This place is disgusting! There is no other way to put it. Upon our arrival going to our room you can see the section 8 people hanging around. Asking for handout! The room was missing Sheetrock in the bathroom, the pillow cases had hair on it. No blanket just a thin sheet. Room smelled moldy. Only good thing is the stores are nearby. Otherwise save your money and go somewhere else.If I had a cardboard box I would had fathered stayed their. Never again not even for free!

Before I rant i want it known I take pride in writing positive reviews regularly. This hotel is disgusting. There is mold not only in the bathroom ceiling but in the room as well. There was old food in the refrigerator from whom ever stayed here before us. The bath tub had 12 in long hair all over the bath tub and I’m bald as you can get. When I wondered to the ice and vending machine there were 2 hobos using it as there own room. My room mate also saw this in the morning as well as the evening. The floor under the bed looks like my toddlers room covered in crumbs and trash. They have zero alcohol policy, witch we kindly followed however the strong aroma of cannabis Reeks of all over the hotel from the rooms to the lobby. Lastly and most important “Sue” the very large women at the front desk is as hospitable as a city Rat. She is rude to every single person who walks in the door. I watched her brush off the complaint of the stranger in-front of me. She was also rude and short tempered with me as well. When I identified who I was and who sent me she literally rolled her eyes at me. Keeping in mind I have never met this women in my life. Her counter part was as equally friendly with the other guest checking in. This hotel is hands down the worst environment I have stayed in my entire life. I release red roof is a cheaper place to stay but there is absolutely zero excuse for Cleanliness and hospitality!

There were signs everywhere that it was a smoke free area. The room stank of smoke. There were people on the balcony smoking. The toilet definitely was not cleaned. The towels also reeked of smoke. I noticed some water on the floor by the sink so I wiped it up with a white towel. It was no longer white, it was BLACK. Which means they didn't wash the floor which was vinyl. I walked around barefoot and noticed the bottom of my feet were BLACK! There were hot rodders racing in the parking lot next door til late. There were also some scary looking characters lurking about. The clerk was rude and unfriendly. There were cigarette burns on the bedspread. There was black mold around the handicapped bars in the tub. All in all a horrid place. I find it quite aggravating to read so many rants and yet the owners do nothing!

There were no hotels in three states as we traveled last night! We finally found this motel. The photos looked great online, but the room in person was a different story. Disgusting doesn’t even touch it! The beds were made pretty, but lamp shades were stained, floors were gross, and there was hair and what looked to be a bed bug crawling on the floor under the bed. Spider in a web behind the night table. The bathroom was grimy. I told my girls not to touch anything, that we would have to sleep in the car. SMH! I was refunded my $131 promptly. Never again! I hope management will start inspecting their rooms and make sure their staff do their jobs from now on. Bad photo but it looked exactly like a bed bug!

Front desk employees are very rude and unprofessional. They made me leave because I stayed there 28 days in a row after I just pre paid for additional week by credit card. I wasn’t aware that you can not stay there for more than 28 days but I left without a issue and they said I would be refunded in 3 to 5 days for days I didn’t stay but here it is almost 2 months later and I haven’t received any refund. I have spoke to the front desk employee and the manager at least 5 times and they are stating that they refunded the money to the card they had on file. I said that is not true I asked for the last 4 digits of the card number and they weren’t from the card I used to pay for the nights nor was it from a card I ever had. I asked for the name on the card and they wouldn’t give it to me . The front desk employees went on to say that they have a confirmation number for the refund but would not share it with me. I went on to explain there is definitely a mistake. And the lady got very loud and extremely rude towards me. I asked her what I did wrong in this situation! I prepaid by credit card and they made me check out early which I did without a problem and patiently waiting for my refund which never came and they supposedly refunded some card that is not mine and refused to do anything else to correct the situation. I own a construction company and frequently use hotels when I have jobs to far from home and have never experienced anything like this! I could not believe the way I was being treated. Not sure what I should do next

This is one of the worst hotels I have been. From beginning, I stepped into the room and found out that the room wasn’t cleaned. The trash 🗑️ bins were full and I guess they were left from previous guest. You will see their pictures as well. The secondly, the bathroom sink was clogged and the water was accumulated as you wash your hands or tooth brushing . That’s nasty. Cleanliness is absolutely not their thing at all. We paid $109 for one night to stay this disgusting hotel. Finally the sheets were not clean too. There were some dog or cat hair on the bed sheets. Please stay away from them.

Every inch of the 100% smoke free room stank of smoke. Especially the sheets. The door was not secure and difficult to open. the handle was upside down and the security bolt didnt rest against the door but, a few inches away from it rendering it useless. The shower was extremely moldy. I feel extremely ill after our stay and will be looking elsewhere for a room next time I'm in the area.

