The room is very clean. But when you check in. A prepayment of $100 cash is required. Also, they won't give me a receipt for the $100 I paid. And there is no receipt stating that. Don't lose $100 cash when you stay here. Be sure to get both a pre-order receipt and a cash receipt. You will be ripped off. be careful!

I would not recommend this hotel. Very dirty, needs lots of maintenance, breakfast was sub par. We had an early morning flight and after asking they wouldn't even put on a pot of coffee. They said "no, no, we don't start coffee until 7am". Keep in mind this is an airport hotel. The one and only good thing I have to say is one specific night manager was very accommodating when I needed a shower bench for my room due to being an amputee, with that said I had to carry it up to my room. Lol.

Wouldn't recommend. Room was clean but needs urgent renovation. Breakfast was a hoax. They hand out breakfast vouchers you can then redeem at the breakfast. there is a breakfast lady standing in front of the hot breakfast (sausage, biscuit only because hashbrowns and bacon was gone halfway into the breakfast hours already) collecting the voucher and handing you out the hot food.you can not take it yourself. Coffee was discussing. The water they used must have been bad - the coffee stunk and tasted like rotten eggs. Disgusting. Do not go there!

You get what you pay for. I booked a room here because I had a weird overnight layover and didn't want to spend a lot of money. The hotel looks to have gone through a renovation at some point, but it still feels really old and dingy. The lighting in the rooms is also dark, even when they are all turned on. The halls had a weird smell, but the rooms themselves were clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They did hold an extra $50 for incidentals that I wasn't aware of until I got there. The free shuttle to and from the hotel was also convenient. (I'd rate it a 2.5 stars if it were possible)

I'm only giving such a low rating because I was treated horribly by two of the front desk attendants. One of which doubles as a breakfast attendant & was rude because I asked if there was any bagels or biscuits left. She barked that, "it's 9:00 breakfast is over". To which I replied that it was 8:55 and was told breakfast wasn't over until 9:00. Around 11:30 I called member services to check on my points because the other front desk lady told me that I had to contact them for my points. So I did and on that call I was told I won't get any points nor my deposit of $100(although their initial deposit requirement is only $60, but they didn't have change) because the extra sheets had a blood stain. Which is because of my son's skin condition. Although we've stayed at multiple hotels we've never been met with such disdain. I offered to remove the stain and was vehemently told no and that I would get no deposit back. I literally had to call the police in order to get my overage of $40 back. I'll never stay another night at this location and possibly no Wyndham ever again after this.

Not sure why the word airport is in the name. It's a long ways from the airport. The room Had a very funky smell to it. It was not very clean at all. My wife had to clean the room. Before she could sleep The continental breakfast was subpar. The service was very good though.

We read some of the reviews after booking and we were not sure we should stay. Glad we did! Wonderful customer service, great hot breakfast, very clean room. Did not use the pool, but the pool area was clean and nice.

I stayed here with a large team and the staff was so accommodating! They were kind and helpful. The owner himself helped transport our luggage and team back to the airport and went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Absolutely horrible check-in process. The receptionist demanded a $60 cash deposit, which I refused. This was ultimately charged to my credit card. I had to ask numerous times for receipts. He eventually gave me keys for a room with an unusable shower (peeling paint all over the tub and mold). The curtains were broken and stained with lipstick. I couldn’t be moved because “there were no more available rooms.” All the water fountains were broken. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Had a great stay here. Our room was very clean and the entire facility smells good. Deposit is required whether paying in cash or card but if you pay it with cash you could get it back at the end. Would definitely recommend staying here if cleanliness is important to you.

What a beautiful hotell! 10/10! We absolutely loved our time here. The hotel is clean, beautiful the lounge area and pool are awesome. The natural lighting along with the lamps, lights in the hotel kept the room feeling bright, open and fresh. The breakfast is fantastic and they keep everything well stocked. It’s awesome breakfast is from 7-10am. Love it here! We will be back soon.

Had an absolutely spectacular stay at this hotel. The staff is beyond exceptional and they treated me like royalty because I am a Diamond member with the Wyndham Rewards program. Rooms appear to have just been remodeled...very comfy. I stayed 3 nights and earned enough points to stay 2 nights when I travel next for leisure. Thank you for the points! And for a great stay!

Dillon was this places saving grace because the room smelled like death and the room hadn't been washed. I had to use their wash clothes to clean the stains and spills before I could sleep, and then the smell of the room was so bad that I had to check for a dead person under the mattress. The breakfast was...undesirable. Dillon was great tho, so there's that...but it's not worth staying at if you like to feel clean.

Great room, comfortable beds, clean linen (I slept great) very clean (hallways smelled amazing) & typical free breakfast for which I was very grateful. Night people were kind of non chalant & talking on their cell phone with babe while checking me in. Morning person was professional, attentive, and very polite upon check out!!!

The staff was friendly and the check-in was easy. I was shocked to have had been told I had to leave a $100 deposit upon check-in. I’ve never been asked for a deposit. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but I’m always honest. The elevator was creaky and a bit scary. The 3rd floor hallway is dark and both the hallway and my room (312) smelled HORRIBLE. Both smelled like old smoke and dirt. The carpet in the hallway on the 3rd floor was disgusting and stained. Breakfast was not good, either. The coffee tasted as though it had been sitting overnight. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. It just looks like they need to freshen things up and put some love into the place. I would stay again, however.

