I've had several stays here and all have been wonderful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Service is aways fantastic. The hotel is located in downtown Harrisburg, not far from the waterfront and some rooms even have a pretty good river view. The 2 restaurants in the hotel are both amazing.

Nice hotel overall. Rooms clean, dinner in the steak house was yummy! Staff pleasant and helpful. A couple downers though. Mostly, no coffee available until 7am. Not really acceptable in what is billed as a 4-start hotel. Also, stayed on executive floor and the lounge was closed, the circulating fresh-air fan that removes air from the bathroom was off. Definitely, not worth the extra we paid for the room.

Well, let’s start out by saying the valet service. It took them four hours to park the car because it was a five speed. Our first night staying here we could not get the room below 75°. I also looked at the heating system and found that the air filter that was in it has not been changed for five months and it was completely hog. Filthy and disgusting. The next day at the hotel. My wife is at a conference at the hotel. They completely lost power through the elevators and all the conference rooms. The gym lost power, and the pole is power. This went on for hours, no one was able to use the elevators. I had to walk up 10 floors. I consider myself lucky. Because there was a lot of people checking in that day they had to carry their luggage up 10 or more floors. I talk to the front desk about the room heating up. They gave me a new air filter and they provided a fan that they had delivered to the room. Unfortunately, the fan did not work. They did not spin and the motor was overheating. I gave it a little span with a plastic fork, and it started up. Thank God. This is not call the room down but it made it somewhat bearable. They told me this is because the building with that heat. But a lot of people I talk to you on the 10th floor stated that their rooms were also overheated. Throughout the rest of the building people said that they were very comfortable at 68° to 70°. And that they were able to get cool air from their system. Because of the power outage. This is after the power came back on the kitchen was not able to provide us with any dinner. The next day, the final day of our stay. I packed up all our things on a food cart. Because all the luggage carts were nowhere to be found, and the staff did not know where they were. after I lost my room, it took me 20 minutes to get an elevator to take me down to the first floor. This is because today there was an elevator failure. Gas got trapped in the elevator and the fire company had to come and get them out. so I waited a half an hour to get an elevator to be able to take me to the first floor. After which I check my luggage and with the front desk. And went out and talk to the valet. I gave them my number and explain that I had a five speed and I was going to be leaving in an hour and I wanted to give them a heads up so they were able to get my car here in time since I have a hard time finding people to drive five speeds. well after an hour and a half my car was still not available. I did talk to them again. And then they sent out to go get my car. And this was my experience with this Hilton, which I thought was going to be a pleasant stay. Please hit like if this was helpful.

The hotel was quite nice and the staff was mostly accommodating. As a senior citizen, I would have liked regular table seating in the casual restaurant. It seemed to be mostly high-tops and bar seating. I am also campaigning for higher toilet seats and hand-held showers standard.

Incredibly easy to give 5 stars to this hotel. First time in Pennsylvania, arrived very early in the morning, & the hotel, staff, room, cleanliness, everything was exceptional. Every person we dealt with was amazingly helpful. Food in the bar was a fun time. Pillows and bed comfort were freaking extraordinary. More than pleasantly surprised‼️‼️

Me and my sister recently stayed August 4th. We had 2 separate rooms. We went to breakfast which most Hilton properties it's complimentary with your stay. The housekeeping staff when we asked for directions was very annoyed and disrespectful when giving them to us. The restaurant was over priced and when got our food from the buffet some of it was not cooked fully at all. The waiting staff made us feel uncomfortable so bad. The rooms were nice location was good just some bad staff. We did ask for the 100%guarantee over this and nobody has replied or even did it

Great location! Terrible check-in. The front desk didn’t know what she was doing confused 🫤👎🏻 The pool area is old & rusty. Pool water looks like a blurry mud puddle 🤢🤮 When booking we booked a room for 5 people. Got there the room was only good for 4 people. No extra sofa bed. Very small room, I mean VERY small. Asked for a layover bed, got charged for that. Strange but okay? Wasn’t told that need to ask for housekeeping and when called to ask I was told it’s posted on the front desk, I took a photo of the front desk and it wasn’t posted anywhere. Would like a refund for the layover bed please. Wasn’t cool to book a stay for 5 people and cramp us into a small room that only sleeps 4 and charge for the layover bed. Wasn’t going to sleep on the floor, obviously! Contacted the people at the link below, still haven’t heard anything back. What a joke! Keep my tzedakah money.

The service and location are great, but the rooms and halls need a good deep clean as there are a lot of dusty and dirty spots. The parking is affordable ($10), and the hotel bar had great service. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the HVAC was great. I'd recommend this if you want to visit downtown Harrisburg.

