1st time here, and it did not disappoint! The food was beyond expectations. The service, however, was PHENOMENAL!!! We made reservations for my husband's birthday, we arrived 10 mins late due to a parking snafu, and we were still seated and waited on immediately. Rob was the most amazing, entertaining host along with the manager, Kelsey. There was a delay in getting our entrees, and they apologized profusely and went out of their way to provide complementary bites and dessert. Service that goes above and beyond is hard to find, more so in this post pandemic environment. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!

We went for my husband's Birthday. I read an article a couple of months ago that this is the BEST Steakhouse in the state of PA. I have to agree.... it was. We enjoyed everything about this place. The food was amazing. If you order a steak, they have about 5 different preparations to choose from. They are included with the price of the steak. They've done a terrific job making each preparation different. You choose how you want it cooked and how you like it served on the plate. Their sides are amazing as well. We tried the crispy Brussels and the Sweet Potatoes. They were so tasty. I've been on a diet for months, but this meal was so well worth going off my diet for. I even had to get dessert, which was amazing along with the cappuccinos we had with dessert. Our server, Ashley, was phenomenal. We'll definitely have to go back and have another meal here. Just so fantastic. Treat yourself..... you only live once!

This was BY FAR the best dining experience we have ever had in Harrisburg, PA. We have already said we will be coming back once a month. The service was SPECTACULAR! There was not one thing that we tried that didn’t have us gobsmacked. And don’t get me started on the ambiance. I proposed to my wife here tonight… and everything was phenomenal! We can’t wait to go back.

Points are for the environment, drinks and how they displayed the food. The service was ok, i am not sure if it’s too busy on a Friday night… but they made my steak mid-well when i asked for mid-rare… kinda disappointed lol

Had 7:30 PM reservations on 6/18/2022. Ambiance was nice and our server was very pleasant. Steak lived up to the reputation they have. The meal was going well until we noticed a mouse crawling under the table across from us. As shocked and alarmed we were, we were happy that we at least finished our meals. Paying $100 per person in a establishment like this we did not expect to encounter this and became very disappointed. We went to the bar to finish our drinks in disbelief. The server did offer to buy us a drink after we let her know what had happened but we politely declined the gesture. For a first time at this “well known” restaurant we were not delighted.

Everything was top notch. Service. Food. Atmosphere. Excellent. Located in the Hilton. Lacking good signs directing you where to go but once you find it it's worth the hunt

The food was absolutely amazing and our server was wonderful. That said, everything took a really long time and our meals were not super complicated. The food was worth the wait and I am thankful that we had the time to wait. I had the 21 Day Dry Aged 14 oz NY Strip along with the 1700 Preparation (Whipped Potatoes, Root Vegetables, House Worcestershire - which is gluten free) I ordered my steak medium rare and it was done perfectly. And, proof that they are truly a steakhouse was the perfectly done steak at medium rare temperature without an attempt to talk me into cooking it more. Thank you. Whipped potatoes were amazing. Carrots, in my opinion were slightly underdone but were tasty. For dessert, I had Chocolate Marquise (Macerated Strawberries, House Granola, Basil) and it was absolutely to die for. So good. This was a little more than I typically spend for a meal but had a wonderful range of choices/prices. The meal here was as good as any truly fine steakhouse but my final check was less than I expected it to be. The steak prices when I visited ranged from $35 to $88 with the bulk of the steaks in the $40-55 range. Every ounce of the steak was tender and there was zero gristle. Worth the price. The higher end steaks ($80-88) were Wygu so that is also not a surpirising price.

From the moment we walked in for our 5:30pm reservations everything was taken care of. Our server Issac was on point, and the steak was the best we've ever had. Everything from the bread, to the sides being perfectly seasoned all complimented the steak well. The cast iron cookie dessert was also amazing. If you're looking for a dining experience in Harrisburg this is it. We'll be returning regularly.

