Great way to get a taste of ha long bay. Paid 45 usd for a one day trip which included everything (transportation, lunch, entrance tickets etc). We booked the trip the day before by walking into an agency in Hanoi. On the bus apparently some people paid 40 and one 50 so it depends on whatever agency you use but we all had the same experience. They said they would pick us up at 830 from the hotel but it was really 8am so be ready downstairs. One complaint is they make you stop at a pearl farm for 45 mins on the way to the bay. It felt like such a waste of time and most of us were just standing there. No one took this tour because they want to buy pearls! Also they don't stop the bus on the way back from the bay so make sure you go before you leave. We got to make three stops in the bay: the caves, kayaking, and for Ti Top island. First two were great, third was ok

Halong bay was the most beautiful scenary i have ever seen. i reccomend aeveryone sees this once in their life. Simply breath taking!

Its advisable to do a one day cruise rather than spent 2 days ( overnight ) The one day cruise is exhausting with over 12 hours from hotel -cruise -hotel. Starts at 8 am from hotel ( old quarter ) and back to hotel in evening at 9.30pm They serve you lunch at 1ish with decent options for veg ( rice, noodles, soya sauce , French fries, salads , fried tofu, fruit ) Non veg has a good variety. End the cruise with fruits, French fries and tea / wine ( 1 miniature glass of wine )

This one-day tour was very well organized. I am impressed by the service and the cruise quality. Lunch and sunset tea set met my expectations. Halong Bay is definitely a must visit place. The view is really breathtaking. I booked the this one-day trip via Kkday.

Beautiful views but can easily be done in half day tour for anyone thinking about the overnight cruise.

Breath taking and absolutely beautiful. We took a smaller budget boat, which offered a seafood lunch. It was delicious. First stop was kayaking under a cave, second was hiking up and into a cave, last stop was Tip Top island. I recommend doing the hike on that island. Views are so worth the hike. Next time, I'll be staying in Ha Long.

Booked and confirmed hotel and date for pickup, but they didn't show, very disappointed as only in Hanoi for 1 day, they did apologise but only reason for visiting Hanoi.
