menu 1 and 2. Spring rolls, pho and bun cha were absolutely amazing. The catfish was less my vibe, but was still prepared in a very nice way and the vegetables inside it were delicious. Decent place at an affordable price if you want to discover some of the local cuisine

I have eaten various Vietnamese dishes, but this restaurant was the best, including the presentation. I went in for dinner because it was early, but I think it's better to make a reservation. The price is higher than usual, but I think it's perfect for dinner on your last day.

My partner and I took a morning cooking class here with Chef Bella and had a lovely experience. We enjoyed the detailed cooking tips and demonstration that Bella provided. Bella had good English language skills, so it was easy to communicate. We also had fun helping to prepare the dishes (we made pho, fried spring rolls and bun cha). We had a great time doing a tour of the nearby Dong Xuan Market to buy some ingredients for the dishes we were making. We got to sample a variety of fresh produce and local snacks at the market. The final dishes were delicious and very generously portioned for lunch!

We were recommended by our hotel front desk, it’s an amazing dinner! Servers (Loan&Alec) are very attentive and initiated to teach us how to enjoy its traditional dish in Vietnamese way. We ordered 3 appetizer(fried spring roll/Vietnamese pancake/pork with sugar cane and rice paper), Vietnamese pancake is full of squid and shrimp, if you are seafood lover please try! Highly recommend to try its beef in bamboo with sticky rice and pan fried fish with noodles, every bits of ingredients make the dish stand out! They open late until 10 pm, brilliant choice to try!

Simply the best!! From the moment you near this restaurant, you'll be greeted by the sweetest hostess ever. Then you'll be brought to your table, shortly after which your server will arrive. We got the charming Henry. He was just so helpful and informative. He promised that we would love the special Vietnamese pancake and he was spot on! With a simple demonstration, we were having the time of our lives preparing our very own pancake rolls. And the food was simply delicious. The ingredients felt fresh and everything was cooked to perfection. We had the set course meal of the month. Everything was incredible. Henry explained every meal that was served. Presentation was top class and insta-worthy, if you might. The atmosphere is pleasant and lovely ambient lighting. The price is definitely on the higher side but so so worth every dollar spent. A MUST TRY when you come to Hanoi!!!

Overall the meal was good. The Banh Xeo was yummy but a bit greasy. The beef in bamboo was absolutely delicious as was the egg plant entree. The Papaya salad was a bit bland but overall, the meal was solid. Would recommend if you are looking for something a little higher end.

We ordered both kinds of traditional set, a glass of wine and two beers (Total around VND$1M). Wouldn’t say it’s the cheapest but the food was absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly too! Had a lovely time.

I found out about red bean from social media and decided to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday there, the best decision ever! The hospitality is exceptional, the ambiance of course was extra ordinary with their balcony view and roof top bar. The food was delicious and surprisingly very filling. Icing on the cake was the friendly nature of staff and their manager Scarlet. They gave us complimentary drinks, cake and plus the food was so affordable. Thank You Duong Dining making this day so special for me and my girlfriend.

In this restaurant they don’t just give you food but they teach you how to eat it too. They will put lots of different food in front of you and when they understand you don’t know how to start, they will show you how to prepare rice paper wrap. Good service. Cold beer. Acceptable atmosphere. Good total experience.

Exquisite fine dinning experience at an affordable price. The “Grilled Fish by Chef Duong” was a highlight. The catfish meat was fresh and bouncy, infused in a special sauce that will give your taste bud a multi dimensional sensations. The mocktails were beautifully designed and refreshing. Highly recommended!

