One of our absolute favorite parks!! Several different playgrounds, bbq areas, volleyball nets, a huge pond you can do a nice walk around. There is even a dog park near by. We LOVE this park, it's always so clean and beautiful! ❤️

One of my favorite parks in the area. They have a huge dog park with both large and small dog sections as well as a dog wash station. The park has various walking and biking trails, fishing ponds, 3 separate playgrounds, a pavilion and picnic areas. Additionally, there is a fabulous sports complex. Not to worry the park also has (typically) clean public restrooms. Great place to spend the day with family or get in a workout.

Very peaceful park, great views, plenty of parking and long trails. I definitely recommend it! It seems like very safe park as well. I am a female and felt safe walking the trails alone if that means anything to you. Very relaxing and great views if you are a photographer. Get some AirPods, put on a good podcast and walk the trails!

I am full time rv traveler and I visit many parks. Burroughs Park.is very nice park. I would improve removing some of the garbage around the lake. I have traveled many states and Tomball area is nice place except the fact people throw away garbage from the cars as i witness quite often. Still rating 5 stars and hoping to see the improvements. ;)

This is a 4 star park with a one star maintenance crew. My God they are so rude, mowing Gras that's plenty short at 11 am with kids all over the equipment. The mowers are blasting a thick cloud of dust straight into kids faces and people's food. It's everywhere and it feels aggressively aimed at park goers as if they were getting off on it. Going over the same spots over and over. I though it would take about 5 minutes with the gear they had and the amount of crew there but 20 minutes in and my kid my car and my dog are covered in a thick dusty coating. All while half the crew is standing around laughing it up and horsing around. Find a better time of day for this, the grass wasn't even long, I couldn't tell where they mowed and where they didn't. Nasty.

I love bringing my dogs here! The park is always clean and pet parents do a pretty good job of cleaning up after their dogs. The property is beautiful! Parking lot at the dog park is well lit in the evening too!

One of the scenic park. They have small pond with lotus and a few ducks. The place is great for photo shoots as well. Lot of folks take professional photography for pre wedding, maternity and pregnancy pictures. Good place for sweet sixteen photo shoots as well.

Nice, well maintained Park with ample parking, clean bathrooms, and several playgrounds. Hiking trails are somewhat difficult to navigate without a trail map or app such as All Trails.

Nice park. Lots of sports field on the front with some nice small trails on the back end. About 3 miles of paved walking trails and the some dirt trails as well. Bike friendly but you're going to have to do lots of loops to get even modest mileage. Went there at 8am on Sunday morning and not crowded. I would imagine during sports seasons - soccer, softball and baseball would be crowded. However, back end of park should be less so regardless of season. Liked it enough that we will add it to our rotation of weekend morning walk spots.

The dog park is enclosed, but large and spacious. It is divided into an area for small dogs and large dogs. There is a nice walking trail on the inside of each. Across a short road the a huge open area with plenty of space for families to play, bbq, have picnics near the lake, etc. I have counted 5 playing areas for children of all ages within this area. I am amazed at how many of these are available and how clean the area is. This park is beautiful and such a great place to spend time alone reading and/or napping and with your family.

Beautiful place! Very clean and tons of space to be active or relax and enjoy the environment. Even with tons of people, it still doesn't seem loud or crowded at all! Will definitely come again. And I plan on looking into renting out a pavilion for my daughter's birthday party 🎉

Wonderful park! There's so much room to breath if you just want to clear your mind. Active areas for child's play. Catch and release fishing pond. And a fenced in large open area dog park. I took the kiddo and we had a blast! Each area of the park is separate too. It's very large for any activity you could think of. We'll be going g back regularly.

