One of the best resort I've visited till now. Entrance blew out my mind with those vibrant plants and tress. Feels like entering to a rain forest. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who know how to serve the customer. Food is amazing. Perfect place for your photo shoots. We went for a day out. The services we had are more worthy than it charged. 💕

Went for a day out..need to highlight some positive and negative feedbacks, 1 . food was tasty, but should have more variety in the buffet. Its more likely a Sri Lankan Buffet and cant called as International Buffet. 2. Hotel staff service was superb and they tried their best to give the 100% service to its guest. 3. Location and the atmosphere was good. 4.As per the third image, a electric wire was exposed in the pool, this is a Hazard issue and the Hotel management should inspect these and check regularly, In case if a person switch on the switch and it will be dangerous to the guest who is in the Pool.

We went for a one night stay in the hotel. The location and the property it self is very attractive, great views, infinity pool, all good. However some staff members are not professional and did not showcase the standards of the property. Specially people in the reception and bell boy. However people in the restaurant were very respectful. Food was below average. It was not worth the price at all. Even though the property is in beautiful place with an awesome view, they haven’t maintained it to get the best out of it. There were weed and other plants blocking the view in the pool as well as in the restaurant, which could have been easily cleaned up. So sad…

Located on the top of a mountain where you’ll get a 360 view of the surrounding area. The environment could have been relaxing but there was sound coming from a nearby temple from the time we checked in, until the next day. And it wasn’t a Poya day or a Sunday. They didn’t stop even during the night. Staff is very active and supportive, especially the guy at the restaurant. Food is good. And had many options to choose from. They only provide two small bottles of water for the room and extra would be charged. Pool is nice and has a great view. But it seems to get very crowded during the day. This place seems to be popular for day outings and the pool doesn't look clean at the end of the day. Room is nice and spacious. Make sure to request a room with a view. Washrooms are nice and clean. The drive to the location is very steep but they manage the traffic very well.

A quiet place. A paradise rental place that perfectly reflects the beauty of the environment. Situated on the highest peak in the area, this beautiful place can be reached in a few hours from Colombo. From the top of the hill you can see the surroundings very well. A great place for delicious food as well as superior hospitality. You can look around from the swimming pool. Upstairs rooms.

We went to this hotel for day outing. Tasty food and very good service. Staff is very nice and gave a superb service. They gave us a day room as well. Clean room. Swimming pool located in a beautiful location. I am a frequent traveler and I can recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. Specially for large groups. Very spacious and beautiful environment and responsible front office staff.

Overally good place for outing. Not fantastic food but OK. Beautiful view, very good rooms with hot water. Medium size pool, so bit of rush during weekends. Staff are nice and helpful. Bit difficult to drive to the top of the mountain as it's a steep hill. Reasonable price for the the service.

View from the room was great. There are lot of beautiful birds. There is a hike arranged by the hotel to some beautiful places in the same mountain. Buffet was a disaster, filled with tasteless food. Hotel need a good chef & good maintainence staff .

The location is situated on a hill, isolated from the hustle and bustle. Amazing views can seen if you climb a set of foot steps over a hilltop. Friendly staff no complaints. Food, I would say was above average for my liking.

Calm and quiet place blended with the nature. Pool is not so big and attractive as we have seen on the pictures. Lunch buffet was not so impressive as with the less varieties. The taste of the food was average. Also no much selections for the desserts. But the atmosphere of the dining area was nice. The road to the hotel is narrow and two vehicles cannot move at a time but hotel staff is managing it quite well.

One of best restaurants in the area. Attractive and calm environment with mountain view. Delicious food and good service. Swimming pool also available but not too big best for kids. Parking space is big enough to park more than 20 vehicles at one time. Wedding hall also available. The restaurant close at 2pm. Highly recommended for family.

DISAPPOINTING! Used to love this place so much. The view, rooms and even the staff. However recent change in management have caused a very significant depreciation in quality of rooms/ service. Never have I walked out of a hotel but i just had to this time. Not worth it and its more like a 2 star hotel now. Good luck getting a room and service worth your money.

It's difficult to enter to the hotel by large vehicles like buses. They're arranging shuttle service if you informed them prior. Enough parking facility available top of the mountain. Friendly staff & good customer service. Rooms were in good condition. Highly recommend rooms faced to mountain view than the rooms in jungle. Beautiful swimming pool there. Foods also good. Calm environment to spend time peacefully. Jungle trekking available.

The Location is very good, Great environment close to the city. Not a very good place for elderly having to walk about five stories from rooms to dining area. Even though the varieties was less the food was quite good. And anyone who's planning to visit please make sure to reach an agreement about the tings precent in the so called "mini bar" they tend to charge for things that wasn't in there the first place having said that occupants have used it. Oh and make sure to go on the trail in evening hours.