Nice hotel. Stayed here for a conference. It’s THE hotel for most events in the Capital. Rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The staff were friendly as well. The fitness suite is very nice with a bike, 2 ellipticals, 3 treadmills, 2 benches, and plenty of free weights. Food at the conference was good and the staff was quick to accommodate anything needed.

Went here for a birthday celebration brunch. It was really wonderful, good food, good service, the private room was great for my birthday party. We didn't stay at the hotel because we all live close by

Andrew behind the bar is the exemplary hotel bar tender. I arrived on a busy Tuesday night to excellent service, drinks and a small dinner. The elevators were out of order so I appreciated my fifth floor room.

Great hotel, dated but clean. Really friendly staff. But the choice to have centrally managed HVAC is a killer, it was 72 in the room at check in (in winter) and has continued to rise to 75 throughout the day. Front desk told me "only heating is available in the winter, turn off the unit and they'd send up a fan". A fan only goes so far, and it's only getting warmer in here. If you don't like super warm rooms, don't stay here during the winter. I certainly won't again.

It is a very nice hotel to stay in if you are traveling for business! Very clean rooms and a great location. But something ruined the whole experience for me there is a restaurant manager that was very rude to me not only to me but I also noticed his attitude with the staff. His name is “Najib” and he has a fake smile on and clearly has a problem and I think this needs to be taken care of. I will definitely stay again if there aren’t rude managers like him!

Comfortable rooms and delicious food. However, the pool wasn't great and the guests at the time were very loud. Kids were running around throwing ice at each other in the halls and making tons of noise on our floor into the late hours.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! Everyone was helpful and friendly, especially Marc in Valet. My only complaint was ordering room service--there was no menu in the room or online, though Gary in room service took the time to read the menu to me on the phone so I could make my selections. Great stay.

Decent hotel in a great location. Check in was smooth, but during our stay we found the front desk staff less than helpful and the app and digital key was constantly down. Our room was clean and in great condition. The valet parking team was excellent - they provided the best customer service we experienced during our stay. Had a delicious dinner at 1700 as well. Overall, a great visit.

NOT a four star hotel. Sorry, but no, it's not. In my opinion, four hotels should be CLEAN! In a city like Harrisburg, maybe I shouldn't expect much but for the money I DEFINITELY expected better. Our total bill was $580+ for two nights. Plus Parking garage $15 per night. Front desk staff was nice, parking valet crew was great. Our reason for low stars: •Sheets/pillowcases had blood on them. •Hair in the bathroom upon arrival on floor and around trashcan. •Barn doors on the bathroom= no privacy. •crabtree and evelyn shampoo and conditioner smell like marijuana. I was shocked, I'm like what is this?!! Smells like weed, it's weird. •The room was humid and warm. Even when we turned the air down to 67° the temp stayed at 71°. •Furnishings we're old, outdated. The phone didn't even work, it didn't have any cords....not sure why??? •Homeless people outside, lots, screaming, cussing, one was punching his bicycle seat and swearing. Breakfast is not included at this location and is EXPENSIVE.

Absolutely Perfect. Wonderful place to stay for a small getaway. 3-4 miles from everything. If your a walker like me. This place puts you near everything. The staff was amazing with my puppy Bruce. Very enjoyable.

Greatest hotel view in Harrisburg! One of the nicest hotel stays I have ever experienced. Highly recommend. It also provided a level of safety that I've never witnessed before. The way they accommodate their customers is unprecedented. We were very pleased with everything.

During our recent stay at the Hilton in Harrisburg, we encountered a range of experiences that left us with mixed feelings. Here's a breakdown of our stay: Check-in and Front Desk: The initial impression was dampened by the unenthusiastic attitude of some of the front desk staff. It was disappointing to feel unwelcome right from the start. Room Condition: Our disappointment continued as we found ourselves dealing with a broken lock box, a malfunctioning fridge, and issues with in two out of the three rooms we had booked. Such inconveniences significantly impacted our overall stay. Restaurant Experience: The uncourteous behavior exhibited by the restaurant management was quite off-putting. They seemed to behave as if they were doing us a favor by accommodating our large group. The lack of hospitality was particularly disappointing when dining with our older parents and relatives. Room Service Woes: One of the most frustrating aspects of our stay was the repeated failure of the room service team to show up after multiple requests. We had to make over six calls just to get room service on the last day of our stay. This level of inconvenience was far from satisfactory. Technicians and Night Staff: Despite the disappointments, we did find some respite in the excellent technicians and night staff. Their helpfulness and professionalism were a welcome change and helped alleviate some of the issues we faced. Accommodations and Room Comfort: One bright spot was the large and spacious room we were provided with. It was a comfortable space, complete with a comfortable bed. This aspect of the stay was greatly appreciated, especially when traveling with our older family members. Additional Concerns: It was surprising to find that there were no cereal bowls in the restaurant, and the staff couldn't even provide a clear answer about their whereabouts. This added to the overall sense of inconsistency and confusion during our dining experiences. Furthermore, as seasoned travelers who have explored various destinations around the world, we must regrettably admit that this particular hotel stay at the Hilton in Harrisburg stands out as one of the more disappointing experiences we've encountered. In particular, when we reflect on our stays at other reputable chains like Marriott and even at different Hilton locations, this stay pales in comparison. The inconsistencies in service, the unaddressed issues, and the lack of attention to customer satisfaction make it hard for us to recommend this Hilton to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We hope that our feedback serves as an opportunity for the Hilton management to address these concerns and strive for the excellence that we've come to expect from other establishments in the hospitality industry. In conclusion, our stay at the Hilton in Harrisburg was marked by a mix of highs and lows. While the spacious room and comfortable bed were highlights, the unenthusiastic front desk staff, room issues, restaurant management, and room service struggles left us disappointed. The presence of helpful technicians and night staff offered some relief, but overall, the experience fell short of our expectations, especially when considering the needs of our older family members.

