This was a nice hotel that we stayed at for a hockey tournament recently. The biggest driver of my review was the customer service. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make us comfortable. Especially Stefanie at the restaurant and bar. She was so friendly and helpful. We had a large group and she didn’t miss a beat. She was great with the kids and made our stay so much better thanks to her help and caring. She went above and beyond to take care of us and I greatly appreciated it!

We actually had to leave this hotel with no refund it was so bad! Crack head central hanging out across the street. Hotel is Valet parking only in the garage for $25. Front desk and parking staff were all great! The whole hotel needs work including painting the doors as you enter and exit. Hotwire has this at 3.5 star which makes no sense at all. It’s a 2 star max. The way to the rooms was dark and wallpaper destroyed. The whole way down the hall. The room was hideous and destroyed as you look around. Everything ripped or dented and rusted light fixtures. Coffee tray kept opening on its own no matter what you did to keep the walk way around the bed clear. Major touch up needs to be done to everything wood if they hired someone to do so. Closet doors jam up and don’t close. Curtains from the Brady Bunch show with a 32” junk Tv. Dark and very tiny hotel room. I wouldn’t stay if they paid me! To those that know a true 3.5 star hotel, this is far far far from it. Stay away if you have kids or even on vacation passing through. This downtown city is not kid friendly. Main lobby is very deceiving.

I usually don't have the money to stay at a great hotels. This was a rare occasion for me. The staff was top notch. I even had a staff member get me some Ranch dressing. He was polite and went out of his way to do so. What he didn't know was my girlfriend is type 1 diabetic. He actually doesn't even know how important what he did was. They all are were very accommodating. Definitely recommend this place.

Good location and the breakfast buffet very good. The receptionist was lovely. Would have given 5 stars but the room 411 needed a little more tlc. Room was clean but I found a few flaws. Something on the coffee machine plug 🔌 little nasty whatever it was. Sides of the press had hand marks and the shower temperature wasn’t very hot. Other than that I would stay again if back in the area. Very comfy bed 🛌. Every employee there was friendly and greeted me at every stage.

First, be prepared to pay $25 to park, did not know about any other alternatives. Secondly, it is in the heart of crackville, all of the homeless population walking around screaming, hollering and cussing at each other. I was here for the holiday parade which goes right through this area surprisingly. Last thing, I went to turn on the air conditioner as the room smelled and then dust started flying out, being in property management I filled the face off, took photos and showed management in the a.m. The "GM" didn't seem concerned but atleast I said something and showed him the photos, which he didnt seem to even look at. The shower was disgusting too and I showed him those photos. Don't expect a breakfast buffet or continental because it is not always an option. Their menu prices are 2x normal pricing (Yes, I know it's a hotel). I would not stay again or recommend as a travel agent.

We survived our experience, although not a great one. 1. The room was spacious, but the bathroom door didn’t lock. The door was heavy and jammed all the time, needed to wrestle it to open. Not ideal when staying with a fussy baby. They didn’t have any cribs, said they were all in use at the moment, ok. It’s not really prime time for vacationing so maybe they had just one or two cribs in the whole hotel? 2. The shower had to be the most ridiculous thing ever. We were given an accesible room, there was no light in the shower itself, only the mirror lights in the bathroom. When the curtains were pulled, the shower area was dark. The water leaks out of the shower area, and after just a short and quick shower, the entire bathroom floor was just a puddle of water. 3. The valet guys were nice. When we checked in, he patiently waited for us while we unloaded our bags, didn’t rush us. Even got us a cart for our luggage. But don’t be fooled, someone at some point ran our car into a wall of some sort, photo attached. Minor scratch, but annoying

Conveniently located in downtown Harrisburg, this hotel provides valet parking, which is very important to me as a woman traveling alone who is confined to walking with cane. The hotel staff were very kind and attentive - from the men who parked my car each day, to the waiter/bartender in the restaurant who took my dinner order. Front desk crew were quick and efficient. Their snack shop is open 24/7, and they have a small Starbucks kiosk set-up in the lobby where I purchased coffee ech morning. The rooms, although small, were clean and the bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows.

Very friendly and helpful service just steps from the Pennsylvania Capitol Complex. Modern and clean with rooms refreshed in the last 5-7 years. The communal toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc) are definitely the low point of the stay. Those large pump bottles have to go! If hotels realize that guests don’t enjoy sleeping in the same dirty sheets as the last person, why would a hotel think we would enjoy sharing our soap and shampoo with the previous guest?

The room specifically 317 has bed bugs! This hotel even has bed bugs is atrocious! They should shut down until they can change the carpet and the chairs and the bed and bedding. To risk people going home with bed bugs or spending the night to get eaten alive is despicable. I wasn’t in the room more than 10 minutes before I felt something crawling on me. Hotel is definitely not worth the super high hold an the price on the rooms in general. Your better off staying at the Hilton 2 streets down ! I’m going back

Valet service is atrocious. Check on your vehicle, it might go missing and Crown will not care. Attended a conference there. Had paid valet parking. Valet on duty was rude from the beginning. I was given a ticket told to leave my keys on the dashboard and it will be taken into the lot. Came down to the lobby five hours later. Only to find my car still sitting at the front lobby, right next to the road, unlocked with the keys still on the dash. Making, it that anyone could have taken it. Upon inquiring about why this happened. I was appalled to find my vehicle was never checked into Crown system and got a significant amount of excuses, but not a valid reason for the kind of error made. Anyone could have made claim to my car or simply just got into it and drove off because the key was very visible if you came close enough to it. Asked about the process of making a formal complaint based on the severity of issue. Was given the run around throughout the rest of the stay by the the manager on duty, the valet manager and both the general and assistant general manager. Everytime I contacted them, I was treated with disdain. My two days there was very stressful because I was worried about the safety of vehicle. I would never recommend staying there if you want peace of mind and relaxation.