Located on top of a mountain within 1 hour drive from Colombo. Approach: steep winding narrow tarred road, difficult to negotiate for a long bus. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Bed linen & other facilities not fancy, but comparable with 3 star quality. Hot water is available but difficult to control the temperature. Helpful, obliging friendly staff. Food: excellent quality ‘bites’ (deviled pork, fries, squid, omelets, nuts) but breakfast & lunch were disappointing (by the time our group of 30 sat for lunch, there was not enough meat/seafood items left & they had no plans to replenish!) Excellent view. Absolute tranquility if not for the chanting from nearby temples & mosques. Pathway to the pool is poorly lit up & didn’t look safe for kids, elderly & disabled. A place with great potential. Needs better maintenance. Overall, enjoyable stay.

Rooms were good. There was a good variety of food for buffet (for all 3 meals). Surrounding is very calm and relaxing. Good staff and service! 🤗 But the road to the hotel is a little difficult. And have to take the stairs to the 2nd floor for the buffet area.😶 Other than than, everything else is really good! Really like to visit again! 😍

I must say that aside from the food, which wasn't quite up to my expectations, the location itself was superb. I've been a frequent visitor to this place for over a year, mainly for dinner . My go-to choices have always been the Carbonara and chicken creamy soup. Unfortunately, these dishes didn't quite meet the standards I had in mind. However, when it comes to providing a relaxing environment and a suitable place to work during the weekdays, this hotel truly excels. The ambiance is tranquil and conducive to unwinding after a long day. The location's tranquility and the well-designed spaces make it an ideal spot for those seeking solitude or a peaceful place to focus on work-related tasks. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy your own company, this hotel is a great choice. While the dining experience might not be the highlight, the location's overall atmosphere and amenities make it a fantastic place to relax and be productive during the week.

Good environmental place, staff was very friendly and provided highly recommend service. But the diner buffet not available verities comparing the payed price. Breakfast is marginal good than the diner. But lunch buffet is good. As a 3 start hotel you have to more focus on quality and taste of foods and if you can improve it , you will can attractive more guests.

Only reason I gave 3 star rating is that the place is COMPLETELY INACCESSIBLE to senior citizens and people with durability as the entire place is full of stairs with no planking for wheelchair accessibility. Both our parents, especially my father who is a wheelchair user, was made very helpless without even being able to use the washroom.... and thos was after the resort committed when we placed the booking that there is a wheelchair accessible room.... Was very disappointing.... This is such a pity as this place is losing out on an entire cohort of our society who would have visited this place if it was made a little bit more accessible. It's very important for businesses of this nature to be more sensitive to human needs, in order to reach international standards. We did educate the staff and do hope that the management would take necessary action to make it a more senior and disability friendly place :)

Rooms and place was good. Food and room service is not worth with charges. Compare to 4 star hotel here prices are not fair with their food and room services. They charge additional for stayed after check out time. This has not happened to me earlier from any hotel I visited before. Food was good but not worth with charges. Hotel is in a isolated location which will calm your your mind. Staff is some what helpful when you request additional items like baby food they were really helpful. Rooms are average. The food is not up-to standard for a three star hotel. There is no much of variety,same buffet was given for all six meals we had. most of it no taste at all. I would recommend you taste the food before giving to the guest. Some had more salt and some had no salt at all. I would cook a better pasta at home than which served in a three star hotel. Even some food they served were spoiled.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel and The hotel's surroundings are calm and beautiful, providing a peaceful escape into nature. Unfortunately, the experience with the staff, especially at the reception, was not satisfied. The receptionist seemed less than knowledgeable about effective customer communication and not friendly. The rooms are okay, but I was dissatisfied with the room service. Despite placing a request for a hairdryer, it was not delivered to the room. The food quality was average, and the variety was somewhat limited. The pool area is beautiful, but it tends to be a bit busy with day-out customers. In summary, while the hotel offers a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing environment, there is a need for improvement in various service aspects.

Great Location. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The food was good. The Nature aesthetic were awesome.

Good and tasty foods. Secure rooms with good privacy. Bueatifull place to visit and stay. Friendly staff especially the person(don’t remember the name)who supplied foods other eating items. One bad thing is dones are not prohibited around pool area. When I was enjoying the pool someone(may be a YouTuber) was operating a drone over the pool.