I'm a little disappointed with this trip. Usually, this is my favorite spot to come because of the decent price and the clean rooms! However, I noticed a big difference upon getting the double bedroom instead of the king bedroom. The room quality was not great. It reeked of cigarette smoke in what should have been a 100% smoke-free room, there was mold in the bathroom, and both the lock on the door and the bolt lock looked like they were nearly torn off. This is not the usual quality I receive when coming here, and it's a shame. :c

First off the location was very sketchy Second of all the rooms were super dirty the vending machine dispenses exchange in Nichols. The sheets were dirty service was fine, but the shower and bathroom was gross including the pool was a trash dump. Also, I can’t forget to add that the bedsheets were extremely dirty, and the light switches and plugs were not tightly in place.

Rooms are 30 years overdue for a thorough makeover. Bathroom door had been kicked in and repaired many times and would not close. Mattress completely worn out with springs poking through. Plywood stuffed under the mattress in a futile attempt to squeeze more life out of it. The shower did not drain properly and the floors were very dirty. No bargain, in fact, overpriced for what is offered

The Property needs better landscaping and guest need to be more considerate when walking pets to scoop and toss in proper disposal of pets waste. The rooms were dated somewhat but happy to announce the last time I stayed there the rooms were being stripped of dated furniture replaced by much better furniture with a much better atmosphere however the front desk staff can use personality adjustments but I don't have a problem speaking up if you feel like you can talk down to me surely to mirror your image does the trick every time. Maid service good job.

Just meh. We weren't looking for anything fancy and we found it. We were ground level and there appeared to be a slight gap under the door seal and floor which allowed bugs to sneak in. There were quite a few including the centipede that woke me up 😬 I can't say I enjoyed that. The room appeared fairly clean otherwise, perhaps not used recently. Just be aware.

Steve Duncan 1/5 2 minutes ago on Google First of all I think the government should look into some of these reviews and finally start a very serious control and or closer to some of these nasty and disgusting hotels where people is been ripped off every day for the looks of fake photos and introductions. my family and I was passing through and stop for one night which was the worst mistake we made for that weekend trip , my kids got sick just by being there for that short space of time, the pillow and towels was missing, call the front desk and was told that the laundry close , the none smoking is faults and the rooms worth maybe 30 dollars if so much , if we could of somehow gotten back our money that night we would have gone but because the scamming is so highly over rated in a lot of these states that it becomes a major business for these so call owners to keep doing what to they does best and just send you a response at the end of every negative review saying they are sorry to hear, how much sorry to hear does it take for this to be corrected,,, the very worst hotel I have ever stayed , all negative review are spot on I will never come back here or recommend

It's a red roof let's be real. Price is good. Location isn't bad. It's one of the better red roof inns I've stayed at. But stuff was broken, the rooms stink, and the guy at the front desk just doesn't give a sh!t. The woman I had later was nice.

There's no way to put a positive spin on what transpired during our brief 20 minute visit. Had to pay in advance for room that wouldn't pass a sanitation inspection. The staff attempted to mask disgusting odors with incense and fabuloso. It reeked enough that we both felt suffocated by the scents. The place was obviously dirty and our neighbor was smoking weed right outside the door. I didn't feel comfortable staying. I immediately went back to the office and was told no one was authorized to refund my money!! I would have to contact the manager The following day!!I was told it's not a five Star hotel by the staff after I told them this wasnt acceptable. There's better places to stay in the area. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

Upon entering the motel lobby we were told rudely checkout time was at 3:00, we arrived at 2:30, just asked if there was any availability for 4 rooms, was told by lady at the front desk, she could not check she was busy doing her checkouts… young man came in & started checking us in .. my husband & I got room #216 the door did not lock, went back to the front desk again told by the front desk lady we must not know how to use the locks ( not my first time staying in a motel),we had to leave to go to a memorial service for our brother in law, was told lock would be fixed, it was not, finally given a new room , this was on was disgusting smelled nasty, cat food on the floor, mold on bathroom ceiling, worn out mattress, hubby slept in chair cause it was so uncomfortable! Really need to do some improvements to this hotel…would not recommend staying here!

I do not know how this place has a 3 star rating. The smoke free rooms stink like cigarettes and mold. The rooms are old and dirty. I feel like I need gloves to touch anything and I’m sleeping in my car tonight instead of this dirty room. No exaggeration !!!!! Do not spend your hard earned money here.

