Disappointing Change in Service at Restaurant Donatella I've been a regular at Restaurant Donatella because I like their food and the cozy atmosphere. But my recent visit was a letdown, and I feel the need to share my thoughts. On my last trip, I was surprised to see a mandatory 20% service charge on my bill. When I asked about it, the waiter said they added it because some people don't tip well on weekends. This forced gratuity feels like an insult to customers. It suggests that the restaurant doesn't trust its staff to provide good service without making customers pay a big tip. It also assumes that everyone will be happy with the service, no matter what. I understand that staff should be paid fairly, but making service charges mandatory, especially when the service is not up to everyone's expectations, feels unfair and off-putting. It also makes me wonder if the staff are happy with their pay and if customers are happy overall. The restaurant should address staff pay concerns without making customers pay more. I used to enjoy my visits to Donatella and looked forward to a good experience. But this change has made me rethink. I hope the restaurant management reconsiders this policy and lets customers choose how much to tip. Until then, I'd advise people to be aware of this extra charge and decide if the overall experience is worth it.

Was not impressed with a few things. Lighting was so dim, granted it was late in the evening, so we asked to move to a different spot (restaurant was empty). We like to see what we are eating.. Hostess told us all the seats were the same and gave us a little table lamp that honestly helped :) Our drinks were not good— my husband’s was still full when we left. Three stars because the food was good. We enjoyed the squid ink pasta and swordfish. We asked for Tobasco, and the waiter came back 10 minutes later with takeout packets of hot sauce (almost looked like Chinese takeout). The waiter insisted it was Tobasco 🫤 Overall disappointed with the drinks, service and ambiance. Might have been an off-night for them, which can absolutely happen anywhere.

It is known that they make pasta by themselves from scratch. I like the dish, especially because the ingredients tasted fresh, and every food was less salty.

Went to this lovely establishment with my family. Everything about it from the curious umbrellas decorating the outside to the wonderful waitstaff was amazing! We went for a late lunch at 2pm and ended up staying until 5, we didn't want to leave! We started with the stuffed artichoke, pasta fagioli and salads, bread was already on the table. Main dishes were 2 different chicken dishes and a veal dish, all were excellent! I would like to go back at night, there were many fire elements outside that I'm sure would look beautiful at night. I would definitely recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

Today 1st of January 2023 I came to this beautiful restaurant with friends and my fiancé, we frequently come to this place and Wow let me tell you what a great experience we had here every time we come here, they treat us like our fist time, they deserve more than 5 stars, the restaurant is beautiful, always clean , good vibes, and excellent excellent customer service!!! Marvin, Fabian, Orlando, all the waiters and waitresses are awesome here. And of course we miss the extraordinary Eddy. The owner what a great human being! We just love this place so much!!!! and the food is very delicious! like paradise!!! And HAPPY NEW YEAR’S and God bless you always!!!

Bartender was extremely gracious and kind. It was our first visit. Appetizer and dinner was exceptional. Service reminded me of true European expertise, knowledge of menu, wine, and very respectful ! We will go again.

Food is absolutely fantastic. I went for my girlfriend's graduation party and the service was amazing! Waiters were very informative and direct. The atmosphere was great as well, with music playing in the background and the sound bring very homey. I will definitely come back again.

My third time coming back to Donatell’a, and they never fail to disappoint. From the food to the service, everything is superb. The outdoor seating is just as beautiful as the indoor scenery. The wait staff and manager are very friendly and cater to your every need/want. Can’t wait to come back, again!

I just had my baby shower there yesterday. With about 60 people. From the service to the food, everything was excellent. The owner Don and his team are all so wonderful! Definitely recommend this place for a party to a date night. Really love the food and the waiters. Very sweet young girl waitress, the bartender and all the guy waiters. The owner and his manager is super accommodating! Thanks for a wonderful event!

I hate to be that guy but the food wasn't anything different from the regular Italian restaurant. The ambiance was perfect so was the service. Maybe I have to give it a second try.

It was a great way to celebrate a birthday dinner. A very delicious meal and great hospitality. Friendly staff and food made this birthday special.

Beautiful restaurant with incredible decor/ambiance inside and out. Customer service was top notch. Entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They accommodated us on Thanksgiving day and were welcoming. Food was awesome - especially enjoyed the pasta dishes and short rib was so juicy and tender. Will come back!

I would give this place a 10 if I could. The service and staff honestly make the place amazing. Marvin the bartender, the waiter, the host, he can do it all and do it with grace! My family comes here once in a while and we are always treated with the greatest amount of kindness. And THE FOOD!! Amazing is an understatement. I highly recommend this place and please when you go say hello to the spectacular Marvin!!

Our PTO reserved a private room at Donatella Restaurant for a mom’s night out. Besides the very good service they allowed us towards the end to put some music on and all the moms danced and all the waiters just waited for us and never rushed us although there was nobody in the restaurant. We even got shots of tequila on the house. Highly recommend this place!!! And will surely go back with my husband on a date at Donatella!

I went to Donatella not too long ago with my dad and had great time. Food was amazing, penne vodka and the octopus was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was very good and the valet that parked our car was super nice to both me and my dad. We’ll definitely back.
