I'm a believer in judging a restaurant by its hamburger. So, I ordered the Hamburger deluxe with cheese and it was excellent. Toasted bun, medium as requested, with fresh everything. It arrived with all condiments on the side, which is good because who likes a slippery, unmanageable burger? The price was very fair all things considered. Our waitress was also very friendly and that's appreciated. Will definitely be going back and trying the Reuben.

Rex's sold is now the cracked egg which is disappointing I Don't think it's fair that the cracked egg took over the same Google page with all the good reviews. They've taken away all the great dinner meals and lunch foods and now primarily all Breakfast foods. Also should mention EXPENSIVE! I ordered a burger, fries and cheese sticks with water and it was $35 with tip! Unbelievable, I could've gone anywhere else for same food and $10-15 cheaper. They basically brought Grosse point prices to 8 mile! I will definitely miss eating here, Rex's deli died with my grandma. Below was the review for the old Rex's Deli This place is a Diamond in the rough. NOT your average coney island. Food is freshly made and prices are extremely reasonable. My favorite thing to get is the Fish dinner for around $9 and you get a choice of potato with soup or salad and even a piece of pie too! You literally cant beat that! Plus the pies are made from scratch and are just like how your mother made them. I take my grandma here at least once a week and we end up with many leftovers to take home. We love this place.

First time here and our experience was amazing!! The staff is very friendly, prompt. The food was absolutely 💯 amazing!!! Will be back for sure!!! Who would have thought Catfish and Eggs in the morning!!

OUTSTANDING service we came in and order our food got our waters ya know…literally within mins our FRESH breakfast was being served to us. Soo delicious amazing service and the waiter was so kind and “standing on business” . It took us less then an hour to order, be served, eat, sit and talk, pay, talk, and leave!! Oh yeah, 😏we love it here. 10/10 would recommend!!

We tried their catfish breakfast via GrubHub. I substituted pancakes for toast, so that was nice. Hubby and I really enjoyed it. The portions aren't very much but very tasty. I would suggest having options to add cheese, onions etc to eggs or hash browns. I asked for it in the comment section and they followed directions, which was great but the up charge was kind of high.

Customer service was great the food was ok I tried the Corn beef Skillet with my egg over easy it was ok could have been seasoned more but everything was good, especially when I tapped my debit card twice they apologized and gave me my money back very nice and chilled place to have breakfast,

Food was not bad but not good either. I had a burger and fries. Burger was burnt and salty. Fries were under cooked and soggy. Mozzarella sticks seemed old. Soda was watered down. Waitress was not very good. Had to ask her for soda and napkins twice. She was more concerned with talking to the other waitress and eating. Food was much better when this place was Rex's.

They absolutely made my morning! I got the fruity pebble French toast with cheese grits and it was perfect in every way!

My husband took me out for a breakfast date, this was our first time here. It was amazing. The food was was so good and more than enough. We even utilized it for dinner. We both had a version of chicken and Waffles. The staff was great. We will be back with friends, soon.

Me and my family love the old restaurant Rex. The changed menu through us for a loop with the new owner. The house potatoes are why we came to the restaurant weekly sometimes multiple times a week. If they don’t bring the potatoes back we might not come as often because it’s really not worth it. We spent $20 more than usual and the machine charged us 3% more when using our card. But we love the staff! Good luck

We have been getting food from here since quarantine through door dash. We usually get the cornedbeef and eggs sometimes I add onions and mushrooms. Occasionally I will also get a full order of chocolate chip French toast as well. Food is always amazing I noticed sometimes on Mondays if I send my fiancé food the portions are a bit smaller but I always chalked it up to who was cooking. We love this place and want to come in person just to meet the people that run it. Great food no complaints. (update) new owners and we can't even get the breakfast we used to get. Such a shame too because it was wonderful for a cheap price. Now it's just as expensive as everywhere else with no option to customize

I ordered the corned beef omelette and this was the smallest omelette I’ve ever had. There was like a teaspoon of meat on it and I’ve been going here for years. I’ve also ordered this b4 and it wasn’t like this. Guess I’ll find me a new spot

I ordered for the first time Saturday through DoorDash. Very good food. Everything was amazing. Not too many restaurants deliver good food through DoorDash. I will be back for sure. Thank you for caring about the quality of your food!!!!!!

I really enjoyed my takeout breakfast. It was seasoned good service was fast. The staff was patient and friendly. The restaurant was clean and decorated for the 4th of July that made the environment cheerful. Parking is great.

This review was for Rex's(this was the restaurant before this one), not the Cracked Egg of Harper Woods, which is a totally different restaurant. Again this was Rex's review, Homemade soups, the chicken noodle is the best with homemade noodles. The food is good, it's usually pretty quick so you're not waiting long for your food. Service is always excellent. The food is better than average on some days because it depends on who's cooking, if you go more than a couple times you'll definitely notice. Very reasonably priced, you get a breakfast for two people for around $16-20 which is really good for breakfast these days.

The service here is always wonderful. It isn't the cleanest place, but they are good for a quick pit stop. The catfish is always great especially fried hard. I like their corned beef and pastrami, but I don't like their roast beef. This is my grandma's favorite place to eat because of their senior breakfast specials at a great price.

Honestly, mediocre. I have lived in eastpointe for 8 years and always wanted to try this place. It was disappointing to say the least. Just not great food. Service was good, food was not. Also, it's extremely tiny inside.

Ok so love this little spot I like that the staff has been here a long time and very familiar with the menu they have classics stuff but I absolutely love like salmon patties love the home style potatoes 😘well price ❤️

I went for the first time and loved it. The waitress was really nice and the establishment was very clean. Wait times were short and the food was really good! I'll definitely be returning. Ps, the cook will forever hold a special place in my heart for making the pancakes with crispy edges!!

My favorite breakfast place in Michigan. Their salmon patty breakfast is my favorite. Omg now it's their turkey burger . When I saw they melted the cheese and grilled the onions to perfection,h ands down thee best food I've had anywhere in Michigan.Keep up the good work guys. If you need me to do a commercial on how excellent the food and staff is I'm your girl. If it was more stars to add you would definitely get more than 5. I'm a single mother of five and I work alot of hours. Alot of times especially on the weekends I'm off I don't feel like cooking.Out of National Coney Island, Big Boys, Bob Evans, IHOP, I going to Rex first. Only thing is I wished they stayed open longer.😔

Great dining experience for breakfast. The Southern Omelette was fantastic. Portions are a little on the small side but they have outstanding employees and customer service.

Enjoyed my meal. Served hot and fresh. Not a long wait time. Only thing I wished I had control over were the other patrons who seemed to not care about others. Their language and how loud they were. One of the servers seemed to know them and she joined right in. Maybe pick another day other than Sunday.