Staff was excellent helped every time for arranging the things. Food is also good One improvement I would be having a hut at the Swimming pool. Cause during a sunny day, If you want to enjoy the view, it is hard to stay there. Other than that service was 100% great

Kithul Kanda is a nature friendly hotel, Customer service is very good, rooms are very clean and security service is also very good and buffet is also good, but does not have many variations, worth for the price, Pool is very clean and you can have very beautiful view from there, and there is a separate pool for children as well. Can recommend the place to everyone. There are beautiful places that they can promote the hotel with, I think, they should guide visitors about these places once they are checking-in.

Enjoyed time here at Kithul Kanda Mountain Resort with my few friends. Rooms are really good and well cleaned. Upper floor rooms has a awesome morning view. Food was average but staff is very friendly and helpful.

We visited for a quick dinner. Meals are awesome but little expensive. Had a kindly service in the open air dining hall. Served with À la carte. But something error if you visited only for a dinner cause you'll definitely miss the lush mountain senery (This time I've missed it😭). Try to make a dayout or reserve a room with mountain view for a night.

Booked this wonderful place within 2 hrs of check-in for a family gathering. Such a nice place, though it's not in the 1st hotels that appear in Google search. Mesmerising location. Having the views of misty mountains around the hotels. Exceptional staff. Should specifically mention about the linear staff, they do their best to make your vacation an unforgettable one. They adjust their policy to make you happy. Prices are so much reasonable. So definitely one of the best places with such short drive from Colombo Well done Kithul Kanda !!

We made the booking for 3 families just an hour ahead, they were so hospitable. Very welcoming. They catered to all our needs, including allowing us to enjoy our own BBQ. Beautiful pool with an incredible view. Superb food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended 💖

We went there as a friends outing. It was superb. The location, the interior, lobbies, restaurant, swimming pool, garden, the sheds and huts are clean and well maintained. There are many activities and the staff are really helpful. Good welcome. Prices average, food was good, spread faily good. Overall a superb experience.

Friendly staff(specially at restaurant) will make you feel at home, the policy of maintaining the natural environment tidy feel you be at heaven. It's so much experience which cannot express by mere words. Just had a day out and free jungle tracking was the best out of everything. The trip was with the family for a dinner outing. The location is superb. Feels like Nuwara Eliya / Badulla. Hotel architecture is not much brilliant but good. Time consumed was too little much for preparation of the dinner. Probably due to less guests so that they needed to prepare everything specifically. The reasons for loosing one star are, 1. There were no lights in the access road where it was difficult to drive up or down during night time. As the road is too curvy, proper lighting is mandatory to reduce risk. (I asked them and they said that there are lights, but were not lit up although asked.). 2. It was raining at the time and I asked them if it is possible to lower the bamboo matts. But they said that they cannot be lowered. So we had to move to an inner table where the rain drizzle cannot reach.

Stayed in one night with my family. Excellent location and giid view. Like you are@ Kandalama. Good rooms well maintained cleanliness. No bar and adhoc crowds can be seen at garden having drinks. Mostly dayouting crowds coning here and might disturb you as you may not be able to use pool. Small pool had more than 100 day outing crowd. No varierty in food very basic but managable. Good easy location havibg so many pluses

ROOMS: Rooms are bit smaller than other hotels in similar price range. I booked a jungle view room; there is neither a jungle nor a view 🤣. Just couple of trees outside. Very small bathroom and toilet. Looks like previously large washroom and later it is partition to visualise there is larger room space. Due to that, bathroom floor level is higher than room floor level. There is a gully also in the open room area. In addition to that there are two floor levels; but the separation is not highlighted. There is high probability you leg will hurt everytime you cross that area. Room flow is not cleaned properly. FOOD: Dinner menu is a worse one. There were only one meat item; and it is also pork. At least there were no eggs. Very cheap quality buffet. Breakfast and Lunch menus are okay. POOL: This place provides day outing packages also. So, during day time pool is overcrowded. If you stay overnight better to fo to the pool in the morning session before day-outing crowd appears. SCENERY: There are couple of nice view points. They have carrom and checkers boards. In addition to that they have card packs too. If you like, you can play omi and other card games. Easy access from Colombo. Have enough parking space.

Spent the evening here for dinner with family. A short drive out of Colombo for a scenic dinner. The drive up was a little steep to the resort. It's manageable and there's no issue getting up. Recommended for day trips!

They also have an infinity pool but it was too small for my liking. The food was tasty but there was not much variety in the buffet. The place is very peaceful and cool as it is surrounded by trees. We also went on a small hike with a guide who showed us some nice viewpoints. It was a fun activity but nothing spectacular. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Kitul Kanda Mountain Resort but I don’t think it lives up to its reputation. It is a nice place to relax but not worth the hype.