The staff member was rude and the TV didn’t work. I paid for three nights and only stayed two nights but couldn’t get compensated for it. They weren’t helpful and didn’t care to help. The room next to us played there TV loud all night. I highly don’t recommend this hotel.

This place is chaos. For the price, not surprising. Booked two nights here, didn’t even stay. Upon check-in, she lady working the front desk was the best part of our visit. She was kind, gave us our room. Went upstairs to the door having a large chunk out of it by the door handle, damage that definitely done by the door being kicked in. Keys didn’t work to this room, went back down for her to fix the keys, didn’t work the second time. Went back down and got put in another room. Room was nice but wasn’t properly cleaned. In the mix of all of this up and down, there was a gentleman who was screaming in the lobby trying to determine why he was required to pay a $250 cash deposit on his room when there was nothing written about it. Location isn’t great in terms of safety to what I have been told. Wouldn’t trust parking a car there as there were multiple broken, non working, old and beat up cars in the parking lot. No sense of safety in the hotel or parking lot. We decided to not stay here, and front desk lady told us that she wrote a note to the manager to reverse the charge the next morning as she didn’t have authorization. I have been calling to try and confirm this reversal is done but couldn’t get ahold of anyone after 4 calls, called Wyndham’s reservation line and they tried and couldn’t get ahold. Called back and got someone finally to be told the manager isn’t actually here today and would be in tomorrow now. Truly disappointing and hoping to hear from a manager soon.

Hi, my name is Rose Marie Padgett and I stayed at Wingate Wyndham Sam Houston hotel next to the Bush international Airport I was charged $90 that was on 22 November. I came home to Milwaukee on the 23rd. I look at my debit card ending in 5366 and somebody charged Extra 90$ my card for Room and I was in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The lady that check me in didn’t know what she was doing. She gave me and another lady the same room so she charged me twice I could’ve been there on the 25th cause I was at home in Milwaukee Wisconsin so I need you guys to put my money back on my card. I will be calling management Monday , thank you

The location is perfect for airport travel. The lobby could be warmer and a bit more inviting. The staff at the front desk was helpful.

We specifically booked this hotel because they told us they had a free shuttle from the airport and cribs for babies…neither of those were true. We had no hot water, spiders in our room, dirty gobs of gunk in the sink, and the entire hallway stunk like weed from someone hot boxing their room. Pay more to stay somewhere else.

So the hotel is okay. Things need fixing because they were half done when they did it the first time. Bed was okay. Comfort was flat. Parking lot need a lot of work. It wasn't loud, so I was able to sleep which was great.

This hotel SUCKS! Advertises airport shuttle, but hasn't run for two years. Breakfast is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. General Manager lies thru her teeth! Owner is mentally AND physically absent and uncontactable. This property should be SHUT DOWN NOW!!! I repeat......DO NOT GET NEAR THIS HOTEL.....IF YOU DO, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

The place was completely under construction, which was not posted when I booked. Also said they had WiFi and Breakfast, which was not true. The curtains in the room didn't close properly and we ran out of hot water.

The website listed shuttle service from the airport. When the shuttle failed to show up on schedule we called and were told they haven't had this service for two years. (Why is it still on your website? ). There is one sitting in the driveway. Took a taxi to the hotel and had to wait four hours in the lobby before we could check in. The staircase had dead roaches on the stairs. The third floor ice machine is missing and the second floor's is out of order.

The price for one night was ok, but I wouldn’t stay there more than that. The elevators are noisy, the room was not totally clean as there were nut shells and make-up items on the floor. Signifying the carpet was not vacuumed. The bed box spring below the head board has lots of dust and hair which means the bed skirts are not changed/washed often. The area seems to attract some strange characters which made me uncomfortable as they were hanging around the property. The “free” shuttle to the airport does not exist.

Made a reservation 2 1/2 months in advance for a long layover at Bush airport. When I arrived at the airport, I called the hotel and was told they didn't offer shuttle service to and from the airport anymore. The Wyndham app and website still showed free shuttle service was offered on the night of my stay. I had to pay for transportation to and from the hotel and was not offered any reimbursement from the hotel. Hotel staff was sympathetic and this seems like an ownership issue. Hotel is very dated and in desperate need of remodeling. I wouldn't stay here again even for free.

Our bathroom was disgusting. Dirty hand/finger prints around the bathroom door that could easily be wiped off with a Clorox wipe (that’s what I do in my house with grubby toddler hands). Mold on the shower curtain, someone else’s shaved whiskers on the ice bin and on the toilet paper. They still use spring beds here. And they have us these “complimentary breakfast vouchers” yet no one at the breakfast bar asked for them… the elevator was a very scary ride.. wasn’t sure if it was going to stop half way through. Many light fixtures in the hall broken as well. Our TV remote didn’t have a back on it, they just threw some tin foil over the batteries and called it good.

Decent room for the price, but broken room safe that wasn't fixed. Free breakfast, but cold powdered eggs and turkey sausage didn't cut it. The pool was hot tub sized, but they did a good job cleaning the room daily. Located off the highway, but nothing is in walking distance, so you'll definitely need a rental car. Signs posted everywhere to lock your cars, but we had no incidents.
