Amazing place and for most of Hindu people this is a final destination which should be must visited once in a life. According to hindu mythology and believes, ganga water has the power to purify soul by removing all bad curses due to mis deeds. Scientist has also proved that the decay process in ganga water is nil and it can sustain any life. Droplets of Ganga can attend you to moksha and lead you to the door of heaven. The must thing isbto attend evening prayer (arti) at around 7 PM. The only thing I dont like is the negligence of government for everything. For pathetic condition of roads, water drainages, transportation, general cleanliness is entire city specific near river banks. Considering it as tourist place the entire city should be transformedded.

Har Ki Pauri is a famous ghat on the banks of the river Ganga in Haridwar. It is also the best Ganga Ghat in India . Cleanliness here awesome. But the main attraction is Ganga arati which happens between 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Overall it's a river side place where you can feel the vibrant and relax whenever one is tired can come here have a dip in holy river Ganga and meditate yourself.

The Ganga Aarti in Hardwar is performed at the Har-ki-Pauri Ghat. It is a ritual of light and sound where the priests perform prayers with bowls of fire and the ringing of the temple bells. The aarti is organised twice a day, every morning at sunrise and every evening at sunset.

King Vikramaditya is said to have built it in 1st century BC in the memory of his brother, Bharthari who had come to meditate here on the bank of the Ganges. An area within Har Ki Pauri, where the evening Ganga Aarti takes places and which is considered most sacred is known as Brahmakund (Devanagari: ब्रह्म कुण्ड).[1] It is considered to be the spot where the drops of Amrit fell over from the sky, while being carried in a pitcher by the celestial bird, Garuda after the Samudra Manthan. Every day, Har Ki Pauri ghat witnesses hundreds taking a dip in water of the Ganges. The place is considered very auspicious. Over the years the ghats have undergone major extension and renovation as the crowds increased in subsequent Kumbh Melas. Several temples have come up on the steps, most built in late 19th century. The extension of the ghats took place in 1938 (done by Hargyan Singh Katara, a Zamindar from Agra in Uttar Pradesh), and then again in 1986.[2]

Verypious place. But I'll managed. Need to park your car over a kilometre and walk. E autos get stranded in jam. Had to go and sit one hour in advance for ganga aarati.

after covid they have become so much commercial first of all they are not singing the aarti just play some old recorded so you wont get the good vibes & every 50mt there is an person asking you for donation & literally forcing you by saying mutlple thing . no covid protocol is even followed even overall wouls suggest you to try rishikesh aarti which is far better than this