All the staff, valet, and hotel manager were friendly. Clean rooms, great restaurant and bar. If anything isn’t right, the staff and manager will work to correct it. Super happy with our stay and the location to UPMC is great. We will stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms (family/2 queens) was a good size and comfortable. My son's really enjoyed the pool (no lifeguard but at 3 1/2ft to 9 ft deep & reasonable length, big/quiet enough to actually swim a few lengths rather than just paddle). Would definitely be happy to stay again.

Zero stars should be an option. Valet is a joke. They yell at you the entire time. Took over an hr for them. They never gave me a ticket and it was my fault that there was a new guy working and didn't know how to do his job. There was no hot water, and the toilet was clogged the second i walked into the room. The doors are extremely heavy and heard them closing from the hall all hours of the night. Also, I could hear all of the road traffic all night. If you want a nice relaxing hotel and friend staff stay away from this place.

We are enjoying great Memorial Day weekend receiving exceptional treatment from valet to reception and room services and outstanding quality room. All staff were warm and friendly. Chaynne and Anna were exceptionally happy and helpful. The quite and spacious rooms were convenient for the whole family stay. Kids enjoyed the warm indoor pool. Thanks to the hotel staff for making our stay fabulous. This hotel will be our annual sanctuary during memorial weekend Hershey Tournament.

Really nice staff; friendly and helpful. But this place is noisy. The room doors all slam and you occasionally hear other guests through the walls. If you like to sleep in, this is not the place for you--especially if your room is near housekeeping. Another odd thing is that the water dispenser in the gym doesn't work, even though there are cups provided. When I mentioned that to the staff, they said was due to Covid protocol. But the hotel observes no other Covid protocol, so it just seemed like an excuse to not fix it (every other hotel I've stayed at in the U.S. over the last two years has had a functioning water dispenser in its gym). This place could be more appealing if they invested a bit of money and effort to make some standard improvements.

Every staff member here that I've interacted with was so pleasant. Parking is $25, valet, but you can come and go as you please. Rooms are not bad if you're staying for a weekend. Bed was really comfortable! Room and bathroom was clean. The views are pretty cool, overlooking Harrisburg on whatever side you are on. This spot is literally on the strip of local bar scene, only a 5 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel!

Decent location in the heart of Harrisburg. The rooms were awful. The bathroom was missing a door knob and we got locked out of it. It took hours maintenance to unlock the door and fix it, forcing us to use the lobby bathroom that hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was no compensation for the issues we had with the room and staff was unhelpful. The beds were rock hard. Sleeping on the floor would have been just as comfortable. 1/10 - will never stay at the Crowne Plaza again.

Had an enjoyable weekend staying in a King sized room, there was minimal noise for a downtown location. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit. Plenty of food options within walking distance. The room felt cramped for 2 people with the King sized bed making the furniture feel too close together. The bathroom was clean and well supplied, but is sized for one person at a time. The bed was extremely comfortable, easily the comfiest hotel bed we had slept on.

The location is excellent. The front desk day time personnel and manager needs some work in customer service but as far as the other personnel in the restaurant, valet and house keeping they are excellent, polite, helpful and very professional. I would of gave 5 stars across the board but like I mentioned the daytime front of house needs some training in service. Oh another little tid bit, don't be sitting with cell phones in hand and ignore the desk phone ringing while being watched. I would stay here again because of how we were treated from the other staff, excellent customer service. Keep up the great work.

I was on a business trip to Harrisburg University. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to lots of the "action" in Harrisburg. There were a few issues with the room, though. First off, I took three showers in total on the trip, and the first one took forever for the water to become hot, although it did eventually get VERY hot. Also, the air conditioner was loud and it rattled, forcing me to turn it off. Thankfully, the weather this week was just right. But if it were a hot summer day, this could become a MAJOR problem. The hotel is also very close to train tracks, and I could hear trains in the middle of the night. The hotel is good if you have an event downtown like I did, but be forewarned!

Lovely stay made extra special by the friendly and helpful staff. The location is great and was ideal for exploring the city a short walk from the capitol building and train station. The valet parking was super handy and the team were prompt to retrieve our car in a timely manner. The reception were super welcoming and made sure all our question were answered. The breakfast team made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we wanted.

Wow --- what a great location! This hotel is right off the exit and in the center of everything. Everything is walkable and the sights are beautiful to look at along the way. The hotel is moments from the river where we discovered a look out and an amazing bridge to cross. It was a bummer when I realized breakfast was $20 ... I'd rather they offer a minimal coffee bar at best. I love breakfast food, don't get me wrong, just usually later then most offer complimentary breakfast. So to pay $20 for breakfast in order to get coffee and a banana and a piece of toast seemed rather wasteful. I was gifted a coffee and another coffee at checkout which was very nice and helpful. The valet team were all wonderful as well. I was so grateful. It was all together a wonderful trip and I would visit again.

I really wish I could give this a higher rating because this location has some positives. But depending on who you are dealing with if you have an issue it will either be really good or really bad. Example I had no hot water in my room and it took no less than 4 conversations to get it looked at. Was told it was fixed. Speaking to manager at that after returning his call tell me his shift is ending and now it’s the night manager problem, was no the response I was expecting. That really put a sour not on the trip. The night manager did make a great effort but 2 days with cold water showers really sucked.
