Great place to visit at a leasure time. There is a hotel also nearby. You can bath at this place. Roads are also in good conditions. So that we can go very near to the waterfall. You will have to walk 150m down some elders might find difficult to walk. But it can be manageable. There is a rubber estate also nearby.

Small, cascading waterfall. Nice place for a visit and enjoy the feel of a waterfall. Its located within a rubber plantation. We visited this as part of the new Seethawaka Odyssey train tour program. Getting down to the waterfall from the road is a little difficult. You need to climb down some steep and narrow footpaths and some private restaurant property to get to the fall. So some people view the waterfall from a footbridge thats built over it. Visitors park their vehicles on the small estate road.

"Ranmudu ella" is located near labugama in awissawella city. Nice place to bath in here by feeling the cool of water and surrounding of nature. Good for couples, families, friends outings. you can bath very free and safe in here. Its feel much better, bring a snak or any drinks. Easy access to the place and can park your vehicle near the ella area.  Much crowded in weekends. Please take back the polythene and plastic you bring.  And take only beautiful memories of such places.  We must protect these beautiful natural places.

Beautiful waterfall falling in few small steps. There are few small ponds where you can bathe. Situated very close to a vehicle accessible road. Quiet and calm place to enjoy

Such a peaceful place to visit whenever you want to have a fresh water bath and to observe fresh air from the Finest Rain forest, The beauty of the waterfall left me in awe and the peaceful sound of water falling was so calming. 15m height Ranmudu Ella is situated at Labugama in Colombo District. The closest city is Avissawella. To Reach this waterfall you may take the right turn from Puwakpitiya Railway Station towards Thunmodara for 9.2kms, Ranmudu Ellas was given it's name due to "Gold" "Ring" as per the legends. It was King Seethawaka Rajasinghe who lost his gold ring at this venue while bathing. Hence the waterfall was called as Gold Ring waterfall, in Sinhala it is RanMudu Ella. I highly recommend visiting this waterfall but please remember to bring all your rubbish with you and do not litter. This place is a true gift of nature and we should all do our part to preserve its beauty. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I cannot wait to go back again. If you have the chance, do not hesitate to visit this beautiful waterfall. 🤩

The 15m high Ranmudu Ella fall in Thunmodara is situated in a tributary of the Wakganga River, and the waters feed the Kelani River. The fall is a victim of its own success. Due to its popularity, especially at weekends, the surrounding ecosystem is under threat from large numbers of trampling visitors. It can be found 48km from Colombo, in the Colombo District Hanwella PC. From the Columbo – Avissawela highway head to Tumodara village. The fall is 0.5km from here.

It is situated near to the seethawaka garden and rasily you can access to the premisess. The road is good and can be travell by a bus also. The waterfall is very closed to the road and you have to walk about only 100meters. It is a valuable place which can be seen the environment value and the bio diversity in the western province. Some what crowdy on weekends and holydays.

If you're looking for a unique and refreshing experience in nature, Ranmudu Ella is definitely worth checking out. The waterfall and its pool are a beautiful sight to behold, and jumping into the water is a great way to cool off on a hot day. One of the most memorable aspects of the experience is the interaction with the fish, who come up to your legs and give you a natural "foot spa" by nibbling away at the dead skin. It can be quite ticklish, but it's also a fun and novel sensation. That being said, it's important to be aware of the potential dangers of visiting Ranmudu Ella during the rainy season. The water level can rise suddenly and dramatically, which could pose a serious risk to swimmers. Make sure to check the weather forecast and water conditions before you go, and always exercise caution when swimming in natural bodies of water

This is a cascaded waterfall with lots of bathing spots upside & downside of the bridge. There is a nice still under construction v shaped hotel with a restaurant where you can get a scrumptious food. The owner Rasika was very friendly & helped in multiple ways. You'll be well guided if you can pre order food.

One of the beautiful waterfalls in my village. This waterfall is at the beginning of the road to the village. The environment is very beautiful and one should be careful while bathing here. There have been several casualties so far.Going forward on this road is a hilly road with rubber trees on both sides. The view of distant mountains from the top is very beautiful.

Peaceful river bath. Nearest place for a river bath. Accepted issues for small children. Not crowded. Don't recommend Google navigation near the place. Better way is with a bridge. Difficulty level minimum

I had the pleasure of visiting Ranmudu Ella waterfall during my recent trip to Colombo and it was truly a beautiful sight to behold The waterfall is located amidst lush greenery and cascades down from a height of about 30 meters. The water is crystal clear and the sound of it gushing down is both soothing and refreshing. The surrounding area is well-maintained with viewing platforms and walking trails, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the beauty of the waterfall and the natural surroundings. The mist rising from the waterfall creates a magical atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. Overall, Ranmudu Ella waterfall is a hidden gem in Sri Lanka and definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to experience the country's natural beauty. It's a must-see!

Road was really good and we were able get closer to the fall without any difficulty. There were enough directions and you will not be misleaded. You just have to get down 100-150m to get to the fall but it's not that hard. Please help to keep the area clean.
