Did not have a great experience, which was especially disappointing since I normally have good experiences at the Marriott branded hotels. My profile and booking notes said I needed a feather free room. I even chatted with the desk through the app two days before my arrival to confirm they saw the booking notes and they I had been assigned a feather free room. When I was checking in and trying to confirm with the desk, the person checking me in kept interrupting me as I was speaking, confirming my room had been double checked. They then told me I would have to check and then call down, which is the most ridiculous thing in my opinion. I have gone to great lengths to ensure my needs, due to a pretty serious feather allergy, have been communicated to the hotel, and then I'm being told I'll have to check myself which puts my health at risk at a hotel that's $300 a night. So I check myself and all of my pillows were feather. It took nearly an hour to get 4 replacement pillows. I have never been more disappointed while staying at a Marriott. Additionally the next morning, even though I had late check out, housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:15am and 9:00am while I was on conference calls, which was very extremely inconvenient. If you want good customer service, don't stay here.

Excellent trip. Went here for a stay during a soccer tournament. We had our room with 4 in total. And our family friends came as well. In another room. Food was great. Breakfast was a plus. Rooms were quite lovely. The stay in all was well worth it. would definitely come back again. ! Thank you Marriott for the great stay.

The hotel looks like it was recently renovated, the rooms were clean, inviting, and relaxing. Comfortable bed, decent shower, pretty much all you need for a business trip! The M Lounge has small soda cans, and not too much in the way of snacks outside of eating hours. They had the normal tea and coffee station. Hopefully not a trend other Marriott's are following. Service was good, very welcoming. I was here on business, it served the purpose. $15 to park per night is extreme, especially as the signs say you do so at your own risk. If I'm paying, you should secure the lot.

Just stayed here over the weekend. The room and bed were fine. However, they charge $15 (plus tax!) to park in a huge lot - and at my own risk! They take no responsibility for any damage. What's the charge for?! When you Google hotels near Dover, on the Hanover Marriott hit, it says "free parking"! Not only is charging for parking terrible but they falsely advertise that parking is free.

Beautiful and clean. They need to update the room photos since they don't have carpet any more. The pub downstairs was amazing. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. You can control the room temp which is a major plus. The beds were very comfortable.

I've come to the Marriott for the event held this past weekend and I have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly. Especially in the restaurant which is always packed. The rooms and grounds are clean and very well maintained. There are other restaurants in close driving distance if you are interested in dining out. I would highly recommend staying at the Hanover Marriott when in the area.

Didn't have a great experience here from the offset. The staff member greeting us at the front desk - Tara - was pretty rude and standoffish from the moment we walked in. Granted it was incredibly late, but it surprised me considering Marriott Hotels are usually part of the upper tier in terms of brand and reputation. I'd called the hotel the day before to request a late checkout (if available) as I am a Marriott Bonvoy cardholder and Amex Platinum holder. The woman said it wouldn't be an issue and as soon as we mentioned it to the woman at the desk, her response was a flippant "be a Gold member and then you'll get late checkout". Overall not impressed in the slightest and will not be staying again.

On day 6 of a 26 night stay for work training. Google shows pictures of a very nice pool, and hotel advertises a nice gym but neither are open. The pool is closed “indefinitely,” and the gym is under renovation. They do have day passes to a local gym if needed but super inconvenient. Laundry is also under renovation. I chose this hotel knowing I would have to do laundry during my very long stay, and now have to find a laundromat. Very disappointed. My room is small, and while I requested a non-adjoining room, mine is connected to the one next door and the doors are very thin. A person in that room talking at a very normal level can be heard clearly. Breakfast is expensive and not included, and the hotel charges $15 a day for parking, which seems absurd considering it’s not near a major airport nor shares its parking lot with any other venues. Overall, not thrilled. The only saving grace to this hotel is the Auld Shebeen Pub. Food is great, service is fantastic. Mike, Lauren, Tony, Felicia and Clay are all amazing and the pub is busy every night. The restaurant, pool, gym and laundry were the main reasons I chose this hotel for my training, so I guess 1 out of 4 is all I’m getting. Only reason for the three stars is the restaurant and it’s fantastic staff. I’ll likely choose somewhere else for my next training event.

If you ever plan to host a wedding or large event here - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The place is great but the sales team or the process to book is what needs a lot of work. You cannot rely on them for weddings or large events. My family and I were planning to host our wedding events here and they were aware of our high level of interest. Instead they completely ignored us. 2 whole weeks - all points of contacts ignored. Email, phone, extensions. It wasn’t even possible for us to book since they did not want to talk to us. After arguing with reception, we got referred to management where they decided to te us that the main courtyard we wanted is booked. What looks like what happened was they leveraged our interest in the venue. After ignoring us for 2 weeks, they had the nerve to tell us that we have a SINGLE DAY to decide if we still want to book the room block. They told us this on this recent Friday. Still unclear on how to get back to them since they don’t respond. Beyond frustrated and annoyed with the sales team. What a joke. Is there someone from management or corporate I can discuss this with? We still want to book but not sure how.

I was recently attending a convention at this hotel. The room where the event was help was uncomfortably FREEZING! For a 2 day event it made for a miserable time. I wore two shirts and a jacket each day all day. I told the front desk and they didn't seem to care. The room had terrible lighting. Only small random lights. The staff could be more friendly. WOULDN"T RECOMMEND

We were there for a wedding. Hotel allowed us to check-in very early - much appreciated. Ample parking for guests. Well decorated lobby with seating area. Three fast elevators. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly staff.

