My family hadn’t visited this place before. It was an exceptionally great time. I was able to take my son out to the floating obstacle course where he had a blast. Lifeguards were present and actively watching the swimmers. Very friendly staff and would answer any question. Even when the storm came through and flooded the entire concessions area, they were very accommodating to everyone. Would absolutely visit again with my family!

This quick and random trip was much needed! Me and my family loved it! The gardens were so cute! We missed out on the discovery center due to our own fault! The staff were all amazing! The beach was cool and so was the circus performance! Can’t beat it for $24.99 with all those different things to do 😁

I celebrated my anniversary here. me and my wife had a great time at the gardens. The biking trail was tons of fun and I recommend bringing your own bike. Bring some swimming clothes to relax at the beach during the summer time. Lots of things I do with children as well. The hotel room had some stains on the carpet but nothing too bad.

We spent a family weekend in a 2 bedroom cottage. Best weekend. Enough space and room for a max 12ppl. Kitchen fully stocked. I would advise to bring your own ice. And a extra blanket the Air works AMAZING. The beach was clean we rented a cabana and it was worth the money. Bring your own cooler with drinks and food or order at the bar margaritas were a hit and the fried and cheese were great. We are thinking about investing in a family cottage.

First time visit to Callaway Gardens and it did not disappoint. The birds of prey experience was awesome. The birds literally fly right past your head as the handlers talk about each bird. The butterfly conservatory was also very cool. Butterflies flying around you at all times, beautiful flowers and even aquatic turtles swimming around. We decided to buy a season pass. The woman that helped us at the visitor center was very nice, very helpful and very friendly. She explained all of the features of the park, explained all of the benefits of the season pass and made sure to let us know of the discounts we would receive inside the park with having that season pass. We will definitely be taking advantage of the pass over the next 12 months.

My family and I visited Callaway Garden's Pumpkin Garden with my 6 year old nephew. The lights' details in the glow by night were pure precision. The colors were beautiful, and the grounds were kept immaculate. The friendly staff and customer service were impeccable, service and friendliness which are extinct nowadays. Food and drinks are available for purchase, along with adult beverages. Also, great merchandise to purchase. I would truly recommend families to visit. Good southern family fun.

Hands down, the best customer service experience we've had in YEARS! The entire staff from the valet, front desk, grounds keepers, restaurant servers, and cleaning staff... Everyone was incredibly social and friendly! Our room was modern, bright, and gorgeous! The breakfast in the dining room was phenomenal! My husband was a major fan of the waffles and hasn't stopped talking about them, even weeks after our stay! And the Butterfly exhibit was like walking into another world. Our ONLY complaint was that the website and all of their marketing boasts about all the lakes and all the fishing you can do but we were told at EVERY lake that it was "private property and no fishing was allowed". We were only allowed to fish out of the lake next to the beach. One area, about 25 yards of shoreline. That's it. We caught two fish in three days of fishing. But the scenery and the entire experience was still 1000% worth it! We will definitely be back but we'll probably leave the fishing gear at home.

We went to the Pumpkin festival. It was wonderful and beautiful and lovely and so tragically disappointing. All the info we read online said the event ended at 10. To our great disappointment it ended at 9. We missed seeing several things due to the confusion. We were not the only ones shocked and disappointed. Several families were wandering in confusion at the closing booths and already closed rides. If it is going to close early on Thursdays, then you should clearly state that. We would have made very different choices if we knew the actual closing time.

I took my kids to the gardens and pumpkin for the afternoon. It was so pretty and fun. I definitely would go again and spend more time in the gardens. We enjoyed the butterfly area and the bugs life trail. We also went to the evening pumpkins and had so much fun. We enjoyed the corn maze and the night time festivities. I would love to go again to the pumpkins too. I definitely recommend if you have the time to go.

