So, my wife and I planned our 21st wedding anniversary trip to Landoll's (actually she planned it and I showed up, lol) in April. Long story short, it was not at all what either of us expected. I had never had an experience like that before. When we returned home we reached out to management before leaving a very poor review. They asked that we come and stay again to see what they really had to offer. Wow, am I glad we did. I have nothing but great things to say about this trip. The "Landoll's Suit" was incredible! Very well done and clean. It had a very unique vibe to it. We had a couple of private outside sitting areas which was a very nice touch. It was quiet and peaceful (my wife must have mentioned "how peaceful it is" about 20 times). The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff was helpful and very attentive. After a poor restaurant experience the first trip, we tried that again also and was not left disappointed this time. Breakfast was awesome. Locally sourced syrup and homemade blueberry jam were both a pleasant surprise. We both ate every bite. I would highly recommend Landoll's Castle to anybody looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would like to conclude by saying that the complaints that we had after our first trip were taken very seriously by management. The room that we stayed in the first stay was completely revamped, taking our concerns into account and fixing them. I do not feel like most places take complaints as seriously as they do at Landoll's. Satisfaction is obviously their top priority.

Gorgeous setting, exterior landscaping and building very well-kept. However, that's where the honeymoon ended. Staff seemed disinterested at best, with the exception of Roger, our waiter at the Copper Mug. He was a delight! Room was beautiful, but poorly maintained. Blood stain on the coverlet of the bed, dripping shower head was maddening at night, freezer was all frosted over, sink drain was mostly clogged, toilet didn't flush well, cracked sink, and the tub jets and body sprays were broken with a sign saying 'please don't use'. The pool area was very cool, but the "hot tub" was essentially a hot bath. I asked how to turn on the jets, they said "There are none, the water just 'percolates'". It HAD jets, they were just not functional. The Copper Mug Restaurant was disappointing as well. From the apathetic hostess to the indifferent manager, I've had better service at Bob Evans. While waiting for a table, we sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged or offered a drink. I get it, places are understaffed, but to have waitstaff literally standing in front of you without as much as a hello is just weird. And lastly, the bathroom was filthy, just to add to the experience. Overall, for the HUGE price tag, this was a colossal disappointment. I'd try Glen Laurel in Hocking Hills, similar price, so much better.

This is my first time here and it was an exceptional stay. We ate a copper mug for breakfast and for dinner, and both times were very tasty. The blueberry jam is out of this world. It was a little unfortunate that the pool wasn’t fully operational, especially as we had scheduled the afternoon visit for it, but the hotel staff did make it right and they provide the charcuterie board despite the pool, not being fully operational. The room we were in the Lawrence suite was very nice as clean as well kept and it just made us feel like we’re inside the castle there was a very unique stay. We do anticipated plan to come back, we are looking for fall playing October this time so excited to see how it looks with the fall foliage. Again, overall a very nice stay and something we’d recommend!

My Husband and I were staying in Loudonville and decided to have dinner at the castle. I called to make a reservation and even though it was not necessary, the very pleasant receptionist took our name and time. The castle is set back off of a scenic winding road and appears like a storybook fantasy land out of nowhere. We entered the restaurant and were greeted immediately by Derek (our waiter), who sat us at a lovely outdoor table. The menu was intimately diverse with a nice variety of appetizers, entrees and side options. We ordered the pork schnitzel and beef short ribs all with a generous serving of amazing complimentary sides. As our food arrived, we were impressed by the portion size and presentation and even more so by the flavor of everything we had ordered. What a wonderful meal from start to finish. Derek was so professional and very attentive to our needs. He was also extremely personable and took some time to chat in between his excellent service. After the meal was over, we walked over to the castle and were able to see several rooms and climb to the observation tower. We took several pictures and plan on sharing them with our family. The castle is a true gem and we hope to visit again when we are back in the area.

This was the BEST stay-cation for mid-Ohioans! We love spooky stuff so this was right up our alley. Driving through the hills of this area of the state to get here was a treat. The restaurant was excellent, casual but high quality food. The rooms were clean and tastefully done. The staff were very helpful and the ghost tour was fantastic.

We booked a room for a couple of nights during the winter and it was absolutely wonderful. The room we stayed in was amazing, and the lights on around the castle glowing off of the snow makes the whole place look spectacular. Highly recommend during the winter if you are wanting a Hallmark-esque winter weekend getaway!

A Father of the bride review August 25th, 2023. Awesome, amazing, and very professional. Joe and Buffy didn't miss a beat. Organization was great. Ceremony was smooth, cocktail hour was just a perfect transition from the ceremony and then the reception was timed flawlessly from introductions, to Chef prepared dinners to speeches. I can't say enough about our (both families) experience with the way the whole day went down. From 8:30am until 11pm it was an orchestrated day of perfection which in my experience is rare in the service industry. The grounds were beautiful and the staff knocked it out of the park. All of our guests were blown away. We brought our own decorations to set-up reception which were amazing. So much so the management offered to buy it all for future events. Daddy's girl got her dream wedding. Fairy tales do come true, it can happen to you. Thanks again to our amazing staff, bartenders, chef and coordinator's.

My now husband and I had our wedding at the castle and I cannot rave enough about the whole experience. Judson, the head chef, is phenomenal at his job and even made sure to come out and greet us on our wedding day to make sure everything was to our liking. Brittanie, our wedding coordinator, was basically our rock during the whole process. She was easy to communicate with and was always available to answer any questions we had. Our guests had an amazing time, the food was wonderful, the late night pool party was a huge success and the late night snack package was an absolute hit! Can’t recommend Landoll’s enough!

We took a long weekend break here. We had a room in the Stables and while it was comfortable, it was nothing exceptional for the price. It had a jacuzzi tub, and it was spacious. The bed was comfortable. There is no microwave in the room, but it is located in the middle of the Stables building, along with ice and snack machines. The shared patio is really a sidewalk with a cafe table and chairs. The view was nice, and there is a walking path that takes you to the cemetery. The main building is gorgeous and rooms there appear to be more upscale than the Stables. There was a comedy show Saturday night which includes dinner for the price. It was a fun night out, meal not bad, entertaining. We would probably stay here again, but maybe try for one of the more special rooms. The on-site restaurant is a plus.

Attended a wedding this last Saturday at the castle and it was truly a wonderful experience. Staff was awesome especially Kristine the event bartender who worked so hard and kept us laughing. The midnight pool and hot tub party was a great way to conclude the evening. Fun had by all!!!

this is a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! we went on a girl's weekend ..stayed in the stable rooms ..very ,very nice! did a murder mystery dinner ...food was very good! we stopped at the bar before dinner it was amazing also! I can't say that for the actors of the murder mystery! it was not well planned out ,poor acting ,poor story ,boring boring boring! could not follow what was going on .I will NEVER nor will the other three girls EVER attend anything that the CANDLELIGHT PLAYERS are putting on! it was just super confusing ,boring, and quite frankly stupid! But if u get a chance to stay or just visit the Castle do so! You won't be disappointed! it's beautiful!

We did not stay here but just came to this beautiful place to visit and look around. There was an event going on but still a few rooms where open to walk around to and visit. Each room is different from the others. It was a nice little area to just see. Beautiful architecture and landscape.

I only went to see it and have lunch. This place is gorgeous. They were preparing for a wedding. This would be a nice place for a couples getaway! I had a late lunch at The Copper Mug Bar and Grill. Had a side salad, Spring rolls and the white peach Sangria…good portions, great food, nice people and that Sangria was the best I’ve ever had!!