Room was not anything close to the pictures portraying what rooms looked like on the website. It was fairly clean but very run down. Holes in walls, dark, overall not a great looking room. Due to the appearance of the room we felt the need to do a thorough check for bed bugs, we didn’t find any (luckily) but did find a meth pipe under the bed. That pretty much sums up the experience. We also weren’t given an actual comforter, just a sheet and a very very think decorative cover. Overall, would not stay here again. This hotel was extremely overpriced for what you are getting. I would pay a max of 50$ a night for this room. It does seem like they are making some outside upgrades happen but they also worked past 6pm and it was super noisy. Especially since we were given a room directly next to the workers instead of front desk staff trying to assign rooms that were on the other side of the construction areas.

What a horrible place to stay! The room was super dirty and super stinky and no windows to open. The AC is from past century, probably from beginning of 90s or earlier and in horrible conditions. The sheets, pillows, blanket all of this was dirty and also stank. And pellets all over sheets and pillows. And the price of the room was about $90 after all discounts. This place is more of a horrible homeless shelter and should be free. How these hotels are able to operate? Who is responsible for this?

Red Roof Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this building. Night staff not very friendly. My non-smoking room absolutely reeked of cigarettes....to the point I couldn't breathe very good. Horribly stained bedspread. I put the pillows inside t-shirts because I didn't want them touching my face. Stains on the very dirty carpet.....with the appearance of 'bodily fluids', if you get my drift. Large piece of molding missing in bathroom. Saying this place is a dump is being too nice. You can mingle with the local section-8 folks who live in the hotel full time. Don't bring your family here. Stay here as an absolute LAST RESORT.

I was here a few weeks and have been meaning to review the place ever since: I give it five stars. It was clean and comfortable, in a convenient location, first digit of the price was a five, and the clerk on duty at 11PM was a really nice-looking Asian woman. What more could a man who travels often and far from home want from a motel?

  • 1/5 Katie F. 1 year ago on Google
Had it not been for the fact that we were 5 hours past due to get to this hotel and at 330 am at that due to travel hiccups, I wouldn't even have bothered Checking in. Not worth $90. Smells awful with no way of airing out and although it seems to appear clean. I feel like I'm gonna leave here with a staff infection. Not worth it and not even sure I can fall asleep after 24 hrs of traveling

Not as bad as you'd think but it was still pretty bad. Cheap cost for a cheap room. REPLY: it's not that it was bad, it's that multiple main functions in my room appeared to be having problems such as the key card scanner at the door. However I will say I heard from a colleague that they had bed bugs so I would sincerely recommend more frequent cleanings for all rooms

I had a great time service was wonderful and the other guest were very kind as well. I did think it was kind of weird when my mirrors reflection started moving on its own, I could take it or leave it. But being able to step outside and get some fresh air was great.

Just went today to this hotel. Paid 112$ per 1 night. Went to my room and I found a dog paw on the blanket. I asked the receptionist if I could cancel it and she said they wouldn’t give me a refund. So, she gave me another room. I found hair in the sink, and hair on the blankets. Just spent 20 mins in there because it smelled kinda bad. I went to the lobby to give the keys back, 2 dirty bedrooms and they didn’t give me a refund. It ruined my trip to Pennsylvania. Don’t visit this hotel.

Very nice ppl, friendly. For being next to a main road and having an airport Rt down the road,it was quiet outside and inside the room. Check in is at 3pm,we got there an hour early and was able to get in our room. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is because the mirrors had noticeable streaks in them and there was dust on the microwave, desk,tv,stand and dresser. Even with those things mentioned,we will definitely stay there again!! As a matter of fact,we’ll be booking a room in May so see you guys then!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had stayed in this Inn for a couple of nights and I bought a long two of my beloved cats. One was a 3-month-old and the other one was a 2 year old. I had left my room shortly to go down and get some lunch and when I returned maid service had entered my room unannounced even though DO NOT DISTURB was clearly displayed on the outside of my hotel door. When the maids entered my room my two cats escaped. They had called animal control to have them picked up!!! I was furious. I called the police and was told to get in touch with Lehigh Valley Animal Control and they were not helpful at all. The only response that I received is that "we don't have them" Here I am nearly one month later without my cats and I am devastated. My heart is absolutely broken in two. I cannot find them and I don't know what I can do. I want to sue this hotel! How dare they? This is supposed to be an animal friendly hotel? Take heed to all the people that are reading this. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. I have called all the animal shelters in Allentown and still I cannot find my little fur babies.

The rooms are small and sketchy. The employees were very direct. The shower tub is dirty and gross, but they have pumps for shampoo, body wash, hand soap and lotion. The bed is springy and the pillows are flat and not very cushiony. It's right next to a shopping center, though. Not the worst place i've ever been but definitely nowhere close to the best. It's on the cheaper side, but I'd say you should pay extra for something a little better. There are plenty of other hotel options close by.

absolutely disappointed , it was a waste off money. The bathroom was the most horrifying dirtiest of all. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. The place looked and smelled like it hadn't been clean. Front desk attendant was either having a really bad night or that's just normal to treat paying customers with no courtesy or common hospitality. If dealing with people isn't your thing then this is really not a job for you. So disappointed at the fact that I expected more from this chain of hotels

This place is not clean and is more like a trap motel. The guest service ppl are hit or miss here. Some are nice others rude. However the blond lady with glass at the front desk is super nice and very helpful.