Over all experience for the fantasy in lights was great. The cottages how ever are not worth the money at all. They were poorly renovated. And my child was woken up at one in the morning by a smoking furnace in our unit. After calling the front desk we were moved to another cottage and told that management would contact us this morning. Upon checkout management is nowhere to be found and we feel that our situation is just swept under the rug. All of this being said it’s not worth almost $550 dollars a night to stay here. No is it worth the medical bill for treatment on my child when they can’t breath because they refuse the clean there furnaces annually. Do not recommend. Also do not fall for the we are under staffed problem it’s the excuse for all of Callaway gardens

It’s one of the best places to visit for restoration and relaxation. It’s just an hour drive from Atlanta and it has entertainment section of every age group. From private beaches to circus shows and restaurants for food and pubs, they’ve got you covered. The greenery around is serene. Definitely going back to enjoy again with family.

We came here for a short ladies trip. Our cottage was perfect! Very spacious and clean. The grounds are beautiful. The best part is how courteous and accommodating everyone was. My mom is on oxygen 24/7, so we had to bring a lot of tanks for her. On the day we checked out, we decided we’d like to go to the Animal Safari. However, we needed somewhere to leave her tanks. They happily stored them for us while we made our trip. Also, they helped us out and allowed us to check in super early since our cottage was ready. This may be an annual thing now!

So many fun things for kids to do during Pumpkin Festival! We spent 5 hours adventuring with 2 small children and they had a blast. We would highly recommend the pumpkin festival and we will come again every year. These is a ton of walking so be ready to be on your feet most of the time.

Went here for the beach vibe. Lots of sun, sand, and activities for the entire family. It was like a mini get away for us. They had some food trucks on site when we went which was a plus since we didn't want to grab anything to eat before hand. We didn't stay at any lodge becuase this place is a 45 minute drive from where we live but we have stayed in their cabins before and they were really nice. We enjoyed the butterfly center and a nice hike through one of their longest trails. Would definitely recommend for a day out with some nature.

The hotel room was very nice and comfortable and the only thing I can say that would be better with the room itself is if the bathroom light switch was actually in the bathroom and not in hallway by front door and also if there was a fan in the bathroom. The food at the buffet dinner and breakfasts were absolutely delicious! I was skeptical at paying $47 per person for a buffet that I knew I couldn't eat that much food but what I did eat was truly fabulous. I did order off the menu one night and ordered the sweet tea baked chicken and sweet potato's and that was actually not good and i ended up having to go to the bar to eat the buffet. Each time we dined in the restaurant on the property, there was never a host at the stand. Employees would even walk up to the hostess stand and see a line of people waiting and not say a word and just walk off. I do recommend that someone be at the hostess stand or have a seat yourself sign to not keep guests waiting for long periods to be seated when paying a decent amount of money for food. Our waitress we had each day in the dining room was amazing at making you feel so welcomed and always delivered superb service. The map that the hotel gives you to navigate the grounds does not even begin to name all the roads and it took us about 30 minutes to get to the butterfly atrium. The festival of lights was happening this weekend and they had some interior roads blocked. Also, some of the areas required a card to get through gates which we finally tried our room key and it worked but had someone (Andrew) who checked us in would have told us about there being areas on the property that has gates but our room key would work then we would have saved a lot of time and headaches. When asking for information on getting tickets to go through the Christmas lights, no-one seemed to know what was going on or where to purchase them or where to get on the trolley. It would have been more helpful if the concierge person or the other hotel staff had more knowledge of the events and grounds. Lastly, I was highly concerned that the cleaning service employee let someone in our room. As we were standing in our room, the door opened and a couple walked in and was surprised just as we were that they had come in the wrong room. The couple apologized and explained that they had locked themselves out of their room and just asked one of the cleaning ladies to open the door but they pointed at our door by mistake and the cleaning person opened OUR door for them. What should have happened in my opinion is the cleaning personnel should have told that couple that they would need to go to the front desk to get another key and not just take their word that the door they point at is actually their room.

Took our e-bikes or this would have been a 1 star review. The bike trails were great! Everything else felt very old and tired. We’ve always heard nice things about the grounds, but today we were less than impressed.