The Hilton Harrisburg exceeded our expectations with its impeccable service and luxurious atmosphere. The tiramisu was a decadent delight, perfectly balanced and rich in flavor. The steamed broccoli was cooked to perfection, retaining its vibrant color and crunch. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and shrimp, which were fresh and succulent. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring a delightful dining experience. We highly recommend the Hilton Harrisburg for its exceptional cuisine and top-notch hospitality.

Stayed at the Hilton for a weekend while attending a wedding. It is in a great location with close proximity to museums, the capitol building and the river waterfront walk. The Hilton has a very nice restaurant for three meals a day which was reasonably priced. The meals we had were excellent. Because of wedding activities we mainly had breakfast and lunch there. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The prices have gone up and the amenities have been cut. The room service is only every 4 days unless you request it. The Tower floor is only a basic room with no amenities. The bar and the valet were the best part of my stay. Oh and they advertise robes with Tower floor amenities. Only one robe per couple. I requested another one which never received. Don't waste your money, too many other hotels that are better.

I attended a wedding at the hotel over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the accommodations were wonderful. Tyquan, at the front desk, was exceptional, and ensured that my family’s rooms were properly located so that we could enjoy each other’s company while staying in Harrisburg.

Good room. Comfortable beds. Great location. Excellent restaurants. I will definitely stay again. Just needs a full-length mirror. I didn't know if I looked ok until I got in the elevator each morning.

The Hilton team made our annual corporate retreat and dinner very special. The meeting rooms, fine dining experience and executive level sleeping rooms were excellent. Hilton staff were so accomodating and made us feel like we were the only people in the hotel, even though there were much larger groups there at the same time. Thanks so much!

I enjoyed my stay at the Harrisburg Hilton. The bed was the perfect firmness for sleeping and the restaurants had very good food and service. The overall experience complimented the Shakespeare Theatre Association conference very well.

Stayed on 12th floor, room was cold but they brought me a space heater. Water took a solid 10 min to get hot. Bedding was stained. Friendly service, good sandwich from restaurant but chips were stale

Only hotel I stay in downtown. Dated hotel but classy, comfortable and polite staff. Enjoy the parking garage to hotel connection so no need to walk outside. Restaurants are bar are very good. A little New York in York area. I miss the piano bar lounge. That put it over the top.

  • 1/5 Sylvia W. 2 years ago on Google
Not hot water for the shower, mildy warm if best. The bathroom is dirty, the baseboards looked like that have never been cleaned. No trash can liner, which is odd. And to top it off no coffee avilable.

It's clean and business friendly. Good location. Lots of food spots nearby. Guests look pretty human. The hallway carpet just seems a little dated. Other than that, check it out.

Attended a conference here and the food was so good! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all well done and with lots of attention by the catering staff. The main conference room was very cold so if you're attending anything here be sure and bring a warm sweater. Front desk and restaurant staff is wonderful.

Nice location, close to cavers which are about 25 miles. Lots of things to do around. Only let down was that the lift stopped working and we were on the 5th floor. Had to use the stairs. Rooms are nice size.

When in Harrisburg for business, this is my "go to" lodging. Consistent with Hilton quality, it is centrally located and very convenient. Meetings are always preferred at the hotel, which is very accommodating. Even parking is easy in the adjacent garage without having to go outside.

  • 4/5 Jon W. 1 year ago on Google
I visit this location multiple times every year and the location is great. You can walk the area easily. The rooms are standard and well maintained. They have closed the executive lounge which was a nice benefit while there on business. This location always seems to have elevator issues during my stays. Never fun when you have to wait 30 mins to get downstairs because there is only one functional lift.

