I could not have been more surprised or impressed by the level of food that we were served. Everything was cooked to perfection and they were very, VERY busy, yet did not compromise in taste or presentation. The pork belly and the monkey bread were really great ways to start off what would end up being one terrific dining experience. This filet was quite possibly the best I've had. My friend was so impressed, he ordered a second one! It's resting on a cast iron pan with the tastiest, cheesy grits I have ever eaten, and a side of green beans that I think my family would say were better than mine, and they all love my green beans. The other dish that impressed was their jambalaya. Packed with flavor and seafood. I even told our server that I wish I lived closer so I could dine here again regularly.

The food is very good. The room is well appointed. Overall a nice experience. Our only complaint is that the service is very slow. There seemed to be no sense of urgency or concern. When the food came to the table it came out piece meal over ten minutes. By the time everybody got their food, half the tables food was no longer warm.

It was my youngest daughter's 25th birthday so she chose Ad Lib for her dinner party. I was glad she did. This place is amazing, the food was incredible, compliments to the chef and our server went above and beyond his duty. I would definitely recommend dining here for any type of occasion. Everyone equally enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere was kid friendly and cateres to all crowds.

The food was reasonable priced. The hostess was very nice, but the waitress was not kind. Dinner was just alright (filet mignon, mac/cheese and seafood pot). 5/15/2022 around 7pm. I had the same waitress the next morning for breakfast. This was my first time in Pennsylvania...not impressed. I can only hope I make a better impression on folks who visit my city.

The good,, Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. The bad, The food was not to my taste. The cesar salad had fish in it. Im not sure who thought that was a good idea but I say, no thanks. The main course was Mac and cheese with pork. It had paper thin things on top that ,I thing were some kind of French fry. Not to my liking. After 2 hours I left without the dessert. Time was up! The men's room off of the dining area had no paper towels in both machines. Again beautiful place and nice staff. I can't wait till people start going back to work!

The food and service here is fantastic. I ordered an old fashioned from the bar and the balance of flavors was perfect. It was even served with one large ice ball. We shared the delicious marinated olives. The crostini was lightly toasted and beautifully displayed. I ordered the sea bass tacos and they were rich and delicious. The real show stopper was their Ad Lib burger. The pretzel bun, dijonaisse Vermont cheddar, truly one of three best burgers ever. Their fries and chips are fresh, made there goodness. Go. This place is great you won't be disappointed.

Edit: as we had a second experience there that was exceptional. It was Christmas Eve and we thought the place would be packed but to our surprise my family was the only ones in the restaurant. Everyone we came in contact with was overwhelmingly nice and helpful. The food was great and unlike the first time came out when it was supposed to. However the second experience doesn’t change the first one so I can give 5 stars. The food was good but the service was extremely poor. We had a gift certificate for a meal for 2 and we brought it to the attention of the server when we were first seated. Her whole demeanor changed, she told us that she had just got the first certificate like ours the day prior. The food wasn't prepared the way the menu stated but was still very good. However the first appetizer came out with one entre, then 10-15 minutes later another entre came and about an hour later the first appetizer ordered came. The server never came back and offered to fill our coffee or check on drinks. She did acknowledge the appetizer issue was her fault. When our bill came I just had to ask her if the people that used the certificate the previous day had given her a bad tip, ( I was assuming that's what happened and she thought we would do the same). And to my surprise she said no, they tipped her in cash very well. Anyway I still gave her a $23 tip on an $80 total bill to be nice, but if the next time we come back we get her as a server again I will ask for another. We did schedule to bring our kids back in a couple weeks and we think they would love the menu.

I'm not typically one to venture into hotels for their dining, but this place was an exception I'm glad I made. They offer a casual dining area or a more upscale steakhouse dining experience. We chose the casual side, but my server Ken was very attentive and kind. Although we were in the casual side, it still felt like an exceptional restaurant. The cocktails and food were both great, and came out to our table fast. I'm excited to return to try more food and drinks.

Pretty bland experience. I was very excited to try this hotel restaurant based on the reviews, however... My $14 drink was pre-batched. Need I say more? So I decided to not order a meal, but I got the grilled oysters. They were OK. Bartender was dry and not at all interested in the patrons. I have no idea who is impressed with this restaurant, but it's not me. .... I'd give 3 stars if the prices were cheaper or if they actually mixed proper cocktails.