Went to this serenely looking restaurant with a group of friends on a busy Hanoi street. It has a beautifully decorated interior, fusing the western modernistic with the Asian traditional architectural vibes. We order multiple starters, main courses and drinks. Boy they did not disappoint us, everything was intricately designed and cooked to perfection. They even offered a free dumpling, has a slight acidicity and citrus flavour to it, it was very palatable. The drinks were colorful but it wasnt just the design department that scored well, flavour was good as well. Main dishes had a fusion twist to it, but kept the Vietnamese flair to all the dishes. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned. The 2 ways duck had different textures and flavour profile, both were incredibly tender and delicious. The grilled fished by chef duong was the highlight of the extraordinary dining experience. It was grilled in front of us, and explained very carefully to us the history of Vietnamese culinary and intricacy of it. The catfish had a tint of sour taste, with a explosion of flavour once you bite into the fish meat. Guys, experience it yourself to believe it!

The food was amazing. The salmon with passion fruit sauce was fresh and delicious. The staff brought over surprises at the beginning and at the end. The staff was so nice and helpful. They spoke English very well and were easy to understand. I would highly recommend this place. The hot chocolate cake with cinnamon ice cream was amazing.

Great service!! I came with a friend and we ordered a Beef in coconut and Vietnamese style fish. It was so delicious and the service was marvelous. The staff was very kind and friendly. It was one of my best experiences in Vietnam. Definitely come here next time. Thank you Duong Dining for doing such a great service !!!

Great food … really, really nice. Complements to the chef. Improvement could be, not to serve the food as quickly as we had it. The main dish was served before we had finished the starter.

5/5 would recommend! Obviously on the pricier side (spent 1M VND total for 2 pax, set meals each, 1 glass of wine) but well worth for those who want a nicer atmosphere! Thought the pho would be comparable to others around but it was definitely of its own standard! Mains (pork and fish) were unique in their own way as well. Great service!

Thank you to Lucy who responded to our reservation, very proactively confirming if we like to dine at Duong Restaurant or Duong Fine Dining. She suggested the latter as it would allow us to visit the night market nearby after dinner. Jason made us feel very welcome throughout dinner, explaining each dish we ordered, showing us how it is eaten traditionally. The menu was not very extensive but we enjoyed every dish we ordered, the taste was delicate. Thank you.

We arrived at Duongs Dining restaurant hoping to have good Vietnamese food and good service. We had none of those. The waitress did not speak a word of English. The female manager, who spoke English apparently, was too lazy (read she did not care) to help out the waitress. We ordered fried spring rolls, mushroom soup, beef pho and two duck breasts a L’orange. They served us raw spring rolls (which they eventually replaced by fried ones) The mushroom soup wasn’t nice at all, I had the worse pho since in Vietnam (2weeks) the beef was uneatable, instead of serving us each our plate of duck, we received only one !!! The duck was chewy and with little taste and almost no sauce.we mentioned ordering 2 duck dishes, but no response. We asked to talk to the chef, the so called famous chef Duong, who does not even exist !!!! Our total bill was of 1.067.000 Dong and hardly ate anything !!! Beware of places like this, where they claim to have a reputable chef and none of this is true!!! It is a real scam! By the way, my boyfriend is a chef!

This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip to Hanoi with so many good reviews given by last diners. It turned out to be the biggest disappointment for us: - service by waiter was below par as he seemed impatient, unable to recommend dishes and showed attitude when asked to change bottle of wine. To top it off, when asked to help take a group pic, he brushed us off saying he's busy and will come back...which he never did. - food: most of the dishes in their surprisingly limited menu was below expectations including their tenderloin which was abit tasteless - Environment: was probably going to be the best score they can get...until we saw a rat a big as a cat running up and down the wall separated by a glass panel, frightening the ladies with it's sudden movements just 1m behind their seats. Was a great conversational piece for sure... Overall, things have probably gone downhill after the COVID and I truly hope that they will recover their standards.

Returning to the restaurant after 4 years. There's a lot of variation here. Do not expect the menu to have many new dishes, but there are dishes that I still eat again such as beef noodle soup and grilled pork bun cha. It is very very delicious. I remembered the restaurant all the way before I set foot in Hanoi with my wife. Young people are active and fun. Very professional service.
