Subway Cafe is either a staple or a hidden gem depending how you look at it. Crispy cracker crust pizza is so unique and so hard to find. I love coming here and would highly recommend to anyone passing by or in the area. Tasty and flavorful sauce, just the right amount of cheese, super yum! The service is always fast too! Can’t wait to return again!

I haven't here for a long time. It did not disappoint. The wait service was excellent. Very attentive. Great portions of food. Chicken parm sandwich was perfect.

Stopped by on a recent trip to Harrisburg. I wanted to see if they really had the best personal pizza ever. My wife and I ordered two personal pizzas, a pepperoni and a Mexican pizza. They were really good pizzas but price was a bit high. Two pizzas, one ice tea, a water, and tip was about $35.

For the past two days I have been ordering their plain pie with extra cheese and it's delicious and definitely in my top 5 of my entire lifetime and I'm 45. I live in Lower Bucks County and the pizza around me is outstanding. Finding the Subway Cafe while out here working was the best treat.

A Harrisburg Institution. Come for the crispy thin crust personal pan pizzas. The meatball pizza is our favorite. The spaghetti and meatballs are great too. This is a must stop if you are a local or just passing through.

First time my wife and I ever ate at this location and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We got fried calamari for an appetizer and not only was the calamari fried well but the sauce that it comes with is amazing. We also ordered philly cheese steak and regular cheese pizzas both very tasty and baked to perfection! We'll definitely be back again.

Can't reccomend this place enough! Their pizza is awesome, and unique. The pizzas are personal size, not your standard pies, but the taste is amazing. The crust is thin and crispy and honestly I haven't ever tried anything quite like it. Also highly reccomended are their "fish bowl" beers, which complement the pizza nicely. Reasonably priced and nice vintage feel (not retro, vintage), make this a must stop spot if you are in the area

First time for my wife and I and we loved it. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and it was fried perfectly and the sauce that comes with it is amazing. We also ordered a philly cheesesteak pizza. Every bite was filled with so many flavors from the mushrooms to the onions to the sauce. Everything they put on the pizza was perfect. The environment was comfortable and our waitress was very polite and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We'll definitely be back! 👍

Really cool spot to get a pizza that is a little different. Like a portal to the past this place transports back. Pizza come a personal size with very thin crust.

Visited because of reviews, but must have had an off night. None of our three meals were good. My son insisted his pizza dough came from the freezer. My chicken parm was thin, dry and hard to cut. My wife did not enjoy her burger. Only plus was the good service.

Always a great meal and a good time at the Subway. The servers make you feel like an old friend. Whenever we’re near Harrisburg we try to time it up so that we’re near the Subway at dinner time.

Great food, great service, great prices! Had the chicken parm pizza which was fantastic. Even if you’re not a thin crust person you’ll still probably enjoy their pizza. It won’t break the bank and the service was quick and polite. Will definitely be back

This place hasn't changed since I've been a kid; I still remember seeing Mrs. Giusti in the kitchen. Known for their excellent pizza and fishbowl beer glasses, Subway is always a great place to visit and a Harrisburg institution. Here's wishing them another 76 years!

Best pizza in town by far! I'm from Pittsburgh and have been looking all over town for good pizza. This is it! Beware: this place gets BUSY. Small, cozy dining room. Excellent service. Can't beat pizza.

Great neighborhood restaurant that has been around for many years and hasn't changed much. Delicious home made sauces and wonderful desserts

Extent fair, and great prices. I think the best authentic Italian in the city. Family has been at it for years, it still has the charm of the 1950# make over. Clean and comfortable. Great food for a great price, good staff, and excellent banter with our waitress.

Hadn't been there in 20 wanted to check it out. Food as I remember, good service, good. Until I handed the server my credit card to pay. She informed. Me there was a 3 5 per cent sir charge that will be added to my bill. It was not on the bill, menu and I was not informed prior to ordering. On a 40 $$ bill its nothing but the owner obviously doesn't think much of his employees to put them in the position of having to explain his freed. They jeopardize their tips trying to explain to customers why it's not posted on the menu or told be4 u order. I will not return and I'm sorry for the servers. Oh yes there is a 3x5 card above the cash register good luck reading that

Don't let the exterior fool you or the nostalgic interior, It's a good spot for lunch. They serve lunch sized pizzas and they are tasty and fresh. Been there several times and no matter what I ordered it didn't disappoint. The fries are the thin fry variety, I ordered a plate for the table and they were gone. If you are out for a quick lunch with free parking I recommend you give them a try.

Eclairs are as yummy as ever!!! They were busy for a 7:30 take out order on a Friday night, done on line 1 hr beforehand, as I had to wait for a personal size pizza.

I decided to try a meal from the Subway Cafe after reading the rave reviews. I also like to support family-owned businesses. I ordered Calamari and a salad through Doordash today. The Calamari was good, but I found a dead cockroach in my salad after I ate half of it. I now have to question the cleanliness of the establishment and the safety of all of their food. Is this restaurant up to health code standards? This situation has been escalated with Doordash, but I felt it warranted a review here as well. I am not one to complain, but again, I feel this time it's warranted.