The butterfly's were worth the price of admission. Could have stayed there all day! What we were able to see was fantastic. Well maintained trails and roads for biking or walking. Clean lakes that were so serene. Knowledge centers for the little ones. Would highly recommend spending a day here.

Love the gardens, butterfly exhibit and birds of prey show. The details are amazing! I’ve lived in Georgia for many years, and this was my first visit here. Admission price of $30 per person is a little steep, though. Lots of great trails to hike or bike. Lots of fun things to see. There is even a beach area.

I was so excited to stay here for my birthday last weekend. We were bringing my son to the fantasy in lights. We booked the $100 Christmas package and that was the first part where things went wrong. The tree was in our room but no stockings, cookies or Santa letter. Ruined the whole point of paying for this. I went to the front desk and they said they would bring everything over. When it arrived It was ONE stocking when the offer said “stockings”. We had three people. And the cookies were burnt. Then our toilet kept clogging. Even with the smallest piece of toilet paper it would clog. My son woke up in the middle of the night with a stomach bug and had to deal with all of that AND a clogged toilet. There is no over night person to help. We had a puking child with a clogged toilet and TWO towels. Yes, they gave us two towels for 3 people. Also, our fridge didn’t work. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. We will not be back and will not recommend any one else stay here. I wrote an email and still no response. For the money we paid for the room plus the Christmas package something should be done.

Check-in at 4PM. 6:30 and still waiting for our cabin to be "cleaned". Second poor service experience here. Last trip for us. The attractions are nowhere near worthwhile compared to the frustration of trying to get in your room. As poor an experience as we have encountered at any venue. Sincerely hope your experience is better if you try it.

Beautiful, staff are the most friendly and helpful that I've ever experienced at any hotel or resort ever. Very diverse environment, especially when you include a staff. They make you feel right at home. Good menu selection on beer wine and spirits and cocktails. In the winter wonderland area during a fantasy of lights exhibit is full of vendors ice cream, adult beverages food and more. My kids and I loved it... until we got to the Festival of Light's trolley. The staff over there are so rude that I had to come edit my review. They let a man get on while smoking a cigarette, then tried to force me to sit behind him with an 8 and 12 year old. Instead of have cigarette man get off, they made us get off and wait for a different trolley. Definitely would never come for that outing ever again. My son was terrified because cigarette man's girlfriend started hurling curse words at me, and still, the staff did nothing to protect my children. Very disappointing and had my 12 year old saying"we'll never come here again". Unfortunately, the trolley incident soured what WAS an excellent trip.

My family’s first visit to Callaway Gardens and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Customer service was beyond excellent and honestly Marjorie, the concierge, is the absolute best!!!! She is a huge asset to this resort. We were disappointed with the Friday night seafood buffet but everything we ordered from the menu was fantastic! I had a lovely spa experience and look forward to visiting again.

It is difficult to navigate the property. The property map given and road signs do not perfectly correspond. We were disappointed in the amenities compared to our attendance 28 years ago. Prices for rooms are very high compared to equivalent hotels across the country. No microwave in room and no complimentary breakfast. Restaurant prices are very high. There is an outdoor pool and spa at the hotel grounds (neither are covered). We will not come back and will not recommend the resort to others -- too many better choices around the USA.

I had a work conference and celebrated my twentieth wedding with my family here. Cedric the manager made our experience so special. We even unexpectedly had car trouble and he arranged for someone to take me to pick up my car at the auto repair shop. Holly at the front desk and Aubrey at the valet area were also helpful. My kids loved the water park and beach area. The garden is beautiful, especially the butterfly exhibit.

My husband and I were recently married at Callaway Gardens, and the whole weekend was AMAZING! Our ceremony was in the gorgeous Ida Cason Chapel and our reception was on the lawn of the Lodge & Spa overlooking the lake. Everything was beautiful. We must say a HUGE thank-you to Pat, who worked with us throughout the entire planning process. Every single staff member we spoke to throughout the weekend was kind, professional, and personable. At our reception, dinner flowed seamlessly and efficiently. Callaway worked well with all our vendors and helped us throw our dream wedding, complete with a laser light show at our reception! The lights looked incredible bouncing off the trees in the nearby forest! And, throughout the weekend, there were activities for ALL ages- trails, butterflies, cocktails, golf, large areas to run around, etc. Our guests ages 2-75 all had a fabulous time. We can't speak highly enough about Callaway Gardens!