I was here for just one night for training at CAE. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and and we'll maintained. If you will be training at CAE, it is about a 5 minute Uber ride.

The cooked food taste awful. The rooms kept dirty. Tires were stolen at parking lot. No security on the parking lots. The loaded dock is kept messy. There are pests outside.

Very accommodating and helpful staff. My room was very well kept, the service staff was prompt and very helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Make sure to stop by for dinner at The Auld Shebeen Pub! They will take good care of you.

I had a variety of issues and cannot recommend Hanover Marriott, especially for the base price and how they hit you with extra costs. To their credit, the staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was nice and the bed was comfortable, but the room was nothing special. Extra costs: Overnight parking is $15/night. Ridiculous for a suburban hotel with a large lot. Breakfast buffet is not included, but $20/person. Selection is surprisingly limited, food is average to mediocre, and the coffee was horrible, undrinkable. Building and maintenance issues: My initial room was on the first floor, and I heard noise from the lobby past midnight as people lingered after their event. I switched rooms the next day to the second floor, but that room had a clogged shower and sink, a partially broken bathroom door, and a bizarre old speaker built into the wall that made a constant buzzing noise. The staff told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. The door leading to the stairs on the main floor was also partially broken. I went for a wedding, and the ballroom was large and nice, as were the other event rooms. However, I would not stay here again.

The hotel has been updated and there is no longer carpet in the bedrooms which is very nice. The restaurant closes early but you can always order outside if the hotel. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I will be visiting again next year.

Nice hotel. Clean, well maintained, awesome comfortable beds and pillows. I prefer a carpeted floor, they had wood floors but a few rugs around. My toes were cold lol. Nice clean bathroom and amenities. There is a breakfast lunch type restaurant, as well as a full service restaurant and bar inside. It's an Irish pub. Good location, other restaurants in the area.

What a nightmare. We had opened our hotel room block for our wedding and first off, people tried to book online and said no rooms were available. Hmmm thats weird but maybe a tech issue? No. They then called the hotel to book the room instead, to which EVERY single person working told our guests there are no available rooms on the block. SO, when we checked our block a month in and we noticed no one was booking our rooms, we thought that’s weird so we started reaching out to some guests. They had told us the staff said no rooms were available so they decided to book at another hotel/airbnb. Ultimately meaning we had to pay for any extra rooms. Luckily they fixed this issue, but thats not where the problems end. Secondly, I had a guest that thought it would be funny to try and see where my husband and I were staying. So, she used a hallway phone to call the front desk and say “hi, I’m Lexie and I can’t find my room. I am a little tipsy, what’s my room number?” And they just GAVE it to her. No verification, no security, just flat out gave the number. What if this were a creeper, ex, or ANYONE trying to find where we were staying? That’s disturbing and honestly they should know better. What a complete breach of security. The staff should be ashamed.

Nice enough hotel. Many things are dated and old. My shower was so slow to drain that I was standing in over ankle deep water. The staff at the front desk is super rude in the evening. Also the pool is never available.

Good hotel. Restaurant/pub attached. Didn't use any of the amenities. Tim was clean. Want a fan of bon adjustable shower head. Otherwise, comfortable bed.. Have to drive or uber. Not walkable to other locations. Have to cross large highway.

This is the worst Marriot I’ve ever stayed at. 1. The front desk staff Hatem was absolutely rude. As if we were doing a favor for him staying at this hotel. 2. They charge for parking. They’re not even close to a train station or a bus stop. 3. The coffee machine and the refrigerator in the room don’t work. 4. Stains on the bedding. I stayed here to attend a wedding and also heard that other guests had a similar experience. I do not recommend planning your weddings here because the management here has forgotten what good hospitality means. You don’t want your guests to be treated this way.

I usually stay at the Bridgewater Marriott, very clean rooms, updated facilities, friendly and courteous staff. This time I had to be closer to my work so I decided to stay at this location. Last time I stayed at this location was about two years ago, well the place has not changed. I had forgotten how bad the place was and still is.The room had a very noisy and dirty refrigerator which i unplugged during the night. The carpeting had leftover food under the desk, bathroom hot water lever was very loose. The coffee maker smelled terrible. You can tell that the bathroom was never sanitized. I had some Clorox wipes so I cleaned the TV remote, door handles, and bathroom fixtures. Will never stay again. Definitely will drive extra 20 miles from Bridgewater Marriott to my work. To add insult to injury they charge for parking. At Bridgewater they give me a room at the concierge floor level. That gets me free glasses of wine, food, breakfast and no parking fee.

Hotel was very nice! We are here for 3 nights! Staff seemed very nice! Rooms clean! The restaurant in the hotel was AMAZING!!! Had an issue with the mini fridge not working twice and they put another mini fridge in so we had no other issues with it! My only complaint which is why I gave 4 stars is that our room was connected to the next room by a thin door! Our neighbors were sooooo loud till the middle of the night! So loud that it literally sounded like they were in our room! They were obnoxiously loud which made sleeping a nightmare! We put music on to try to sleep and that hardly helped! I’ve never experienced anyone so loud so late at a hotel luckily, until now! For the price we paid it’s extremely disappointing to have to deal with this! We mentioned it to a worker who apologized but nothing was done about it! I’m a very light sleeper so this was extremely frustrating to me! Nice hotel all in all, just wish we would have gotten some good sleep!!