  • 2/5 M S. 1 year ago on Google
One of our rooms smelled like smoke and the other wasn’t cleaned (towels on the floor). There was also suspicious activity going on in the hotel grounds (a hotel guest asking if someone wanted to make extra money to get their “oil changed”). We had no choice but to leave the hotel. Fortunately, the manager refunded our rooms accordingly. If it wasn’t for the suspicious activity and room cleanliness I would have given this hotel a five star review, as it is in a convenient location (near restaurants, Route 22, attractions, and the airport) and fairly priced.

  • 1/5 Jess B. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel was very dirty , the suspicious activity outdoors was a bit much too . The rooms smelled so bad like cigarettes... the beds were clean & comfy.. we were passing through needed a few hours of rest .... very disappointed ... I went to local store for 2 bottles of air freshener sprayed room an left to dinner an smell of cigarettes still ..... these rooms need major over hauling. Red roof cooperation needs to help this place or take there franchise name away....

The rooms are ok. I had a problem with my key every single day. How hard is it to program a key correctly. Ideal for airport, restaurants, descent stores. Location is the best part

  • 3/5 Lori B. 1 year ago on Google
Positives: truck parking, near restaurants and grocery/sundry stores, sheets/bathroom adequate cleanliness, tv/cable decent. Has fridge and microwave. Negatives: needs a LOT of updating, heat/ac/fan wouldn't stay on, door deadbolt needs changed, pillows need replaced as they were very flat, room smelled like a stale smoking room from the 1970s. There is nothing by way of breakfast other than coffee in the lobby (didn't try, brought my own). Wear socks or house slippers (get a pair at Ollie's) in the room. Floor was rather sticky. Only stayed there because of the truck parking. No other hotel has space.

  • 1/5 Belinda B. 1 year ago on Google
Do not recommend. Rooms are disgusting. After driving all day and just wanting to get some rest for the evening we walked into a non smoking room which smelled of old smoke and mold. Paint was peeling off the walls and the general feel was dirty and gritty. Asked to get a refund and was offered a room switch. New room the same but upstairs past all the partying guests (on both floors). We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. We were told to call the manager in the morning ro request a refund and have called multiple times...yet to get a call back after messages left or get him on the phone.

  • 1/5 Pat K. 1 year ago on Google
All the negative reviews are spot on - this place is terrible. My non-smoking room wreaked of smoke and didn’t have microwave or refrigerator. The air conditioner was loud and very dirty - looked like mold growing on it. The bathroom shower had a used washcloth (with holiday inn monogram) hanging on the shower curtain rod and 1 towel hanging above the toilet - which made me think it may not be un-used. With the empty soap wrappers laying on the floor perhaps they didn’t clean this room, although there was a pile of new soap and shampoo sitting on the edge of the tub. After reading some of the older reviews it’s obvious to me that this hotel doesn’t care to improve. I do not recommend staying here.

I had an amazing stay here! To was Immaculate, bed was so comfortable. I booked through Priceline and saved a lot of money 🤑 The staff was very nice. The only thing I'd complain about is....no breakfast and the coffee is very weak.

  • 3/5 Peter J. 1 year ago on Google
I have been staying in a lot of motels over the past year. This one is in a decent location. There seem to be a lot of weekly guests. I had to do some room cleaning to satisfy my basic needs. The desk clerk was receptive to my praise of a good night's rest and to my complaints, which were minor, but still relevant. At this price point, I don't expect perfection, but I need and appreciate a clean room. This one just needed some attention but was not out of bounds!

For it's price ( not holiday or weekend)Red roof inn hotels are a different type of hotel,,, but this Red Roof Inn in Allentown, PA airport is pretty great. It has conveniences such as dollar stores and grocery stores close by, food in the area until closing time. It's near the airport and a movie theater in the back, If you're staying for more than a couple days, the sheets are not the best, but they are in order. The rooms are clean. No immediate visible bugs but some work and updating could be done. The pros of this Red roof is that they have an elevator unlike many other red roofs. I would recommend staying here if passing through town. They also have truck parking in the northeast part of the parking lot. The area feels safe but always be aware of your surroundings. ( No breakfast, no pools) Pros; Airport is close, plenty of food options, elevator, movie theater in walking distance, truck parking, good tv reception and channels. Cons; smaller size rooms, small fridge if you buy food, non smoking hotel but some people don't care, rooms need some maintenance ( wash walls, fix light fixtures)