We've been coming to Callaway since 1981! We love the cottages and the Summer Family Adventure. What a wonderful tradition to carry on with my kid! Robin Lake has a nice beach with cabanas or umbrellas to rent. There's a pavilion with food and drink options. The Butterfly Center is always breathtaking! Not to mention the Birds of Prey show at the Discovery Center soars above the rest!

I had never been to the Callaway Resort and decided to celebrate my birthday there this weekend. We stayed at the lodge in a very spacious room. The resort far exceeded our expectations! From the live band on the beach, to the gorgeous lakes, the putt-putt golf course, antique car show, hot air balloons, butterfly pavilion, ‘bird of prey’ show, and the spectacular nightly fireworks…this resort did not disappoint! We are already planning to bring the entire family to the Xmas light display this fall. Callaway is A++

My husband and I were just there this past weekend for a 1 night stay so we could see the Christmas lights. The whole experience was amazing. Everyone was so nice! We ate at The Piedmont Room for dinner and then the next morning we ate there for breakfast. That Restaurant has the BEST sweet tea! Thank you everyone for your courtesy and professionalism! we had a wonderful time!

It was alright. Nothing extraordinary. The only thing worth seeing was the butterfly 🦋 garden. Other than that, you don't need to spend $54 on a ticket for each person. At the beach they have some 4 food trucks. Plus, their own food Pavillion. Food is almost same everywhere. On an average expect to shell $15-$16 for 1 🥪. It is pricey. Other than that they also have the audio & visual show for 🐦🦉. Kids & young families enjoyed it. They have golf courses. They also have trolleys that carry you back & forth b/w different parts of the garden. That's helpful.

It was refreshing to see all the news things and upgrades being done at Callaway Garden. The Butterfly Center is a wonderful place to visit with family or alone. THE LORD GOD butterflies are Simply Beautiful to see. My daughter and I always always feel happy and enjoy our time with the butterflies. Today the White Paper Kite Butterflies was very friendly. Matt is the Butterfly Center Manager, he is professional and friendly. Thank you!!!

Beautiful grounds and Christmas lights were fun. We had a blast at the Xmas Village. Cottages could use renovation. Dirty frayed couches, dated, and dirty floors. Otherwise a great time. Just not quite what we were expecting after hearing all the awesome reviews about the place. Lodge restaurant has a mean cheeseburger though, and the food there is very reasonably priced. Their Country Kitchen restaurant has a spectacular view and the food there was very good as well.

We visited for the Fantasy in Lights. Major disappointment. We chose to ride the trolley so that neither of us had to drive and could enjoy the experience. Too bad that, unless you sit in the front row of the first trolley, or on the end seats, you can't see anything and what you can see is just multiples of the same 3-5 lights slung on random trees. Dupes of Butterflies, fairies, flowers and wizards did not make up for uncomfortable seats, and blocked views. Large gaps of no lights between "scenes" just made for a long, cold miserable ride. The giant tree and field of lights seemed like it would have been amazing, if you could actually get a feel for just how large it was, instead of snippets from the middle seat of the back trolley. And that voiceover, that the driver or whoever kept having to pause... Annoying. Overpriced food and souvenirs ($17!!! Dollar Tree ornaments!) I mean, $15 corn dogs??? Bathroom was out of paper towels, so yay for washing your hands and the heading out into 32° weather. Do yourself a favor and ride the extra miles to Stone Mountain or just around your local town to look at lights.