The food was mediocre at best. It is overpriced for the quality of the food that you receive. I ordered fish tacos and they were completely un flavorful and had no seasoning or flavor to them. I would not recommend them for lunch, however, dinner will probably be A different experience for people coming to this restaurant.

Surprisingly good restaurant. We are staying in the hotel and decided just to eat here for dinner with our group. Everything was good, well prepared and tasty. The place was very busy but we managed to have good service. Shepards pie was excellent, a twist on the traditional recipe.

We decided to eat here after my one year old's busy birthday weekend to relax with family before they left town. However, my mom and I were left hungry by the time we left. Mine and my mom's eggs benedict were sweet (which is not the case for eggs benedict). We sat waiting for the waitress to come by to ask us how our food was, but we did not see her until everyone else at the table was already done eating. I asked why my food was sweet, she went and asked the chef, and she came back telling us they ran out of regular English muffins and substituted for honey wheat muffins. The waitress said "at least they were healthy, right?" and walked off before I could tell her I wanted something else. No manager came over asking if there was something they could do. We weren't asked if they could give us something else to take home with us, we just sat there hungry. My family asked for it to be taken off the bill and they seemed annoyed we asked (even though we couldn't eat our food). No chef or manager came over to ask why we didn't like the food or to make things right even after asking for mind and my mom's food to be taken off the bill. The only advice was "ask for a different waitress the next time you are here". So disappointed after hearing great reviews from friends of ours. I will say, the waitress with bangs and blonde hair was absolutely fabulous, but we only had her for the complimentary mimosa and monkey bread. Giving more than one star because of her great service at the beginning of our time there.

Stayed at the Hilton Harrisburg for a conference so the restaurant was chosen mostly for convenience but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I loved being able to make a reservation on Open Table. The food was tasty and the staff was attentive and accommodating of my table mate with a food restriction. The tablet menus were a little tricky and one ended up needing updating for it to work but that was a small blip to an otherwise positive experience.

Good food, good atmosphere, but it took about 20 minutes to get my food (just ordered the two-eggs breakfast, nothing special). I also had a 20 minute wait to be seated even when there were several empty tables, but the hostess seemed to quickly get confused on who arrived first and I got skipped in line by several parties before saying something and getting a table. The hostess also seemed to disappear for several minutes and led to a lot of confusion among guests, some of which eventually sat themselves at empty tables.

Ad Lib is in the Hilton Harrisburg Hotel on 2nd. They have a wonderful breakfast set up. Full buffet, continental breakfast, and ala carte. The servers are always so kind and you're never left waiting. If you're not hungry for breakfast, stop by for lunch, dinner, or drinks. While you're here, check out the membership to the Hill Society.

I took my boyfriend to Brunch for his birthday and we both loved it. It started with complimentary mimosas and monkey bread from a skillet. We had sausage with carmelized onions Omelet, croissant, potatoes…. They surprised Mark with a dessert of cheese cake, macaroons, brownie and fruit with a candle burning in honor of this birthday….Parker was an outstanding waitress. We’ll be back and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place. excellent food . Maybe I should have took the picture before I ate half of it. But I wanted to at least get a picture of something to show. Service could have been better. Timing of the courses were off temperature of food was lukewarm. I blame that on the service though not the kitchen staff because the food wasn't delivered on time. Or right after it was prepared.. But overall great place and will return

I haven't eaten out on Thanksgiving in over 20 years. Everything was delicious. The entire staff from the manager, hosts, to the servers and food runners were excellent. My favorite was the stuffing. This was perfect for the price and they gave you more than enough to feel like you got stuffed at your own family's house. Highly recommend for their regular menu as well.

Ad Lib in the Harrisburg Hilton offers such a great assortment of delectable dishes! It's very easy to fill up on their seasonally changing small plates, or enjoy their heartier fare. I enjoyed great inventive service at the bar on my own, and can't wait to come back with a group of friends.

Super friendly bar staff. Snacked and had a glass of wine. Place is really nice experience. Phenomenal wine list with 1700. I recommend the olives and the Caesar.
