Great menu options from salads to platters. Food is excellent and the service is great. Great neighborhood restaurant and pub. Popular with the locals, firefighters and law enforcement. Good place for families, too. Country music plays over the speakers and multiple TVs with various sports games are scattered around the bar. Revisited many times and the friendliness of the staff and quality of the food has not changed. Still a great place to enjoy a meal.

Moved down to the Charlotte area from the NYC area. I’m so happy we found this spot. Reminds me of the pubs from home — great food, friendly hometown service. One of our new go-to spots. Nice change of pace from the chains in the area. They do a wonderful job. Excited to try the pizza next! (Attached to the pub). Seems like they do a killer takeout business.

Stopped here for lunch with the family. It was good. The one major thing that wasn't listed anywhere (they charge a higher price if it is not cash!!!). So a little more on a card. Not a Huge deal but please make this CLEAR to patrons up Front! Buger, chicken sandwich all good. Fries, tater tots all good. I had the little buck it was good. My wife had the angry chicken sandwich, good too. Kids meals looked decent.

As soon as we sat down a waitress came over to take the order that was great because we already knew that we wanted 12 chicken wings and she took the order and within 10 minutes the food was on our table in front of us. I thought that was great but wasn’t thinking that it was probably food sitting around already. We began to eat we both noticed the wings were dried up but being hungry continued eat off of two wings and then waitress came over and l said the wings are dry and old. she said I will get you fresh ones my husband didn’t want to make a fuss so he kept his 6 wings. Then 25 minutes later waitress bought me 4 wings and said you had eaten 2 wings that why I gave only 4 wings that is our policy. I thought that was ridiculously after waiting so long and was given such dried up and cold chicken in the beginning. She was very rude when I questioned her about her policy. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like to drink alcohol and don’t care what you put in your body.

The take-out pizza was ok. The service was horrible. They need to forgo providing take-out if they're too busy to service the customers. I did order in advance, and the pizza was ready shortly after I arrived. One person said she'd be right with me and continued her other work. A different person finally checked me out. And yes, the place was busy, but that's no excuse for ignoring a customer who only needs a quick checkout to be out of your hair. Seems like a management issue, and yes I will be happy to go elsewhere for better pizza and better service.

I'll definately be visiting this place again. Local bar and restaurant (incl families and kids). Frm my first visit It seemed like there were quite a few regulars. Parking can be a bit tricky so I suggest be careful as this wonderful place is on the corner. Anyway. Our server was very nice and made good suggestions. I suggest the jalapeño appetizers instead of fried pickles. They don't have a cocktail menu but they do have a full bar. I stuck to LITs and their shot special of the day was okie. For food he ordered shrimp po boy which he thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered Chicken philly and home made chips for side and it was good. Be patient as they are short staff which at this point everyone is .. Will be back. Clean rr.

Had a fantastic lunch here today. Service was prompt, even though they were both quite busy. Both servers were friendly and engaging. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! Their hoagie rolls are probably the best I've ever had! Fried mushrooms were huge and well cooked. The grilled haddock sandwiches were amazing and just simply done with lettuce, tomato and onion. The kicker for both of us here was they serve Pepsi! Super bonus to us! We will return soon to try more selections!

Nice local grub, enjoyed the nachos & house chips👍. Back again, really enjoyed the 🍕 this time. Never had a crust quite like this before, it rocked 👍👍.

I had an amazing time at The Hoppy Hare! Pub 49 has a vibrant and lively ambiance, perfect for socializing with friends. The beer list is impressive, featuring a great mix of local and international brews. The food exceeded expectations, with delicious pub classics and creative twists. The staff was welcoming and provided excellent service. A must-visit for beer lovers and foodies alike.

This place is a must stop when I'm in town to see my family. Great food, great prices and great service. Highly recommend.

I had wings and they were outstanding. They had the perfect amount of sauce and heat. My wife had a pholly and she said it was one of the best she has ever had. They also had a great selection of beers that made choosing one difficult. The service was great also. They were pretty busy but the staff was always timely with asking if you needed anything or delivering food and drinks.

Service was great, along with atmosphere. Had ordered chicken Philly, french dip, cheesesteak, quesadilla, chicken salad, and taco bowl. Some dishes came with fries. Fries were really good. The taco bowl was ok. Did not have much of a taste. Looked like a bowl of ground beef. Philly cheesesteak looked delicious, but didn’t have much taste, and tasted like grease. Person eating the french dip said it was very good.

Great pub atmosphere, drinks were good, service was great. Ordered burgers, but the buns were dry. Fries were good, however. Also low marks for charging prices higher than what’s on the menus and a credit card surcharge. When you charge $12 for a burger and $3 for a soda, you can afford to cover the credit card fee and update your menus.

I had a large order this afternoon for myself and 8 coworkers. I called the restaurant around 11 and they said the food would be ready by 12:15. We all had a variety of items. The girl who rang up the order checked and made sure everything was correct with all of the correct sauces. My order was ready on time and everyone enjoyed their meals. I will definitely call Pub 49 again for a large lunch order! Delicious and great service!