The best place to visit and enjoy the Amazing tropical butterflies flying all around you. Beautiful trees, and plants in the room really add to a breath taking experience. A place to watch the different kinds of butterflies and learn all about them at the Day Butterfly Center. Tons of interesting, old trees. Great walking and biking paths, and a super cool garden and tons of parking inside the park and you can feel the life all around you, very peaceful. Great family place, lots to do.But there is so much more, like the beach, pool, golf, restaurants. The Fantasy in Lights Christmas light show. It is a 7 mile journey through the wooded areas of Calloway. Each area has its own theme and soundtrack ,So much to see and the Christmas Village was so pretty . The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly .

Went during October and December. I definitely by far recommend going in October. If you are someone who wants to have a magical date or outing with your family the fall season is the best time to go. Aside from the weather being much more pleasant, the decorations felt much more exciting. It had me and my partner take a second loop around! The food trucks weren’t anything to write home about but the atmosphere definitely will give you those cozy fall vibes. The corn maze in the dark is like a party, the trolley ride around the lake is nostalgic and the little plaza outside of the corn maze with the live music, overhead lights, games, food and gift shop was something we DIDNT get in December and missed ): the lights during October beat out the Fantasy Lights by a long shot and the gift shop theme is a fall lovers dream. I would recommend this over the December tickets for sure,

My family and I go for the festivities and the park. My son loves to play at the park and meet new buddies. The scenery and flowers are breathtaking especially in the spring. They do honor our military with discounts. It’s especially exciting during the holidays which is the most favorite time of the year. I can’t wait to see what’s new for Christmas Fantasy in Lights. We rented a cabin with some friends and we had a blast and it was quite relaxing.

The Christmas lights were very pretty. The trolley ride was so fun but so cold. If you decide to go make sure to bundle up and take a blanket or 2 with you. The kiddo's will definitely enjoy it.

The room was nice. The staff was helpful. The Bar had amazing food. I was not impressed with the buffet for breakfast or dinner. The property is massive. We went to see the lights and I must say it was worth it. I'd like to go back in the spring or summer to look at the gardens.

Fantasy In Lights is outstanding! The huge sea of lights and mega-tree and the tunnel at the end made our visit enchanting. The lights deserve a 5-star review, but I'm knocking the overall review to a 4 due to the before and after show experience. Before being allowed to drive through, vehicles are staged in groups out in a grassy field. The access to this area was a bit "rugged" by the time we went last week since it was raining and there was insufficient gravel in the right places to make the drive easy. I have a sedan that bottomed-out a few times on the rough road. The FIL experience is great, with the roads throughout the Gardens being well paved. When it came to leaving, we didn't need to go see the activities at the beach, so we followed the blinking Exit sign rather than the Parking sign. What a mistake! We were directed onto another muddy, rutted road over the fields leading to the exit. I almost didn't make it out as I got a little stuck at the end. My car was a filthy mess with mud caked in the wheel wells and along the doors. My advice to others is that you should follow the Parking signs (which keep you on the paved road) and then exit the parking lot directly to the ext.

Our daughter found this spot on Instagram and wanted to go for spring break. We weren't sure what to expect but this blew our expectations away. The gardens are lovely and the butterfly exhibit was a favorite spot. We spent a lot of time there. The spring time flowers were in bloom and we spent most of the day exploring. My husband said that if we had more time he would have gone back. Highly recommended.

We had spent our 25th wedding anniversary here 7 years ago and loved it. We returned this past weekend for the Festival of Lights. We arrived at 345 and were not checked in until 730pm. They kept saying no rooms were ready, come back in 15-30 minutes. We did that 3 times!! At this point we were concerned we would miss the Christmas festivities so we walked down to the Christmas market, etc. . We waited in line for 2 hours for the trolley to see the lights. We had 8pm tickets and didn’t get on the trolley until 945. We are not sure what happened in the past 7 years, but will not be returning again.

Beautiful! Stayed at the lodge, (for business purpose). I stayed in a king room facing the lake. I was very impressed with the room- comfort, quality furnishings, French door to balcony (with lake view), bathroom was spa-like with nice fixtures- a large tub and a separate tiled- glass front shower. Bedding was comfy, bath towels, hand towels and washcloths were soft and absorbent. Felt much like a retreat!