It's one of the best parks in the area with a dog park. A trail leads to some nice long walks if you're adventurous. Sitting by the lake is calming. People are always lively and respectful. Superbly maintained by professional park staff. 👏

It was a very nice park unfortunately I went just after the rain, so some parts of the park were kind of flooded the lake was a little higher than normal which was fine seeing how I went there to go fish but unfortunately I didn't catch any fish. that's probably based on what I was using for bait, but overall, it is a beautiful park, and I'm definitely going back to try again. There were a lot of people the day I went to,runners and people with dogs. Looks like they had a nice playground for the kids and a big covered area for picnics. I didn't use the restrooms, so I didn't see them, but overall, a nice park

It is a big beautiful park with many large parking areas. It is easier to get in and out of the park now that they finally opened the new entrance and even put a red light there. The old entrance on dead man's curve with 45 mph traffic was outright dangerous, leaving. The park itself has large walking trails, large gazebos, a creek that runs underneath a nice observation bridge, a large track, baseball fields, soccer fields, and more. It also has a large lake you can fish with a walking dirt track around that. The park itself is great. Some of the maintenance guys can get bored and seem to drive around antagonizing people. Most of them are nice and do a great job. There is more but you will need to go see. It is worth the drive if you've never been there. The park itself is amazing. I think some of the staff could use better supervision though.

This is one of my absolute favorite parks to frequent. There’s so much to do: kids can play at the playground, adults & kids can fish or walk the trail., photoshoot perfect, events hosting, the list goes on. There’s so much space at this park. Best park in the area.

In Tomball, there are so many amazing parks to choose from! This one is definitely on the top of our list shortly followed by Spring Creek Park and Little Cypress Creek Preserve! We're always looking for phenomenal trails to go hike or bike on and this Park certainly doesn't disappoint! The trail system here has multiple long trails with even connecting trails to other parks! Besides the trails, this park has so many other great things to offer! The dog park is definitely one of the best for the area! There are lots of baseball and soccer fields for people seeking a place to play. Although throughout the week, there are usually leagues out there utilizing the field. One of the best features this park had to offer, is the stocked fishing pond! There are tons of bass and catfish throughout the pond! The park and playground area are quite neat in themselves! Definitely a park with checking out if you're in the area!

It was a nice and quiet, breezy day at Boroughs Park on Tuesday. Butterflies and dragonflies were out but no mosquitos thankfully! They were removing all of the overgrowth from the pond which was kind of sad because it was taking away the flowers that had bloomed but it was also not leaving much water in there for the fish, birds and such, so it’s understood.

The furbaby loves the dog park at Burroughs. I actually have to spell out P A R K or else he gets too excited. There is a restroom in the parking area and places to sit in the park. I gave only 4 stars because they need to make it a firmer rule that in tact males should not be allowed. I wouldn't report someone who had an unfixed dog that behaves, but they can sometimes be a little more aggressive and they often emit a scent that can rile up the other dogs. The in tact males are often followed and pestered by other dogs. Most people are good about paying attention to that. There is an adjacent small dog park that is often unused, and I've seen people take their less socialized dogs to play in there. There's a cleaning station outside the dog areas, and in the summer, someone brings wading pools. They have poopie bag stations and also stations built by a boy scout troup where people stuff their grocery bags to reuse those. I like the walking path. I can prompt my dog to walk with me, and then he'll run off and smell or play or just run while I get some walking in. Nobody seems to agree on whether first time dogs should be brought in and kept on a leash the first visit. Sometimes it's the first visit to socialize in the dog's life. I'd say to walk along the main park and then the dog park area, and outside the dog park fence first to get the dog used to the area and see how he or she reacts to seeing other dogs first. It's not a good idea to enter the park and keep the dog leashed because it scares them more to be leashed while other dogs come sniff them up and down. It's best to unleash them behind the second gate and let them roam free. Occasionally people have to remove their dogs from the play area, and every once in a while someone will say something and tell a dog owner they should leave. Overall it's an attentive crowd of dog owners with varying levels of tolerance for interaction. If you're not sure that your dog is social enough, other dog parents will help watch the interaction if you let them know it's your first visit.