  • 5/5 Jared C. 1 year ago on Google
Staff was welcoming and room was clean. Hotel culture is very professional and deserving of a 5 star review. The hotel seems like an excellent choice for business or leisure travel in Harrisburg. We had a reservation at 1700 steak house on the ground floor and they were phenomenal. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is essentially in the center of Harrisburg, meaning easy access to the Capitol, Harrisburg local government, and most business locations in the city. Also connected to the mall location, Strawberry Square. We will most definitely return.

  • 1/5 Jerome M. 1 year ago on Google
Okay location is central but this is Harrisburg downtown. The parking deck is the worst part of it. Not much the hotel can do about it but it is narrow, tight and low head clearance. And far from hotel. The rooms are small but okay. Elevators slow. Little upside.

  • 4/5 Reina G. 9 months ago on Google
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Great location for walking to the capital, market, island, restaurants, etc. Self-parking was easy, building is in good condition, our room was a larger than expected which was great. Next time we would bring our own pillows, as the room pillows were pretty flat. The pool area was in disarray, both when we went to check it out, the later when we used it. No clean towels, and dirty towels piled on chairs and around the pool. Mngmt was quick to have it cleaned up and bring clean towels once brought to their attention.

  • 5/5 Michelle S. 10 months ago on Google
It’s really about the convenience for this one. Rooms are clean and convenient to get to. It’s easy to walk everywhere. Elevators are located so that you do not have to walk through an entire place to get to them. In general, it’s always clean. It’s usually very busy. As soon as one convention ends, another is starting or going on at the same time. Parking is cheapest we have found in the general area and it’s easy to get to the Capitol from here for visits.

1). Front desk staff was very helpful. 2). The room was fine, nothing special, could use a small microwave. 3). Housekeeping was more than adequate. 4). The rooms used for the conference and dining were functional. I would recommend this hotel.

  • 3/5 Ikhide E. 10 months ago on Google
Update: You might be unlucky to stay in a room that gets really hot at night even though the thermostat says 60 degrees. Ask the front desk to make sure the AC works. Fans should be a staple in every room. To the person that replies to these reviews: I've read all your replies. To still experience the struggle that others complain about, it must mean you're not taking it seriously. If you read this. BOYCOTT THIS PLACE! Everything started off great until I needed to eat. I came in for a day and some change and decided to buy food elsewhere to eat for the day and onwards. I'd bought it earlier in the day and so by dinner, my food was cold. I needed a microwave. I reached out to guest services and was told blatantly that there is only one public microwave for all of 15 floors. When I suggested that each time I needed to heat up my food, I would need to go down the elevator and back up, she said "Yes!" with so much vigor that I think she thought it made sense. World! Please, tell me that's not ridiculous. Holiday Inn is way cheaper and a better room especially because it has a microwave. It doesn't even make sense to pay so much for something that can't give you basic amenities that you have at home. Might as well have given me a storage closet instead because I didn't need much but a bed and a microwave. That's all. I thought I was missing out on some major experience as it relates to Hilton but I realize I was fooled. Hilton can't empathize with the struggles of normal people so after this, I'm out! ✌🏾 And you should do the same. I'm tired of companies doing the bare minimum to make profits.

I stayed in this location for about a week for the Horse show and I loved how nice and clean the rooms were. I loved the outstanding services provided by the front disk guys JP and Kevin. The only issue I noticed during my stay was that one of the managers whose name is Kelsey was really rude and disrespectful towards other staff. I believe in a place as good as Hilton, there shouldn’t be such shameful behavior by the management team as it makes both guests and staff feel uncomfortable. I really hope this issue is being taken care of.

For starters, the garage parking is 6 foot 6 max. So be aware of your car height. Otherwise you have to use valet. The walk from the garage is a bit long. 2 elevators and corridors so if you can’t walk far, try to get dropped off up front or use valet. Also be aware that the hotel is in an interesting area. Homeless sleep in the garage halls as you walk to and from hotel so don’t be startled as you turn corners. Main Street out front is a major bar and restaurant area. Hotel Staff was great. Friendly and willing to help. They were very accommodating especially at check in when the computers went down for quite some time. Rooms need some work. Lots of cosmetic needs. Bathtub was peeling, no fan in bathroom, grout lines, etc. one issue we see in many hotels…the room held 4 people and they only put 3 towels. Why I’ll never understand. But we just called and they brought up more. One major issue was the a/c unit. The fan didn’t blow well making the room EXTREMELY humid. Everything in the room was damp in humidity. Also the outlets are in odd spaces. Especially the one in the hall outside bathroom. We kept knocking the plug out every time the bathroom door slip open. Overall it’s a nice place to stay. We would return with hopes of the upgrades necessary.