Callaway gardens is a great experience! My family came for the Fantasy in lights and we stayed in the cottages. The only thing was that there was a lingering cigarette smell that was nauseating. The exterior was a little outdated but the inside was renovated and was really nice. The kids enjoyed the butterfly exhibit a lot!! I would say that there could be more activities during non winter months. However a great visit for all of us!

Amazing!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Christmas light show. It's kind of pricey but worth it. I also recommend driving through. Don't do the trolley!!! Screaming kids and cold weather make the car ride easily more enjoyable.

Everyone was nice, and the lights were great. They were unorganized and unprepared for what I would think is one of the busiest weekends of the year. The cabins weren't ready, we waited over three hours. The bar/restaurant was understaffed from the overflow of guests that couldn't check in. No one could answer any questions about the lights. The only info we could learn from any of the staff was the trolley runs every 25 minutes. They should prepare and communicate better with staff and guests.

We went to Fantasy in Lights, which was an amazing experience, especially for kids. We had a 1 year old in the group who's reactions alone were worth it. I highly recommend it and will likely return next year. I was excited to see there was food here afterwards, until I saw the prices. I got a $5 sweet tea (looked like about 32 oz) and an $8 pretzel, which somehow ended up costing over $15. I am no stranger to expensive prices at these types of locations, but this was beyond excessive and somewhat soured what had been a perfect experience up until then. Food and drink tasted good, but I recommend bringing your own drinks and food/snacks if you want to stick to any sort of budget.

I couldn't believe the general atmosphere of this place. It's wonderful. The pace feels calm and slower and deliberate. So very clean and well kept. I think it's currently undergoing a renovation project to update the place. Great weekend trip. Would highly recommend.

Rooms We didn't stay at the resort but wish we could have. Went during the Christmas light show and was completely amazed at the detail that went into this show. We will be going back every year now. Golf I haven't golfed in over 10 years. Their course has rekindled a lost love. Beatiful scenery with a medium challenge.

The gardens were great. We made prior reservations for 2 queen beds and was given a single king bed. Didn't get much rest with 2 adults and a 5 yr old. Plus added fees. Not happy at all!

A beautiful place year round. Great for families, dates, hiking, biking, the whole deal. Butterfly pavilion is beautiful and beach is a lot of fun. The only complaint is the putt putt has seen better days. Needs an update or honestly removal for a playground extension on my opinion.. Have never personally stayed in the on-site lodging so can't say much in that area. Bottom line, I highly recommend.

The staff is extremely friendly! I was a little disappointed with my room view. I booked based on the only view advertised on the website and countless ads (desired view pictured), but overall great experience. The food was tasty and I plan to return in a few weeks to see the Christmas lights.

Always a great time with the family! We saw the raptor show, which was nice despite it having to end early due to wild raptors (osprey) in the vicinity. The butterfly house is a really fun experience for kids and adults. The buffet at the Lodge was varied and tasty. There are also lots of nice trails for walking or biking.

My husband treated me to a 2 night stay in honor of my retirement! Just wow wow wow! The resort is beautiful! Completely renovated! Our room was beautiful with a fantastic view of the lake! We have to give props to Tevin at the front desk and Ebony in food service!! They were so personable! Every employee was terrific 👍. The Fantasy of Lights was magical 😁

Every one of my 4 day stay was absolutely blissful! The rooms are nice but standard. The service however is above par all the way. Every single staff member was welcome and inviting and met every one of our unique needs in stride! The amenities are beyond belief! Something for everyone! I would recommend 100 percent

My wife and I went for 2 nights this week. We had never been. Room was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. Highly recommend the light tour, birds of prey show, and the butterfly exhibits. Trees still had a lot of color. Food was a little hit and miss. Skip the cafe at the discovery center. Piedmont for breakfast was a nice buffet but pricey. We had a late night snack at Cason’s tap room and it was good. Service was exceptional. Charlie that helps with the luggage was great. Billy that drive the shuttle to the lights trolley was great as well. Definitely worth the trip.