From beginning to end my experience was a thumbs up experience. I attended a convention and was dining alone. The wonderful hostess suggested sitting at the bar, which was the best choice, because Andrew, the bartender, is what every restaurant needs in the way of an attentive, helpful, and personable guide to a wonderful dining experience. His suggestions to his customers and the care/attention he gives them is top notch. From my observations while eating, I can tell the restaurant staff are all high caliber. So it gets even better...the food was amazing...I started with a Caesar Salad that had me wanting more. I followed that up with an Angus 8oz filet (rare) with a chef's preparation of Wild Mushroom Ragou with a little Serrano Ham that was out of this world and complimented the filet very well. Everything is ala carte so you don't have to get anything else, but that didn't stop me from getting 2 sides and each side is enough for 2 people. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Asian Pear, Scallions, Walnuts and Five Spice and the Baby Bells with Shashitos and Cippolinis. A vegetarian could have a 5 star meal just on those sides alone. I ate everything and was extremely satisfied. If you are in Harrisburg and you want to have a great dining experience, then come to 1700 Degrees!

One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!!! We had reservations for our group of 12 to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Rob was our server. He went above and beyond to make our evening wonderful. The food was TOP NOTCH! The steak is phenomenal, and the sides are easily enough to be shared. We’re pretty high maintenance/tough critics when it comes to food and service. Tonight definitely goes on our favorites list!

Rob was a wonderful server and the food was novel. It was great to get dressed up and go downtown to enjoy a meal with family over the holidays. The valet parking was a big draw and I feel that it was well worth the trip downtown for this wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone there that made it such a great outing.

We were only in town for a few nights and discovered this place on our last night. It was unbelievably good. Started with old fashioned’s and martinis and they were excellent! Had the seafood sampler and steaks for dinner and everything was superb! Crème brûlée and their chocolate dessert were to die for. Highly recommend for a nice evening our. Joseph, our waiter was excellent…very attentive and friendly. All around great place for dinner.

1700 Steakhouse was a phenomenal dining experience with a great selection of appetizers, entrées, desserts, and drinks. The staff/employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The appetizers were great, the steaks were perfectly prepared, the wagyu was dead on, and drinks/desserts were awesome. The prices are fair, not the cheapest, but absolutely worth the quality of food they serve. We have absolutely no complaints and will absolutely dine here again in the future.

The VIP service looks great. We however did not experience that level of service. Right after my table was seated a couple came in seated behind us and consumed all of our server & floor managers attention. Once our orders were placed there wasn't much interaction. We had ordered a bottle of wine with our entrees that never came. I finished the back half of my meal without a beverage. Once we finished our meals someone walked over and said " I have bread for your table if you want it?" I would have liked it to come after the starters we ordered. The food was outstanding and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the menu items. We loved the seafood starter for 2 would highly recommend it if you like cold seafood 🦞

There absolutely is not a better dining experience in Central, Pa than 1700 Degrees. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you are a cared for and valuable customer to everyone you talk to. The service is top notch. Tyler, our waiter, is a true professional at his craft. The atmosphere is beautiful and elegant. But it's the food that steals the show. The food is divine perfection. Starting with the mouth-watering marrowbone appetizer, a perfectly done rib eye steak, incredible sides and finishing with a decadent creme brulee, I have never had a finer meal.

Would 10 out of 10 recommend and would come back again. Went there for an anniversary and our waiter (Rob) and the rest of the team were beyond fantastic and exceeded every expectation possible. They truly made for a wonderful evening. Our dinner was no different from our service. Drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert were delicious! Already looking forward to going back!

Made Reservations for our Anniversary Dinner. Ambiance was really warm and cozy Right off the bar the waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was out of this world. The best steak and appetizers I’ve ever had to date. The Bone Marrow appetizer was phenomenal and Tortilini. For Dinner we had the 8 ounce filet prepared 1700 style with the bacon/lobster combo.

Ever see the show “Best thing I ever ate”? Mine surprisingly was here. Travelled for business in January 2022 and got the grilled mahi mahi. It was fantastic. I’ve had seafood in Portland, comfort food in Arkansas, BBQ in Texas and steaks in KC and never expected my best meal would be in Harrisburg, PA. Spectacular. Order it. Thanks!