Friendly and helpful staff. Super nice rooms and comfortable! Relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful nature surrounding. Butterfly center so much fun and the birds of prey show awesome experience!!! The beach/aqua island is fun for all! My favorite is pumpkins at Callaway and fantasy in lights especially since they have added to them!!!😊

The staff at the Lodge is great, but otherwise Callaway Gardens is overpriced and hardly "4-Diamond". Our double queen room was small (not anywhere near as spacious as the photos make it appear) and our first night we had to call maintenance because the shower had backed up after only 30 seconds and I found myself standing in a pool of someone else's who-knows-what. Maintenance did come quickly (at nearly 10 pm), but how did the cleaning staff not realize this earlier? Our in-room coffee maker was mildewed and had stagnant water in the reservoir, and there were ants in the room, crawling up the nightstand and into our beds. The restaurants on property had very few options for healthy dining (unless you want to eat salad for your entire stay), and the rooms don't include a microwave. There is ONE microwave provided per FLOOR. 35+ rooms, 1 microwave. Even in the 90+ heat of summer, the butterfly solarium doesn't open until 10 am. Add too many people and it's quickly miserable in there. Same for the Birds of Prey exhibit - first show 11 am. Why not shift your hours to reflect the seasons instead of roasting your guests? Grossly overpriced for a "resort" that fails to deliver. Oh, and add a $40 resort fee to each night of your stay.

The lights at Callaway were nice. Others definitely hyped it up for me and made it seem like it was gonna be WAY better than it was, but it was nice to visit for a date night. The trolley ride was nice. Bring a blanket, hat, scarf, hand warmers, and dress warmly for an evening in December. It was about an hour ride. I ate a pretzel dog that was good, $8. The walk through of the lights was fun too. I am glad I went, but don't think I need to go again. Parking was included with the Thursday lights ticket. Thursday was cheaper than the weekend which is why I chose that day.

My mom said not to post a review but I'm posting one anyways. This place absolutely sucked. From the room, to the cabana, to the service as well. My mom didn't have a good experience with some girl at the front desk. She had to ask someone else for help. Our cabana was super dirty and someone who didn't even pay for it was sitting in it. My mom asked for a room at the end of the hallway because she's on crutches and needs to be near the elevator. They put her all the way at the end of the hallway! And finally, she asked for a 12:00 checkout but for some reason ended up with an 11:00 one. But that's okay because I was soooo ready to go! The only people there that showed us hospitality was a waitress named Amber and a person who worked at the beach named Hayden.

We traveled from New Jersey, as we’re still on our summer break. We planned for two days at Callaway.. a Tues and Wed. I understand that the folks in Georgia have returned to school but we are still in the midst of our summer and it was quite disappointing that many of the activities we came to Callaway for are closed during the week. These two days were a big part of our trip to the state. The place is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Golf was fantastic.. the courses are great. No zip line and no Aqua Island available during the week though.

Definitely a place that you want to visit if you're ever in Columbus Georgia go to Callaway Gardens cuz it's only 45 minutes away and also stop at the Country Store and don't forget to go to the Piedmont Friday night for their seafood buffet! Everything was top of the line! Definitely worth it!!! such a beautiful scenery!!!😊 A vacation I will never forget!!

Callaway Gardens is the perfect, wholesome family getaway. Our favorite family activity is riding our bikes through the gardens to the Butterfly Center and Ida Cason Chapel. We spend a week at the cottages together every year and enjoy quality family time playing golf, swimming, and relaxing in this beautiful natural environment!

Visited Callaway Gardens Cottages for 4 nights during Christmas. AMAZING!! My whole family had a spectacular time. When I first was going I wish there was pictures but honestly what is provided on their website is exactly how it looks. Very clean fully equipped kitchen w/ plates, cups, utensils and pots. My family and husband family had an amazing time at fantasy and lights. We took the trolly because wouldn’t be fun to drive ourselves and not being able to enjoy the light show. We will be attending in the summer for fishing and the beach so excited.
